As a Scottish Canadian born in Toronto [south Etobicoke in my case, and 50+ years ago now, so imagine the demographics of the day rather than of today] I remember catching heat because my mother had an accent [dad went to high school here, so didn't really have an accent; mom came as an adult]. Also of curiosity value, a Croatian Canadian kid named Colin harassed me on the dual grounds of being 'British' and [nominally] Protestant, not [nominally] 'Christian' [by which he meant Catholic]. He really loved Ireland and the IRA and I only later inferred from one of the songs he liked that as a Croatian he was to some degree Catholic and had just internalized the internal struggles of Northern Ireland and made them his own. On the whole, looking back now, that was a pretty weird correlation of players. On the moral upside, the one kid who beat me up a couple of times had an Irish surname, O'Neill, but although I don't know what his motives actually were [I'm not sure I knew then], I doubt it was Irish nationalism in his case. Again, weird. The group I mostly associated with was me, very much a nominal member and semi-outsider of the four, one guy whose parents were English, another whose parents were Polish, and one kid whose family had been 'Chinese'. The only other thing I remember is that I was the only only child of the four.

I’ve noticed almost all of the things pointed out in the Summer Night’s clip for years. It’s so fun to hear someone else notice things like that and explain their importance in the scene. I think this stuff is so interesting, but so many people just miss it. Same thing with a lot of animated classics. But I never could figure out the dude in the background - Thanks for sharing the explanation. 😊

oh even as a storyboard it never ceases to amaze me how awesome this scene was! I really loved the fact Duchess grabbed her stuffed toy & their clear expressions all in all I rlly love this show, can't wait for the new seasons ^^

I was younger than you when the movie came out and saw it a lot in the theater! I also loved that photo book and still have a copy today.
