As long as Franklin does not have to play a team with buckeyes on their helmet, or are ranked - we may have a chance.
This was brilliant
Mike the Mailman's optimism is infectious!
Haha
hilarious!

Great idea from The Blogy!
Thanks for the breakdown! I need some advice: I have a SafePal wallet with USDT, and I have the seed phrase. (alarm fetch churn bridge exercise tape speak race clerk couch crater letter). What's the best way to send them to Binance?
I believe the quote of “balls of solid Rock” is Robin Hood-Prince of Thieves.
Leave it to a fellow Chris to nail it. Kudos to you, sir. Bonus points awarded.
LOL! Chris, I’m not a big movie goer, but for whatever reason, that quote randomly stuck in my head given all the crap up there. Now, I’ll go head to head with anyone on Penn State Football trivia going all the way back to the 60’s. thanks Chris-my kids are laughing hysterically.
Landon has his own podcast and earrings 😮
Dollar Tree Pat Narduzzi 😂😂😂
Wasn't the movie Draft Day
“Mike Locksley is like Dollar Tree Pat Nurduzzi”. That’s fantastic!
Somewhere in an interview, either Franklin or Allar said that they wanted to throw that last play to the flat, but every time I watch it, I think they're lying.
interesting
Watch you guys every week. Landon is by far the most charismatic guest you've had. Really enjoyed this episode
20:36 Georgia southern plays Appalachian state this week.
I wish i was as positive about everything as Mike is 😂😂😂 You should get Landon on more often as well, hearing him trash Maryland was wonderful 😂
Franklin said in the press conference that the fake punt has been called several times but never had the right look and was called off. Do you know or can you explain why their defensive formation made it a go? It was purely because those 2 defenders were on the LOS?
Can never get enough Landon! Made my night again! Wonderful Guest!
Mike the Mailman showing up in short sleeves: True Football Guy!
Landon is the best guest you’ve had on this season
More than a guest! We prefer to think of him as an adjunct. But yes, he’s great and we were happy to have him.
We found Landon's burner account! No, he's great
@@ForTheBlogy I can promise this isn’t a George Pickens situation😂
Had the opposite experience of Kevin as we tailgated with Gopher fans and they were gracious and we got to see one of our great Gopher friends who we first met live in 2019. He and his wife came to the Whiteout a few years ago also. We had a great time out there and it was a sweeter visit than 2019 due to the win.
I think calling the fake punt is a good example of what Bill Parcells used to preach; “Give your players a chance to win the game.” Call the gutsy play and rely on them to pull it off. If it doesn’t work at least they had a chance.
Mainly 2 TE sets from here on out?
Kind of alarming that the o-line is struggling with these simple things 11 games into the season. It's shocking to me that they actually are better in pass protection then they are in the run game. Has this been most the running games issue all season? My biggest thing i see weekly *and for the past 2 seasons now* is that the running backs struggle to make guys miss especially when its the last defender between them and a chunk play.
Great play calling on the drive. Gutsy
I thought our OL was straight up getting beat, but this was a great look at how -- esp in the running game -- we derped our way to failed plays.
Alabama’s O line was ranked #1 for the season. Injuries have changed that but that line was manhandled by Oklahoma. Considering some of the injuries our line has dealt with they did a good enough job this game. I saw more whiff blocks by our TEs than the o line and I think our center is still making some poor decisions on passing off blocks and he’s getting blown up too much
James Franklin - COTY
I don't think the call was crazy. In my opinion had the punted the ball away, they would've lost. PSU's defense was not stellar that day and they were struggling to stop the Gophers on 3rd down. Also Minnesota had made multiple drives into the field goal zone. There was a good chance PSU would never have seen the ball again had they given it back and they would have lost.
The defense never looks good in the moment for whatever reason til you look back at the stats. Minnesota didn't really put up many points on offense after the TD on their first possession. They scored 9 points as result of the 2 special teams errors in the second quarter, and kicked two field goals in the second half.
Is it me, or is the WR route tree just not imaginative? I mean when we played WV we had WR’s clearing safeties out and then throwing crossers to Trey Wallace for huge plays and I feel like we haven’t done it the rest of the season. These stop routes look horrible man, the WR’a just run into the defenders and turn around and stand still, WTF kind of play is that? I’m of the mind right now that it’s not the WR’s who can’t get open, it’s poor route concepts. And please, do a video correcting me if I’m wrong.
@mikescatena5732 WVU isn't a great team or very talented. They may have 1-2 dudes on that team. As far as concept goes I've seen at least 8 times this year Allar could have hit a deeper route concept that was wide open and quite a few more if he put it up there could have been a catch. Hard to see all this without the tape though. My overall impression is routes are there but tightly contested 90% of the time and the other times it's Allar missing 1-1 with good leverage -HS OC and QB coach
I think a big issue with something like those sit routes, our WR's have a tendency to turn inside for their break on those outside routes. I don't know if that's deliberately coached or what, but if you've got someone like Allar who has the arm to drive the ball to the sideline, at 4:45, I don't see any reason Clifford should be turning inside as the most outside guy (and not to lay the blame only on him, Wallace did it on the missed 3rd down pass that was like a foot outside his reach earlier in the game as well). If Clifford is turning outside, it massively increases the zone where you can safely deliver a ball without the defensive #2 being able to make a play on it. Anything outside the numbers should be fair game, either for an out or comeback. But he turns inside and the defender gets to potentially jump the throw because it basically *has* to come inside the numbers. Maybe we could get a video breakdown of that and why they would choose to do that from @ForTheBlogy ?
@the_mvrck fair point I'd like to see what you are referring too. As an OC you'd like to see if you do turn towards middle of the field and outside leverage throw. Maybe done intentionally to shade the defender almost like a box out . But then the question becomes is the ball being placed on the side of the boundary. Almost sounds like a soft zone beater you are talking about Edit: I see what you mean- those routes are meant to be zone beaters. Drew 100% could have ripped that ball. Placement and confidence is key in those. Tight windows but outside boundary throw could have been caught. He could have even progressed through the read to what looks like Warren at the top of the 40 open in the soft zone there with 10 yards of space
It looked like Clifford just quit on the route entirely instead of trying to give Drew that outside option. it's one thing to get locked down or not be able to beat press coverage. It's another to be lazy when it comes to route-running.
Penn States entire offense is Tyler Warren. Its essentially a high school offense- Do whatever it takes to get it to your playmaker. Offensive line is really average and at times really bad. Allar wont or doesn't see deep shots. Against any sort of true top 15 teams this offense will ultimately putter to a halt and get dominated
Not surprisingly this is the same assessment ur wife said about u. Happy Thanksgiving
It feels like the O-line has gotten worse each game. You have to wonder if guys are getting nicked up and are losing mobility and quickness.
@bluejay3945 dang you officially have the same amount of deep shots Allar attempts every year 😂 decent comment ill accept it 😂
@teekay_1 sure happens to every team. These issues have been there for every game though. Absolutely doesn't help when you don't have depth at the position either. Look at OSU for the game against PSU. Major starting line out for that game yet next man stepped up and played great against PSU.
@ ♥️ u dude. I’m just a dope. Ur comment was awesome. Thanks for laughing at my insanity. Let’s rock these playoffs and I’ll try to hit on u next post 😆

