Best UV Lights for Yooperlites - PART TWO
This is my review of four of the flashlights from the ALONEFIRE brand - I found that they are great quality for a great price! Even after all of my reviews and purchases (including the Convoy C8) my pick still remains as the Alonefire 12W UV 365nm light: www.amazon.com/Alonefire-Flashlight-Rechargeable-Ultraviolet-Blacklight/dp/B08LBDX3HG
I started hunting Yooperlites last winter and it just catches on to you! They are fun and exciting to find, but it helps when you have the right UV light - and what you need is a black light filtered 365nm spectrum UV light. This is just to help point you in the right direction if you are new to finding Yooperlites and want a good head start.

What happens when you take the liquid from 500 large glow sticks and combine them all into two large containers on a dive? This is a Galaxy Dive that took place on May 16th, 2020. The natural force of the flow from the springs scatters the luminous particles throughout the cavern making it feel like you are floating through a galaxy of stars. The luminescent chemicals inside of these glow stick...
Kayaking at Juniper Springs, Florida

Kayaking at Juniper Springs, in the Ocala National Forest. This is quite possibly the best kayak trail in all of Florida. It has a bit of everything to see and enjoy from springs to wildlife. And yes, there is a small section of rapids that exist there. They are at the 5 mile mark on the river.

Defogging a Dive Mask

Whether you have a cheap mask, or you've spent over $100 on one, you will need to defog it so it doesn't continuously fog up on you. I am defogging a SeaDive EagleEye SLX TrueColor Mask.

