Pretty straightforward. Loosen your exhaust pipe, remove your primary cover, remove your starter solenoid, and you should be able to wiggle the whole thing out. Another great video ruclips.net/video/fgWc2Ous4Wg/видео.html

what kind of brake pads do you use? Mine are organic and work ok, but not awesome. Thinking about trying sintered bronze.
👍👍👍
On the one that was shiny metal uses dark metal but I had the center not break and lost the cover somewhere south of me. Welded in a new nut it's it been there quite a while now
😢👍👍
Thank youfor vid 😊
Wish I had a sidecar for the Road King!
I always cheat and spread the fork until you can remove the shaft assembly, make your repairs then just pinch the fork back to its original shape. Cuts messing with the solenoid out entirely.
I had seen ur video once just to make sure i was doing it right i got my first 2001 roadking im 20, last Saturday, i would start up n notice the lights of the check engine then i turned it on @ night and seen the light and got a bit concerned, came back to your video looks like thats normal 🎉
Thanks for sharing
We have the same bike. Color and all. Thanks for the help
Was fun. Thanks for sharing your experience.
Does not have correct front end. Missing dampener. Not a side car. Bike
Side car motorcycles don't have jiffy stands.
Well worth the asking price. I have one with an 80 FLT . I've turned down 15k for it .
Does it come with a toaster ?
Yes it does if you pay full price
What are you asking

I think $16,500 for a 42-year-old motorcycle with no reverse is too much. Sorry.
@@demophys4883 No need to apologize. If it were a Evo or twin cam it would be even less. If it was an early shovel or a panhead it would even be more. Go price a nice shovelhead and a Harley sidecar that matches in color. Now you have the fun of trying to mount them to each other correctly so it rides right. You will be 12-13k easily just to buy the components unless you find something out the middle of nowhere. I spent two years looking for a deal myself and this was when occasionally you could find a TLE side car in the 5K range.
also if I listed it at the actual end price people would still want to "win" and haggle me down more
Kool .......👍🏍️

How is the wiring of the late model go with the 87?
😢👍👍👍
Whats your jetting ?
THANSK for sharing
ruclips.net/video/yBggAEkTfB8/видео.html if that bolt is removed, is the arm, that attaches to the sidecar then able to 'move' a bit, like rotate up and down for alignment or is it suppose to 100% stay in its place when disconnected from the bike?
Once installed at all 3 points none of the bolts move but there is flex in the whole frame as one would expect. Adjustment comes from the eyelets but needs to be dialed in before.
autistic & biker?
Exhaust gas oxygen sensor??? Hmmm! The net is full of guys swapping carbs because they don’t run right. I jetted my FLH CV with just that set up and worked great. Checked the mixture and adjusted or changed jets starting from main jet first to pilot jet last using the STOIC numbers. Once done I removed the sensor, wiring and gauge. You appear to be the only other guy who has done that. Well done. I did notice though that as I found, the hardest part is all the peripheral stuff. Cable length, fittings, bolts brackets, choke. I put a Mikuni VM38 on my ironhead and a CV on my FLH. It would be nice to swap them around to compare but the aforementioned little stuff is really the biggest part of a carb change, not the carb itself. Didn’t some one once make an observation about the Devil being in the detail. Stephen from Tasmania again. Cheers.
Hi RRK. I’ve been using one on my 78 FLH for 10 years or so. I weigh 90kg and that weight eats a a fair bit of the initial travel. I like the high and forward ride. The standard fixed seat is too low and the single cop style seat on the post pivoted from between the tanks tilts down and back and makes me feel like I will fall off the back. It makes me hold tighter on the bars and I also tense my torso and thigh and legs to hold on. A seat should support the rider and keep them relaxed. The single seat although it looks terrific is horrible at doing what it should do. That left me with the comfort flex. That seat tilts too far down at the front even after tailoring the spacers where it fixes to the spring frame. This downward tilt and the hump at the rear of the riders position make me slide forward on the seat and in my jeans which is uncomfortable on my scrotum. I really don’t want to ditch my bowers in favour of briefs. Once slid forward the seat base flexes and the ride is not what it should be. I have consider having the seat reshaped but the distinct hump at the rear of the riders position is supported by a distinct hump in the steel seat base so maybe there will be little foam with which to play. Overall I like it better than anything I have tried but there is room for improvement. Great to see someone else using the comfort flex as most that were ever built seem to be for sale in nearly new condition. I really do hate the trend in seating that has made HD and Indian have the riding dynamics that they now display. Lower and further back is not for me! Higher and further forward is much more enjoyable. I will look at the rest of your channel but I do hope you have some detail on your sidecar attachment positions and hardware. I had a side car on an XS650 Yamaha about 40 years ago and found it fun but underpowered. I kept the sidecar and swapped the XS for a Suzuki GS1000. All I can say is that the GS had enough torque and power to make the experience exactly what is should be; enjoyable and effortless but not overpowering. I have been thinking about another outfit and I have the FLH so maybe........ I set my two previous outfits up on flat concrete with two string lines and a tape measure using the instruction in an old triumph manual as a guide. They didn’t wobble/head shake and they steered relatively lightly. I had another outfit at the time that was accessible, belonging to a friend, which was the same model of sidecar and bike that steering like a Mack truck with flat steer tires. He was shocked at how well mine rode and steered. Just thought I’d share. Love your machinery. All the best from the other side of the planet. Stephen in Tasmania.
What is this color called?
01 Real Teal....sometimes it looks green and other times blue
Sounds good. Throaty but not annoyingly loud. I can't stand the sound of unbaffled pipes, myself.
Agreed, I like unbaffled in videos on YT but not in person as I can't turn down the volume. New video with these on my Shovelhead coming soon.
IF AND WHEN YOU TIRE OF HER PLEASE KINDLY LET ME KNOW I DIG THAT RIDE VERY MUCH. TY BILL
I am having the issue did you get your speedo fixed
I've also changed the springs themselves when I did mine.. I had another seat post it was broken off down inside the tube when I bought the bike so I looked at those rings and combined different springs.. then there's also an over spring that goes over the tube that protrudes out of the frame for extra stiffness if needed
I learn one thing at a time to...
Sweet ......🏍️
Very nice bike ! Thanks for the info.
Sweet bike 👍👍👍
I'm thinking of doing this also I don't know if I'll find some old pieces maybe on eBay or something....
The reproduction kits are available for earlier and later shovelheads and cost a around $200. What year is your FLH?

@@rhodeisland_roadking where are the title says 1980s.. and I'm kind of putting it back to that.. I've done a few videos on my channel about it.. I ended painting at sparkling Burgundy a 1968 color... When I got at the paint was where the clear coat was coming off it had some pretty ugly flames... The motor is delkron cases in a tried to figure out well the best I can and I think it's an 88 inch stroked motor and it has a 5-speed sputhe transmission
