HI LOVE THE WORK AND IS IT POSSIBLE TO PLACE A ORDER WITH YOU ? DO YOU USE POLYESTER PLASTIC TO PRINTE W A UV PRINTER
Been watching most of your videos and great job. What is brand of packing tape and the machine your using, I really like the setup.
I do not miss my flatbed. 😂 I also love my summa.
Haha. Glad you found me here!
When i saw the summa barcode printing along the 8 foot edge i was wondering how that was going to work lol, do you not use the barcode workflow with your summa?
I actually don’t most of the time. I really only use it with paneled wall murals on a roll. Do you know how I can change it to be on the 4’ side?
@stevethegraphicsguy no sorry I don't, I don't have a flatbed printer so it's never come up.
nice! is there a reason you prefer flatbed over regular printer?
Just to print direct to substrate and eliminate vinyl when I can!
Looks really solid,, congrats! Since it came from overseas, did you set it up yourself?
I didn’t buy it direct from overseas. I bought it from a vendor locally so they delivered and set it up for me!
Welcome back! I always learn so much from your content.
Appreciate you watching and I am glad you find the content helpful!
Glad to see a new upload. I figured you were probably busy. Congrats on the new purchase, it'll open up a lot more opportunities for you moving forward. Can't wait to see more of what it can do.
Appreciate that, I'm excited to start using it more and sharing what it can do with everyone!
Congrats on the addition! Get yourself some swabs for the head too, soak it with solvent cleaner and you can get a little more scrubbing action on the heads. My old Roland was annoying and the nozzles got dirty super fast
Whoo hooo! He's back! :D
glad to see you back. Enjoy the videos
Appreciate it! Glad you are enjoying them!
Glad you're back man! I learn more from your channel than most others on large format printing, keep em coming!
Appreciate that, I'm working on getting some more done! Anything in particular you want to see?
Love to see you back on RUclips! Interesting that you shut your machine off daily, does your machine have any circulation pumps? If so you might be wise to leave it running to keep the ink flowing through the ink.
Thanks Matt! I don’t believe that it does. I could leave it on, but still need to shut the valves in case the power did go out. We haven’t really had power issues in the past but I don’t want to deal with the aftermath if it does lose the pressure. I think something happens where the ink back flows into the pressure tubes and creates a mess!
@@stevethegraphicsguy very interesting! Our vanguard which ironically has identically control software mists ink every 10-15 seconds. So it is constantly wasting ink but it keeps the lines pressured.
Hey man!! I'm super stoked you're back. Congrats on the new equipment and being busy, and yes finding good help is hard. Glad you're back good sir.
Thanks! I'm happy to be back!! Appreciate you watching.
Might get a Sino colour flatbed in the future.
Yeah, can’t afford those flatbed in Australia 🇦🇺 either.
It would be so cool if you but up subtitles. that summa is nice to look at but is it worth the investment for a new shop?
Hey Steve, I was wondering how do you avoid media slipping and ink smearing.?
Hey Jose, I've never really had that problem so i'm not sure I can answer that question.
@@stevethegraphicsguy Hey Steve, if I may ask. What are your pinch roller settings for printing and cutting.? How many rollers do you have down and at what pressure.?
Roll printers are fairly cheap in the used market. And you can use plotter to cut out the shapes. Might open up a new market.
Thanks! its not something I really want to pursue at this time as I just do these for one customer.
Steve are you still making content? I love your videos!
Yes, Sorry it has been forever. New video just uploaded!
What machine did you use to cut the pvc?
This was cut on a Summa F1612 with the router
Love It
I live in an old house with single pane old school windows. Not ready to replace them, yet, but I am anxious to explore the application of optically clear window film directly to both sides of the panes (like car window tinting only clear). Winter's coming and I need whatever insulation properties may be afforded. There are countless people like me with similar windows and a DIY video with product suggestions just might get some attention. There are plenty of videos about applying clear plastic material around the window frames, not pressesd onto the actual glass. I want to apply the film to the glass, itself, semi-permanently, both sides. I might do the more peripheral window application, in addition, but after. Why there is this blind spot in DIY window upgrade is beyond me.