The O-line blocking looks horrible in this game.
yeah it's not good
Surprising the lack of communication was coming from the left side of the line between 71 and 66, when they had an injury to 68 on the right side.
@ForTheBlogy been an issue most of the year. Going to be a real problem against any sort of talented front in the playoff. My biggest concern is that they can't even do wide zone concepts since that's one solution to help your run game with a bad line. Thoughts there?
Drew's newfound mobility is the most underappreciated storyline from this season, because this o-line seems to be getting worse each week. Oh well, win 1 more.
@cliffordsmith4699 definitely needed this season. He needs to make strides in contested throws and deep shots and he will be a tru top 10 QB
Can’t block. Absolutely “Not a TE1”
On the fake punt, the analytics said it was the right move. Had they actually punted, they would have almost certainly have lost. The fake punt was essentially the same as trying to make the gophers jump or actually making a first down on 4th an 1.
Couldn't disagree more. When Franklin's calling plays, we run on first down trying to go big on big behind backups lineman. Pass game gets conservative against a ball hawking defense playing the box. 1 for 11 third down conversion. Meanwhile Minnesota had the TE blocked inside zone and the intermediate in-cut from their veteran CAA transfer. Something happened after we got punched in the mouth with that reverse double flea. Finally started hitting the intermediate away taking advantage of Minnesota's lack of team speed and mobility. Think outside the box, and the playbook opened up. P.S. Rulli.
Yeah, and I don't agree that he was bold doing the fake punt; with 4:29 left in the game, had they punted the game was over for Penn State. Their inability to stop the Gophers consistently on 3rd down (they were 5 of 12 in 3rd down efficiency, not great, but better than PSU's 3rd down efficiency 1-11), they were getting into field goal range regularly and I think they would have collapsed at that point and lost 28-26. All of which would have been irrelevant if PSU could stop Minnesota from blocking two kicks. I don't think anybody on Penn State's side was steller that day. And they lost two players for the season as well.
The writing every week has me laughing and the heartbeat had me dying🤣
Thanks Robert! We appreciate your viewership!
Still crying after this loss
your best video ever!
low bar to clear, but thanks!
What’s going to get lost in the narrative and good vibes here is that it never should have gotten to this point. Minnesota is 6-5, and they outplayed Penn State on both sides of the ball. PSU played yet another smoke-and-mirrors, ultra conservative offensive scheme. The two best parts of the game on offense for Penn State where when they threw deep to Evans for a TD, and when they dropped all the mindless shifting (that fools absolute no one!) in the 3rd quarter and just called standard plays and moved the ball down the field and scored. The fact that the fake punt was needed to preserve a 1-point lead over a weak opponent who was a double-digit underdog is pretty disgraceful. Another game, another spread that failed to be covered.
Later it gets in the season, the harder it is to win. But, there are some major gross warts on this team, for sure. The running game is broken.
@@ForTheBlogy A transfer from Stroudsburg U in PA was wrecking the interior of the PSU line for the gophers. Unacceptable given the theoretical differential in talent between the two teams.
Googled the bbq rubs on ur post and it directed me to a massage parlor outside of Philipsburg. Great content. I’d love to know what JF said to Allar on the sidelines
🤣
Well done video! Yea... PSU wasn't ready to play, or play hard, and Minnesota treated it like their Superbowl with 100% effort. That was not the team that lost to Rutgers.
Hey Blogy man excellent analysis & commentary. Mine included to many expletives to share with the general public. Congrats to Nittany Nation!

Love the opening. That was definitely all of us. (Maybe a little faster even). Somebody get @JomboyMedia on the lip reading. Overall, great win!
Fuck Penn State..
If Illinois is going to be the only competent team you beat, do you plan on losing to Minnesota? We beat Illinois.
