Thanks Useful tutorial video
Glad to hear it😀
Thanks useful test.
🙌
Yes! 🎉
I love the explanation!
So glad to hear that🙌
Intro talk is super rhythmic af on the beat man. Very well done. :D BTW video also is great. 🤘🏻
Wow, so nice to hear💯🙌😀
Automating the width on the masterbus. 80-90% width on the verse, and 100% on the chorus. 🎉
Awesome💯🔥

how does it compare to acustica audio ASH?
Hey thanks for asking. Unfortunately, I haven’t tried that one. By the looks of it, Ash got more options in terms of different processor types, whilst the gold clip has the filters and the compressor. Bit that’s just in terms of features. One would grab a trial of both plugins and do a comparison.
thank you for the reply, from watching your video goldclip indeed sounds amazing! I'll definitely trial them both, keep up the great content

Thank you for this info. I had not thought of this.
🙌🙏💯😀
Awsome
Thx for the support🙏
A whole mix with a full track in logic with stock plugs would be amazing in a pop / rock or edm style , great templates btw and free wow 🤩 thanks 🙏 not once yet have u tried to sell me anything like all the others 👍🏻🙏
So good to hear! Guess I’ll have to incorporate some sleazy sales tactics soon haha😆😍🙌
Awesome
Hello! Thanks for the video! I must say that in Studio One it you can`t change all those buttons to You`re liking before the DAW (It`s such a shame!!! Like in KORG EDITOR or something similar), but in Studio One You can use BOTH fader and a knob to control plugins and every automation, but You should find what this CC information number and add it to the track view. From the track view You can assign fader on any midi parameter and it will be controlling this parameter any time when plugin is opened (not when the track selected). I`ve bought it a 3 or 4 weeks ago in this thing is cool! Like, really handy, but it doesn`t have midi options in itself it`s a bad thing. This is NOT A MIDI CONTROLLER this is just a DAW controller, as I see it in Studio One. Beforethat I`ve had Panorama P1 and You could change any fader to particular Midi inforamtion or keys on the piano. Studio One I can`t rewrite what particual button to do anything beside what was already preprogrammed. Still this very fun tool to use and motorized fader make things alot more engaging than on more technology advanced P1 Nektar.
Hey, thanks for sharing! I don’t know that much about Studio One, but its a bit weird that it doesn’t allow for more flexibility given its the same company… I had the P4 back in the days. A neat piece of gear, but too big for my setup. Anyways, this sounds like some of the restrictions I’ve run into myself. Some functions work as a charm, while others lag and cause problems. I’ve tried customizing the Maschine MK3 in Logic and it’s a nightmare, so I stick with the bundled software. Cheers🙌
@@subphotic It`s strange, because they`ve made Firmware update not so long ago on faderport 8 and 16 that gives You full midi mode on it, but not on v2... Good luck to You too)
More stock Logic mixing tips plz 😊
Will do🫡💯😎
10/10
💯🙌
Great vlog dude
Thanks🙌
Giving up half way through 😢
I feel you. And the next time just push even a bit more through🤜
Bloody great dude thanks
So good to hear🙏
Yes I am, and yes I do!
Kick hitying -3 on the Vu meter is the correct mixing level. Kick amd bass totgheter hit 0. This is the biggest music hack
Yes!! A great starting point✅
1st mistake: mixing in fl
Never tried FL, but I’ve been on Reason for many years, and never grasped the mixing process there. But I know people who gets great results both on Reason and FL. For me it’s Logic all day long. Which daw do u prefer?
Thanks for an informative and helpful video. Didn’t know about the fingers on the speaker trick - how’s it done?
It’s a «hack» I picked up years ago from UBK, really neat: You put your finger at the edge of the cone of your speaker (the bass driver) and feel how the bass vibrates. Clear, distinguishable movements indicate clean kick/ bass relationships, whilst ongoing inconsistent movements can be a sign of clashes «down there». However, not all clashes are necessarily bad, it depends on the song, but it’s at least a hint towards how clean/ dirty the low end is. Hope that clarified
@@subphotic thanks for the tip!!
I always forget to try this out. Great video pal
Thanks fam, so glad to hear it! Cheers🙌
wtf? this is outstanding quality video, why does this channel not have more subs? keep up the great work!!
Thanks fam, really appreciate the props🙏
Love the video too! ❤ Clean and good. Guess you can have ten of those mixing mistakes if you want to make the video shorter so that you get more viewers to watch the whole video. But this was very good and thorough, as always! Looking forward for more.
My man! So glad it was of help😍
Love the video! ❤
Glad to hear it fam❤️
What's your number one mixing mistake?
Thank you
You’re welcome🙌
What is the difference between a multiband compressor and a multiband EQ?
(MB compressors VS dynamic EQs) Short answer: They’re basically the same. Longer answer: The mb compressor typically does more surgical dynamic shaping, and the dynamic eq typically does more surgical frequency band manipulation, ie filter slopes, different curves etc. However, the more modern tools have features that in many ways overlap. Hope that helps
@@subphotic Yeah that is very helpful, thank you!
Some very useful tips given. Thanks man👍
So glad to hear it🙌
Hey Subphotic, thank you sooo much man for doing all this research and for the shout out!! And just like you I haven’t been able to get the F buttons to work in a stable way, but I still have just learned some very useful tips from you re. assigning other buttons to control plugins….this was a real gem and will help to speed up my workflow👌. And I was grateful for your parting words of advice, re. not allowing these things to hinder creativity (I paraphrase) but never a truer word spoken. Thank you once again for updating me and for the great content, I appreciate it👍!!
Awesome! And keep at it💯🔥
Thank you! Perfect.
You're stacking pop filters, while not even talking directly into your mic? That's some serious plosives aversion. 😆
Hahaha, you don’t know the half of it😆 It doubles as a vocal recording mic for rappers, so I don’t have the patience to detach/ retach. But I totally get it haha
Use Case 2 habe ich direkt implementiert und für sehr gut befunden. Nutzt du diesen Trick regelmäßig ?
Hey, thanks for chiming in🙌 So glad it worked for you! Yes, I do it every so often, of course depending on whether it’s needed or not.
Decreasing everything a bit before the chorus is a good tip!
Yeah, sometimes a db up on everything in the chorus is 🔥
Mine is getting delivered now, be here Monday 💪🏾
Yay! I already do this! But, I'm not as subtle with reverb and delays. I like my vocals wet. 😅
Awesome! Yeah it really depends on the needs. For strictly boom bap hiphop I like the send efx practically non existent. And I love to break that rule of thumb from time to time
@@subphotic My delays are like a mullet: business in the front, and party in the back. 😂
@@razhmazh haha
Very helpful!
Soooo good to hear my man

