I stayed at Parris Isand. For 3 months and 17 days. Only to be sent home. I was 18 then now I'm 20 and still training to go back. I have to have and EGA now. I still remember everything. And I learned a lot I know I will make it when I return
@@sfmc98 I did some serious thinking in regards to going back, but considering what I'd need to do, the very limited time I have now compared to before I shipped, and what my friends from my platoon have told me, I'm just gonna go Air Force and go officer. Do online college and try my best to become a pilot. I'm looking out for my life and family, not just my ego.
@@zacharylaprete1940 I shouldn't have jumped to conclusions and should have been clearer. I meant to say that NOT doing some form of military service, Army, Coast Guard, Air Force, anything is something you'd regret. And having seen the Marines at least in boot camp (which isn't the same thing as the fleet) you at least have somewhat of an inside view. I always tell people not to join the Marines unless they have their heart set on being one. Otherwise, you risk being miserable when you could join a service which has the same pay, better equipment, better accommodations and a friendlier way. Good luck to you. Don't divert from the path of becoming an officer and pilot. Sometimes the services make it harder to go from enlisted to officer. But take it from me, from the time of entry to retirement, will fly by and you'll still be very young.
Recruit Scott Lima company 3053 and dropped on training day nine. Plantar fascia. I remember sr telling me about a drill instructor who ran whole cycle with it and it got worse but didn't stop him. Mines got worse but used to it now. Nothing can stop me from what I want to do
In case anyone is wondering, DI SGT Manzke is now Chief Drill Instructor SSGT Manzke, his last platoon as a senior drill instructor graduated yesterday June 16th 2017 I was in his platoon, great drill instructor, I am proud to have had him.
No frickin way, they were a follow series dream team. They were both great at drill. Not suprised ssgt miller became a drill master now though they won final drill in my cycle.
Just by looking at the backs of the heads of the recruits, I can tell most are thinking “Oh, man, what have I got myself into?” And a few are thinking “This so AWESOME!!” Respect & Semper Fi, gents.

It’s been two years, you got your EGA, right?
I got dropped on TD-50 and got sent home in October of this year. I won't forget what I learned, but I'm not going back.
