      It really depends on where you’re flying to. You can have flights with high allowances and earn an extra 1k or more, but some destinations don’t offer anything impressive. Your allowances depend on how expensive the destination is and the hotel you’re staying in))

    Don’t forget it’s come a long way and is still evolving. It is certainly not a low-cost airline these days. Check their website, no mention of it. It is low-fare. Plus a big fleet already and another 160 aircraft on order, including widebody 787. So if you want that lifestyle too…mixed in with shorter flights. Remember it is government owned so job security is a big plus. Management and colleagues are really friendly and open. No stress and no drama and a great attitude. You work hard but can also play hard. It’s a really nice place to work.

    Eastern province of saudi is rigid not Riyadh jeddah and mecca it has become modern like dubai no need to cover your head if you are non muslim but you have to cover your body in eastern province that is Dammam

    • @JetstreamGinger
      @JetstreamGinger 2 дня назад

      @@geethagangadhar8733 I’ve already responded to a similar message, but I’ll repeat myself. Yes, Saudi Arabia is becoming more open and is developing its tourism. For example, women are now allowed to drive and try on clothes in fitting rooms at shopping malls, things that were previously prohibited. But it’s not like Dubai. Saudi Arabia still has very strict laws and regulations, especially for people from Western countries with Western values. There is a complete ban on alcohol and pork, clothing must be appropriate (covering shoulders and knees, nothing tight or revealing like crop tops), and swimsuits are only allowed on private beaches and in hotel pools etc. Yes, the country is becoming more open and offers many advantages and opportunities that other countries don’t. But if someone is considering moving there, they need to weigh all the pros and cons and see what matters more to them. For example, Dubai is very Westernized, and I didn’t feel much of a lifestyle change while living there. If I were to move to Saudi Arabia, I would feel the difference because it would be very different from what I’m used to. No one is saying it’s good or bad, it’s subjective, and everyone should decide for themselves. That’s what I said in my video, and I believe it’s fair. If you’ve decided to move, then respect the customs, principles and rules of the country.

  • @anetazastawny
    @anetazastawny 4 дня назад

    The Challenges you mentioned are actually the biggest highlights of that airline to me :). I'm a former EK flight attendant and I learnt my lesson. The prestige of big airlines makes a difference for passengers mostly, not necessarily for the crew. There's a rule of thumb: the faster race for awards - the more toxic it becomes for staff. Housing: not living in a crew accommodation and living by your own rules is absolutely fantastic. Even if it's expensive to rent something in Dubai you get your freedom. And freedom has no price. Last but not least, 1-2 layovers a month is a perfect pace. You can have a normal social life in Dubai and just enjoy a few days a month outstation. Instead of rushing and waking up on 3 different continents every week. It's all about personal preferences at the end of the day. For some those can be downsides, but to me it sounds absolutely fantastic :)

    • @JetstreamGinger
      @JetstreamGinger 4 дня назад

      I totally agree! After 5 years with Emirates, I was done😁 Now, I personally find FlyDubai to be the perfect airline, except for the salary. You can make the same 13K with Emirates in economy, but accommodation is included (and if you get married or buy an apartment, you get a live-out allowance). I was living out, so I loved my salary with the allowance 😅 Other than that, flydubai is perfect: no stress, a flexible schedule and a great work-life balance. Even having a few layovers sounds nice, but the 21-year-old version of me preferred my “never in Dubai” Emirates schedule 🤣 That’s why I said in the video that those “cons” really depend on the person and what they’re looking for! 😊

    I got hired by Qatar, super easy but left after 5 months as living in a Moose limb country wasn’t fit for me and not worth the money. I ditched Qatar for the usa and moved into tech and never looked back. Will never visit that region again apart from possibly Lebanon, Jordan, and Israel (all colonised by moose limbs)

      @ I don’t have scars but they do check your face and visible skin from memory. I’m a man so I made sure to be clean shaven

    I guess it's all common sense - maintain the public image of the airline, treat the customers like gold and protect their privacy, and follow the rules. It's not difficult. If only cabin crews in the United States were held to such high standards. So many of them dress like slobs, wear outrageous jewellery, have tacky plastic hair ornaments, garish earrings, and wear running shoes. Plus the service is laughably bad. Many do absolutely the bare minimum. The level of unprofessionalism is just too much.

      Don’t get me wrong, no one is saying it’s hard to be friendly with passengers and maintain the company’s image. The issue here is the immense pressure the company puts on the crew. Many people work under constant stress and fear of losing their job because the contract is renewed every three years, and warnings or sick leave can affect whether it gets renewed. Getting a warning is extremely easy, you can receive one for the smallest mistake. The sick leave policy was something I strongly disliked because the job itself is physically exhausting (night flights, jet lag, radiation), and you constantly work with a large number of people (viruses, bacteria). Naturally, your immune system weakens, and you might get sick. At the same time, flying while sick is not an option. First, there’s a serious risk of barotrauma, even if you just have a blocked nose. Second, you could infect others. But the company doesn’t allow crew to “be sick” more than three times a year, otherwise, you’ll face problems. And by “being sick,” I don’t mean taking weeks off, I mean literally calling in sick for a single flight. No one argues that Emirates is one of the best airlines in the world. But working for Emirates comes with its own downsides, and it’s important to be aware of them so there are no surprises later. That’s exactly what I’m trying to do. By Emirates’ standards, I was a “problem-free” crew member. In five years, I never received a single warning, and I only reported sick about four times. But even with a this record, I lived in a constant state of anxiety, which took a heavy mental toll. That’s why I decided to leave.

    I glad i came across your video, Amanda video randomly showed up on my fyp and watched it. I love travelling but have zero clue about aviation policy and social media rules but was quite surprised that as a flight attendant, she’s able to film all those restricted areas and post it online😅 then your video showed up confirming my doubts 😂, thank you 🙏

      Thank you ☺️ Honestly, I really hope this video reaches the girls and guys who saw her video and are now inspired to join Emirates and do the same. (I’ve already seen some TikToks of other people starting to film and post things they’re not supposed to) I’m afraid THAT video has a really bad influence. So I hope they watch this video and learn about all the restrictions. I don’t want more people to get in trouble because of other people’s selfishness and irresponsibility.

    is it true that emirates only send invites to female candiates from India in their assessment day. Or they are also hiring for male one. Coz there are lots of guys who applied most of the times with different i'd but didn't get the invite and when the email emirates about the status so it declared as not selected. please advice use.

      I don’t know who they’re hiring in India right now 🤷‍♀️ I flew with many male Indian colleagues, but I’m not sure if they’re currently hiring new male crew.

    Do pilots also have such a hectic schedule or do they get a comfortable one?

      Well, someone has to fly the aircraft, so we wake up for the same flight 😁 But they generally fly a bit less than cabin crew overall. Anyway they still have night flights and experience jet lag 😊
