Hello Harriet & Sarah! I’ve really enjoyed your videos and admire your move to France! I just spent two months volunteering all over the French countryside and have fallen in love. I want to move to France from the US and start a stone pointing business. I have funds to start the business and had talked to clients mainly around the Dordogne region and have work available for me. What would be my first step to acquiring the right visa and moving over as quick as possible? Thanks!

Just subscribed to your channel, I got my Long stay visa in October 2023, When at the TLS contact center for your appointment you have to ask for the extension form at the time and that entitles you for the one year Long stay visitor visa, Or they just give you the 6th months temporary visa. I had a medical for my visitor visa in France, You had to prove your funds I am under retirement age by a few decades so self funding, being younger i have to prove my income as part of the application. I have a house in France so lucky then most people. If your of retirement age you apply on the S1 form, The long stay visa can be renewed also in France for 5 years in a row, Then the carte de Sejour. So Iam in the process, So been here for almost my 1st year. Girls, I am an American and have been here for the last two months. I am in love with the idea of the two hour lunches and the three hour dinners, but its hard to deal with when you weren't brought up this way. They dont know any different. I have to plan out my entire day around food. And lets not forgot their holidays.

Et je dois payer pour la fibre sans restriction, les 200 chaîne de télévision plus le numéro de téléphone fixe a peine 29,99 euro par mois

It's so nice to see a couple working hard together for a better life. I would have loved to do what you to are doing, but I had an ex and he thought if something needed to be done, then you pick up the phone and get someone to do it. It's one of the reasons he's an ex.

Sarah, can you keep renewing your Visa? Do you eventually become a French citizen? We have a vacation home here and never stayed more than 6 weeks at a time. I would like to retire here. I'm from the states. 😊