Thought bro z gona use fabfilter reverb 😂
I’m not THAT radical 😆
hey , why not just use an limiter to cut that peak transient?
I like manually treating rogue peaks, preferrably without plugins if I can
I don't support the message of buying plugins. 😂
(For real though, get the free ones. They're as good as the paid ones.)
Hahaha😍
It's so stupid that your song gets saved in 17 different places and the cache builds up to 30 gig, and you can still delete the song cause its not where you are. Crazy. I have lost master songs from my upcoming album because I thought the song was where I had put it.
I’ve experienced that with my video editing software, but not in Logic, Reason or Ableton. Which daw do you use? Sounds really frustrating!
@@subphotic Studio One.
Which of these mixing mistakes resonated most with you?
The beat sounded flawless even before mastering, me was there just enjoying
Appreciate that fam🙏
The language of the song distracted me from the purpose of the video 🤦🏿♂️
Ait good to know
Bro, i ask you do a full beat from scratch in logic using stock everything. And then do the mix and mastering. External samples may come clean and well tweaked, but if you use stock samples alot will feel relatable and will help producers in many situations
Good tip, thanks!
Hello! Did You dig it a little deeper, could You use it for automate modulation or breath control (cc2) for example?
Yes I did! A video is coming about it shortly. For my case, in Logic 11, it seems like a sad story, but it’s definately doable with some caveats. I’ll tag u once it’s up😀
@@subphotic Wow, thanks! Subscribed:) It`s interesting, that there`re videos about this controller, but not enough:) Like, I think it`s better to have one motorized fader than 8 which is not: just click with mouse on the track and start tweaking. Rinse and repeat:)
@@ivanmatkowski737 Yessir! In that regard it’s a rock solid piece of gear. Thanks for subbing💯🙌
