We did some cross-country training and maneuvers training today in Jimmy’s Schweizer 300. Flew over the freedom factory to wave at Cletus McFarland and did a little pattern work at Cletus‘s new Airpark in Myakka, Florida. We noticed that the front struts were starting the squat a little bit more than normal. Jimmy and I disassembled the struts and service them per the maintenance manual. Jimmy ...

Helped Jimmy with some aircraft maintenance on the Schweitzer 300. We installed new front skid shoes. Replace the oil and oil filter and greased the main rotor hub. What model helicopter?
@@SulaimanTheAviator it’s a Schweizer 300CB
Impressive....piece of cake....with no wind a whole different story!
That’s cool ❤
Is 95 cruise speed with a Rotorway unrealistic?
@@mranderson191 you can I’ve cruise comfortably at 100 mph. Just need to have the rotor system balanced well to keep vibration down
Awesome! Is that the ship from Petaluma, CA?
@@slavik2000 yes it is
Joseph, do you offer rotorway training? I am a CSEL airplane looking to transition to rotor, want to purchase a 162f to train in. I am in florida.
Yes I provide training and maintenance support in Rotorway helicopters. Email me at priologpriolo@gmail.com or text 239-560-4359
Please get rid of the music. Very annoying. Otherwise excellent video
Was Orv your instructor?
@@barrywinslow9798 no I did transition training with Mark Peterson. I was a Army helicopter pilot for the past 20 years. And got into Rotorway for the last 6 years
@@josephpriolo1514 Awesome. It's a super helicopter. I know what little I got to fly (as an A&P for Airevac EMS, West Plains MO) I knew the Rotorway was the only way I could possibly afford it. Thanks for the come back Sir.
Jimmy is undertaking my dream of owning and flying a helicopter. I don’t have any delusions about that happening in my lifetime, but one never knows! I did take one introductory helicopter flight back in the early eighties, and loved every minute of it. Looking forward to seeing Jimmy pass his check ride.
Jimmy passed his check ride Nov 12th we were so busy that we didn’t take any video just a couple of picture
@@josephpriolo1514He definitely had an easier time hovering than I did. I was all over the place. Straight and level was no problem. I got my fixed wing license in 1980. I wish I could’ve kept going and got my helicopter license but I couldn’t handle the expense. No regrets though. Getting that fixed wing ticket was a childhood dream come true.
I've spent a bunch of time in rotorcraft - mostly the MD500 D and E models. It's a world of difference flying the reciprocating engine vs the turbine. Sure is fun to watch Jimmy learning the ropes. Maybe one day he'll be flying a turbine.
hope they gave Clet some Tri flow spray for his droop stops as they will be creaking by now after an overall. We used to mark the control marks on the cyclic so new people could see where center is, so when they are running on the ground, they will know where center is so they dont beat the head up.
C A M A R O FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
what is that 6 belt spool off axis from the engine?
You captured a great moment with the Hawker airplane I fly on display! Perfect airport real life on this video. Respect and credit for footage.
Cleetus also is certified to fly a black hawk.😂
Where do you do training at iam starting to look for a cfi to help me get my ppl an plan to buy a rotor way to do my training in any info would be greatly appreciated iam located in NW Alabama
@@BryanHacker-bt7ml I’m located in Titusville, FL. But I do travel for training and maintenance. You can reach out at Priologpriolo@gmail.com for further details
Rotorheads !
Not Freedom Chopper. That's Consuela! Such a beautiful bird
You cut out the first lift off! 😕
cleatus? holy typo
I see Venezuela parked next to you !
Great job, would be good to hear those rotors
doing everything i plan on doing in msfs2024 when it releases next month... my virpil collective with throttle and hawk 60 grip will be here by then...cant wait lol
Spoiler alert. Cleetus hasn’t unveiled the color to his audience yet
The colour of what?

That Start up audio was awful
shitty audio
Bro...spell his name right for crud sakes! And get a mic and get rid of the potatoe!
Seems like you're too close to the people, vehicles and buildings. Is the 500' minimum different for helicopters v gyroplanes/fixed wing? If not, the FAA may see this and pay you a visit...that would suck.
@@larrymangold1048 No minimum altitude for Helicopters. Helicopters can fly below the minimum altitude requirements if they are not a danger to people or property on the ground. This includes during takeoff and landing.
@@josephpriolo1514 thanks. I fly a gyro and fixed wing. Finding the minimums for rotor craft can be confusing sometimes.
Go educated yourself before opening your mouth.
@@edmoore3910 you incorrectly assume your opinion matters! lol
seeing lots of chatter on the new rule for maintenance operations on the forums.. Got the monthly swap meet in Brooksville this weekend I see also. snagged some special sockets to do Bell mediums there and a couple pair of Duck bill pliers even at previous ones
Love the vids!!!!!
I love the serenity of autorotations.
Voice over would be good.
Leaving the voice over out is the best thing about this post. Thanks Jimmy 👍🏻
Keep doing what you do.
This situation is where choppers rally come in to their own :-)
The gators are extra incentive not to stack it in the swamp.
Love the altimeter setting
Thats unfortunate
Jimmy could apply for a job as a helicopter pilot for cattle mustering in Australia.
If Jimmy's watching this, fixed wing or rotary for fun?
love all the video's ! USMC MOS (6122)
If you guys are in the area again you should stop by the Valliant Air Command. We're just on the other side of the airfield, would be my pleasure to give you guys a tour. We also have a helicopter being flown in somewhere in October which will be de-milled on site and put on display.
I think Jimmy is training to be an astronaut 😂
Was hoping for some Clarence Clearwater Revival on that river run....LOL

Not a fan of the valkyries.
Why were you removing the engine
You're going to have to fly down to KCHN during the first week of April for Bensen days. A lot of rotor heads, mostly gyros, will be there. I may even fly up to KPCM for a visit during that week.
we used he work RMBAM Rotor motor ball airspeed Mayday, then at 100 ft ARAB area made rotor green airspeed ball(skids straight).
G,day from Sydney Australia. Great short video of auto rotation landing. The pilot obviously doesn't have much time to have the helo on skids or wheels. No glide at all? 🌏🇦🇺