Steve, really whoever watch ur video learn a lot in printing and stickers industry, can’t imagine the experience we getting from just watching ur video , so i hope u will have a time to get us more and more video and helping other people who trying to know more about this industry. My only question is . Would you please let us know what king of material u are using to print this vinyl, and what machine can do it . That will be really helpful . Bless u
Hi! Thank you so much. I just uploaded a new one so I hope you get a chance to watch it! This material was from Lintec and it is a clear polyester film. Any printer with white ink can achieve this result!
I spent my full night watching all ur video , very helpful channel. Thx Steve
Awesome, thank you!
Whats the material used for make the 3d, PVC, Foam?
This was made from 1/2” PVC
Hey man where have you been lol.. I miss your videos sir
MIA lately! New video just uploaded
Yeah I definitely have to manage my schedule better. I'm a one-man-band at a printshop we started just 2 years ago. We let 2 guys go recently. I really seeing that wraps are a better option for me right now. The pidly jobs not pulling the bread$. It gives me hope seeing you do all this yourself. I'm kinda freaking out running a shop by myself. 🤪
It's tough but you got this!! hiring people that want to work has been the hardest part for me
Great setup and very organised. When it comes to laminating we used to do the same thing for a couple of years and put a box at the base to run the media through the laminator. We ended up and put two brackets off the laminator, just off the shelf ones and a metal pole cut to the same width. Then slide the pole through the roll and the media would roll smoothly off the pole and through the.laminator. Worked really well we would run a 30m roll through at a time and trim off as needed after it slid in the table. 😊
Do you have a web site?
I do but it is for my day to day business - precisiongraphix.net
Hi Steve! Thank you for your content!! Can I ask you something, What printer did you have when you first started your business?
Believe it or not I’ve had the HP Latex 360 since the start 9 years ago! Probably due for an upgrade soon!
Great videos! Rather than using a summa or cutting the rolls by hand can they be through-cut/ perf-cut on the graphtec plotter? Similarly to how pop out decals are made?
Yes, absolutely! I haven’t used my graphtec much since the summa came. For me the summa is so much more accurate so it gets the most attention
Where do get your printed package tape?
What brand and model is that laminator?
GBC Spire 2
Will you please come get our shop in order??
That would be a fun. If I am ever in the area I’ll stop by for sure! My best advice is making small improvements everyday and they will lead to big ones down the road.
Looks great!
Thanks Matt!
are you making your own pattern for reinstall?
Yes ! 👏
Where are you located?
West of Philadelphia!
You are getting a flatbed printer. Hope it is a v7000
We shall see!
Love the organization! My guess was going to be a Flatbed Printer!
Thanks Matt! I have been wanting one for a while 👀
Nice organization! On your rack, look into putting some chair leg rubber feet over the ends of the conduit. It creates a stop if the roll is pull off a bit askew, and also covers the burr of the metal. Its saved my hands on a few occasions
Great idea! I’ll definitely do that
hes baaaaaack!!
I know, I know! More to come soon!!!
Hey Steve, the heat gun stops when you are sealing since the heat gun is a passthrough plug on the sealer itself. It's a circuit overload thing. Love watching your process - incredible work and work ethic.
Ahh yeah, that makes sense. Thanks!
The card idea for ordering media is a really smart idea. Shop is looking super organized, Steve!
Thanks Mike!
Applicator Table is my guess! Also quick question, where did you get your vinyl racks?
It will certainly be as big as an application table. Hmm 👀
are you getting a numma vacuum bed?
Not sure what that is! But no 🤣
Flatbed Printer?
That would be awesome!
Where you been man, waiting for the next video!!
Just dropped one!
more videos bro! you're leaving us hangin!
Just dropped one! More to come, things have been super busy
Why would you opt for the pasted wall paper over a self adhesive material? The double cut seamless makes sense, but is that the only reason? curious!
Yeah I mainly use it for the seamless installation and the different material textures.
