I absolutely loved this place as a child when I lived in the UK. It was such a fun place to visit.
🤩
What was their excuse? Not a covid risk surely?
@@figmento1 the only excuse I heard was that an artist tried to claim money from the library because their art was damaged by the sun when exhibited in the window. More recently I was told that it was a management decision and management decisions were final. Who knows🤔
@@gileswhiteheadartist Bah, They should have sued the Sun. Everybody else does!

Amazing 😮
Aarg No! Stop the voices in my head! Excellent!
Cheers Martin! You forgot the raspberries😮
Lovely stuff. I too was obsessed by the things, especially spaghetti's and ball bearings
Thanks Eric! I never had any ball bearings. Where did get yours from?
@@gileswhiteheadartist I think i got them from my Dad, who worked down at Reeds paper mill. I had one that must have been about 4 inches across that kids were willing to trade their entire marble collection for it
@@Albionmythandlegend crikey! That sounds like a ball bearing and a half! Did you trade and then get your dad to bring you another?
Such elegant entertainment. Could listen to your stories all day. 👍🏻
Thanks so much Michael😊👍🏻
Thank you for this. Absolutely delightful. 😊😊
Thank you - So glad you enjoyed it.
Fascinating! I always thought that I knew how etching worked but I didn't but now I do.
You’ll be able to make a suit of armour now - or at least decorate one.
Does Maidstone Art College still excist? I've not seen it round the city.
Not any more. After becoming KIAD, it became UCA. The Oakwood park campus in Maidstone closed in 2014 but still has a film course at Maidstone Studios.
🥲
I failed trying to making fluxus possible, but it turns out that failure makes it possible anyway xD
It's Basically skateboarding before there was Skateboarding , just like Bas Jan Ader.
Brilliant video! Wonderful art, and a really inspiring story. Thanks for sharing!

So nice to see hand built masterpieces like this preserved. Nice job Giles!
Very true. Thanks Kelly 👍🏻
Makes me wonder how they did with exams. Who knew this question would be so tough.😊

This just randomly popped up on my feed and it made me so happy to watch it!
How nice, they're thinking so hard about it
What wonderful footage!
Cheers! Happy days of art college.