I don't know enough English ornamental and precious stones; It will be used to see the fluorescence effect; The best. UVL Light source. ; There will be a flashlight of light. Should the color be Black and what should be the wavelength of the light? short-wave long wave sample Picture or video. can be brand thanks
YEEEEEAAAAASSSSS THANK YOOOOUUUU!!!!! I need a cheap light, i just bought my fiancee 20 of these. Thank you soooo much!!!
Thank you… I was about to spend $100 to take my two daughters hunting… based only on explanations. The demo helped a lot and everyone can have their own light for less than the one! Much appreciated
Jesus Christ almighty could you possibly waste more time getting to a few minor points that I showed my son and his friends when they were in 3rd grade?
Well, thanks for the view, but your comment just tells me you didn't read the video description. I literally cut right to the chase in the first two lines of the video description and say "This is my review of four of the flashlights from the ALONEFIRE brand - I found that they are great quality for a great price! Even after all of my reviews and purchases (including the Convoy C8) my pick still remains as the Alonefire 12W UV 365nm light"
Thank you for your video! I’m starting with hunting rocks so im going to order the alone fire ❤
I would wrap the button in 3m stretch foam tape (bandage) or black cloth tape.
I was out last night for 8 hrs in the snow. But I found my first yooperlights. 8 of them in fact.
Which beaches did you visit?
I just purchased the Alonefire SV18 and I was pleasantly surprised; it seems the newer models have replaced the button so it has the smaller LED green light like the SV53
A good review if you are searching for rocks in your apartment. How do they work in the field? I'm not a supporter of UVBeast but other reviews talk about how much throw it has which can be important if you are out walking in a field or on a beach full of rocks. My understanding is that it can catch colours at a distance to make you pay attention to certain rocks. Or for those who want it for insects (or worse scorpions) then you can see the critters at a further distance.
You better stay away from those "Bud Light fans"! Hopefully, it was a "shemale".
Great video! You sold me on the Alonefire. I'm trying out the SV47 because it can use an alternate power source and has a tripod mount. It appears it may use a different LED element, so we'll see. And after a year report says you like the "Whale" the "D22", what is that? I'm thinking you meant the SV18 and glad to see your beer choice s not that other one.
What's up with the "all of these are under 24.99 lbs so I'm comfortable showing you" statement? Genuinely curious if it's something I should know being new to the hobby
no idea whats up with the dislikes, but great video
Thank you so much for the information.
I own two Alonefire flashlights, and they are pretty good!
One of the best reviews I've seen. Great job.
I bet your shirts glow under ANY light! :)
I have the alonefire h46uv it's excellent cost $85 very happy with it
👍👍👍👍👍🙂
Like because anti Bud Light.
Thank you very much! Two questions. First why under 25 pounds? Is there a regulation i don't know about? Second: what lights do you use to display the fluorescence at home?
If you vaped you know better on batteries your so off
Do you even vape, bro? At the end of the day don't get your feelers hurt and instead just buy whatever you want, bromigo. I have over 1000 hours of hiking and walking around with these lights to prove my dedication to the hobby.
Lmfao so off 2 batteries means more power and longer life and you won't to remove your battery and replace it or upgrade jack ass
No uv beast is more quality and more direct and briter
Strong Disagree. I have empirical evidence to prove it.
Nope UV beast is definitely brighter overall in the overall spectrum throughout the whole screen.
Strong Disagree. I have empirical evidence to prove it.
Ya well you can go cheep or get a uv beast and have a life long true 365 and see Invisible, ink and paint or go cheap and it won't really work. And break in a cuppel years. You should also go to a vape shop and get a quality 1860 battery from home. Life or Sony just saying
Well, given the fact that I purchased, used and reviewed about 10 different lights over the course of about 2 years, I would say that I have a valid leg to stand on for my reviews. And, by all means, make your own video reviews and publish them to RUclips, or simply disregard what I say. At the end of the day don't get your feelers hurt and instead just buy whatever you want, bromigo.
Great video. I plan to purchase the alonefire flashlights you talked about for myself but I was wondering if you have any advice for trying the alonefire mini for a couple of kiddos? It is the sv62 model. I don't mind if it's not the best but I'd like them to be able to find one if they did put in the effort. Thanks for any advice!
I never tried that one - but the company makes good lights that I am overall pleased with - I dont think you can go wrong for the price point of some of these.
Does this disinfected? Or any recommendations for a UV that can disinfect? Thank you
I mean, UV does disinfect, but I would not purchase this light for that purpose - these are purely for other purposes.
If you put the flashlight behind the rock and shine one side can you see the opposite side light up??
No, it isnt translucent.
On the official Alonefire website they only lost the SV18 and the H42. I'm not sure why the other models are not listed at all.
You can get more off Amazon than their website though.
So from my understanding, the UVbeast is advertising better reach over the others. A distance test would have brought your video to a better conclusion in my opinion. How do all the lights you have in this video hold up to 60ft, as the UVBeast claims reach? May be why the UVBeast is priced at $79.. Just sayin.
I do not search 60ft ahead - nor do I know anyone who looks that far ahead. Most of our finds are within 5-10 feet and the wider throw of the flood light is a better application for this range than the narrow spot. Just my opinion - but I do realllllllllly well when my buddies and I are out on the beaches. Either way - I couldn't film 60 feet in my apartment regardless.
We started finding sodalite in 2005 in the Keweenaw, long before the "fad" started. We would find hundreds of them each night. Of all the different UV lights we used over the years, the S3 Lumenshooters we bought for $30 each are the favorite one to use.
I honestly didn't know dudes this hot who were also into fluorescent minerals existed. Like, at all. AND there's even a hint he might actually be based - 30:00. Wild. 😏
😉
Great video! Thanks! Very well explained. I have a question though, what's the difference between the Alonefire SV18 12w and the Alonefire SV47 12w? They seem pretty similar. Which one is best?
They are pretty similar - I think it came down to a leash vs no leash and a slightly different body.
Hi man! Thanks for these videos. I have just one question: does "the whale" (H42uv) also have the annoying green light?
I dont believe it does!
It should be pointed out that you are not allowed to collect any rocks from any National Park like Pictured Rocks. You are also not allowed to collect rocks on the south east shore of Whitefish Point which is federal land owned by the Fish and Wildlife Dept. Rock collecting is fun, but everyone needs to know there are rules (My wife and I did not know that there were rules about where you can collect rocks from and how many pounds of rocks you are allowed to collect when we started rock collecting until we were kindly informed by a DNR officer).
Sure - but thats not what my video was about. Pretty much anyone going searching for them will (or at least should) do a little research first. I know I did - I read as much as I could about yooperlites before I went out searching and dropped money on a light.
You may be surprised to know more intense to show up under 254nm UV short wave.
You are right, but buying something in a lower frequency band is not an easy task. Thats why most of the lights are 395nm - although 365nm is much better than that at least.
Searching Alonefire SV18 now and see this company put out a lot of SV** lights. Great video but I'll stick with a UV flashlight that I can find. SV18 can't be found anymore.
Here's what you failed to say. UVBeast is an aluminum body and a metal UV cavity lamps internal polished cup. It's the quality. I'd like you to put the two Beast and the $30 one you liked throw them in a bag and tote them to the outside caverns rock hunting. In a couple years that $80 UVBeast will hold up and your $30 will show its shortcomings. Impressive talk on the surface
I dont know if we are disagreeing - but the Alone fire is all aluminum also, and the internals are stout. I have logged hundreds of hours of searching, dropping, water droplets, raining, cold, rolling around in my car, etc with these things - they are Beasts by them selves... I am going on 3 years with my original one.... and it was less than half the price.
@TheNawrockSTAR we agree to favor different UV sources. Only friendly argument I have is price.. I'm sure we both know the country that manufacturers probably both, so why the grand difference at the wallet level. IDK
I'm ordering Alonefire based on your video thanks! My first UV light!
Glad I could help!
The absolute best video on RUclips 😅
Put use a blue sharpie on the green light
I guess duct tape would work too. Good thinking.
Thanks for the video. Much appreciated
I own the Alonefire SV43 and i I've just discovered that if you hold down the power button after turning it on, the lamp starts dimming down very gradually. Then you can release the button at the desired intensity. Thanks!😀
Thanks for the tip!
The SV47 Will do the same thing.
Just ordered the 12w style, but in the 15w version (if that makes sense).
John 3:16 - "For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life".
Soon, there is going to be the rapture. It's when there will be trumpet sounds, and after the trumpet sounds, God will lift his people from here. Also, God said people should be living by the Bible. Amen, and God bless you.
thank you so much for this video
just ordered one today. thanks.
After your first video I went out and purchased the SV18 by your recommendation (God forbid if I was going to spend $60-$100 for a flashlight). Thank you for letting me know your new video came out, I was just hoping your first pick was still the best pick after testing these!! Now I cannot wait to get up to the UP at the end of August!! Thank you for review on these UV lights!!
Awesome - glad to have helped! How did you do? Any luck?
