      @@ccyl54 😳 As an EE graduate, you need to sit down and have a good hard look at your chosen career. You don’t think putting a diy wiring bodge on the internet of a wiring system going through a switch not capable of taking the full load current even if its only briefly a problem? It’s a fire waiting to happen.

    Grow all the same plants and agree all are tough and tolerate low to extremely low light. I'd add various philodendron to the list. Small tip to all. Full hydro greatly beneficial in areas with extreme low light. Can't overwater what lives in water.

    • @olivebranch9742
      @olivebranch9742 2 года назад

      Hi! that's cool! I've been experimenting with semi-hydroponics and so far I'm enjoying it a lot, though it's quite pricey to set up and I can't afford to put everything in semi hydro yet. I didn't know hydroponics do better than soil in low light. Thanks for sharing it :)

    Hi, just out of curiosity, may I know whether the magnetic switch still works on your accordion door closet until now? I found out that the magnetic switch is rated at 0.5A. While those LEDs in the closet run current at 3A, right? I'm planning to install LEDs in my closet exactly the same way of yours.

    • @olivebranch9742
      @olivebranch9742 2 года назад

      Hi Adam! Cool, thank you for sharing that info. To answer your question, both closet lights are considerably dimmer now to a point it's almost useless. I remember scouring the web for commercial grade mag switches with higher ratings without success. Choosing ones without ratings wasn't smart on my part. You could put multiple mag switches in parallel, though it wouldn't look as pretty. Good luck!

    Thankfully, none of my cats eat my plants. Three of them pretty much ignore them. The fourth one likes to sniff and inspect everything new…including new plants. I do grow cat grass for them year round so perhaps that helps. My niece, unfortunately has a cat that will chow down on almost any plant that he can reach in their house. She has tried all the usual suggestions without luck. All of her plants have to be hanging from the wall or ceiling.

    • @olivebranch9742
      @olivebranch9742 2 года назад

      Hi Molly! I envy you for having cats that can coexist with your plants. My cats are like your niece's; I can leave air fresheners around my plants but I get headaches myself XD. I leave new plants for them to mess with for a couple of days, though it's really hard to bear seeing the damage they do. Sometimes after the initial taste-test, they leave the plants be! It's strange because some lipstick plants they love to chew and some they ignore. Cats are so strange ;D
