Baba reminds me SO much of my late mama who made the best krofne! Now that I'm a baba, will make these with my granddaughters. My husband has been after to make them but we love them so much, we can't stop eating them.

Wish my grandma's were still here ❤ I've watched a lot of recipe videos on this dish and there's a lot of different versions out there. Unfortunately the ones people are raving the most about, they never seem to share in it's entirety 🫣 especially the ones using sauerkraut instead of fresh cabbage, but from descriptions they made about them, this particular recipe looks to be very much the same! ❤❤ thank you so much for sharing 🤩

Your Baba reminds me very much of my Baba Bina (Ljubinka). She moved back to Serbia after my grandfather passed away and I miss her dearly. We speak occasionally but it's hard not being able to see her and give her a hug. Hug your Baba every chance you get!

As an Australian, I never knew Burek existed, then one Sunday shift for work my boss brought Burek in and I asked him what it was, the next Sunday shift I had a whole tray for breakfast lol....... I never knew how simple and easy it was to make, definitely going to make some one day. I really appreciate you making this with your baba. My grandmother is German and made lots of German food for Christmas when I was a child, unfortunately she has early dementia so a bit hard to cook with her and learn recipes but nonetheless, I still try to make those efforts. The dining room where I eat, serves Churros, but every time I try to eat them, I feel like I could pull out a loose tooth - they are so tough! What could I do to soften them? I thought of wrapping some of the fried Churro’s (without the cinnamon coating) in a dampened paper towel and then heat them in a microwave for 10 - 20 seconds. I’m tired of waisting food - please help/advice. Thank you for your time Lanette
What type of flour do you use?
All PORK is the Serbian Sarma rule, absolutely not half half, pork is the more tender
