Can you help me? Why is my viewport dark? And my bottle too.
I can't put the transparent thin
Very very cool this is exactly what I need.
Thank you Mr.🤝
Regarding anisotropy: what it does is affect the direction that light scatters. Non-zero values will cause light to preferentially scatter either towards or away from the light source. This can be useful for things like representing the Mie component of atmospheric scattering, which preferentially scatters light away from the light source, forming a sort of bright glow around the light source which fades away at larger angles (you can easily see this by looking at the sun in the sky on a clear day, there will be a whitish glow around it which is brighter close to the sun and fades out as you look away, this can be recreated in Blender using anisotropic scattering).
im following the exact steps why the fuck is not showing the same way lmaoooooooooo
Hiya, I tried this tutorial but transparency only shows up for me in cycles and not eevee.
you talk and move on from steps way to fast just a tip take a bit of time in-between or slow it down to explain.
awesome tutorial, first thing I've ever made in blender and it looks great. Do you know how to export then import it into Unreal while keeping the material qualities that it had in blender? when i did it my glass material lost it's transparency.
I must admit that I am totally lost when trying lighting at Blender. I am not completely ignorant, I worked mainly with 3ds max some 20 years ago, making somewhat of a living with (mesh and spline) modelling, materials and lights and had adequate rendering results with (most of the time) very simple lights set-up but also being able to "mess around" with more complex lights set-up with no problems or unexpected results.. I may be older and dumber, but I am getting frustrated, only getting awful renders with Blender, very, very dark or totally bland. I am missing something, that is obvious, probably something very basic, but it seems a hurdle that I never had to overcome with other 3d software I worked in the past... Sorry for the rant....
I am not sure but AFAIK, Node set-up for lights only works on Cycles
A really good video with useful information and tricks keep up the good work.
Thanks for the support! I’m super glad you found this useful :)
These are some valuable tips!
I'm glad you think so! Thank you for the support :))
This video is helpful, but I can't get the bottle to be transparent and I did the exact same thing he did. I'm so confused.
Try and checking if you are in Eevee or in Cycles. Additionally, try checking your transmission value (higher is more transparent), your roughness (lower is more glossy), and alpha (lower is more transparent) on your Principled BSDF. Another thing you can check is if you're on solid view or on rendered view. You can change to rendered view on the top right, or by pressing Z. I hope this helps! Let me know if it's still not working.
@@mseptirymen Thank you! I now understand where I went wrong.
Hey bro, are you participating in the new 3d community challenge? Boss Fight.
Hey mastergenom! I’m not sure yet to be honest, I’m still deciding! Will you be participating?
Of course, when I was looking for materials for my work, I saw your channel and thought that you should try it. And this is just for fun, if you release a video with the work process, maybe you will help someone, for example me. I completely forgot how to use Blender.
I'm working on it! Your comment gave me the motivation!!

Hey Mike. Great video! Thank you from a new subscriber from New Zealand.
Thanks for the support, Tom! Glad to see it helped!
@@mseptirymen Keep up the good work. I think you've good a great future ahead, with the very presentable teaching style and content I've seen so far.
Even though I know most of this stuff. Your presentation was solid. Looking forward for other render tutorials.

I learned Blender at the entry level a while ago, then I couldn't spare much time due to my life, so I can say that I came back stronger. Thank you for your wonderful content.
Hey Mamisteryo! Keep up the great work!! I'm glad I could be of help. If there's anything specific that you'd like me to make a bite-size video on, let me know and I'll try my best to make it :)
@@mseptirymen I'm planning to go to bootcamp to be a game designer, I wonder what you can offer us under this title
That's a little bit away from my expertise, but I'll look into it!
What do you guys think of an full asset pack with 30+ models? Would you pay money for that? Let me know in the replies!
Thanks for the tutorial . Abut the asset pack: Personally, as I am still getting used to Blender, I want to do all assets by myself (to learn). But maybe if the assets you would be selling included tutorials on how-to-do-them they might be more useful to me....
hmm, that's a good take on it! I'll think about that. Thank you for your input!
You need to start the video with a nice big pic of the final result. If we don't see the outcome then we have no idea what we are watching this for!
hi carribbeanchild! Thanks for the suggestion. I did add a picture of the final piece in the beginning of the video. I could make a more zoomed in version for next time! Definitely check it out on my Instagram as well :)
great tutorial ..keep it up
Hi abedabdelrahman6742! Thanks for the support!!
This video was super helpful, thanks!
Hey, glad it could help! Let me know how your Blender journey goes :)
I cannot see through glass the liquid and I don't know why
Thanks for the question! In the Principled BSDF, try increasing the transmission or decreasing the alpha. Make sure you're in Cycles when you do this!
When I add the solidify modifier to it, the neck shortens every tick I go up in thickness, accept for the impossibly thin film that was there prior to solidifying. Do you know how to fix this? Thanks
Hey! This could be because the bottle itself is also increasing in thickness. You can try to solidify it with a negative value instead (so the mesh goes inside instead of outside). This should fix the issue!
Amazing video!
what if you have two cubes that aren't instanced, can you instance the other cube without deleting it and doing another alt + D? Or even a totally different object that you want to be an instance of.
If I understand your question correctly, you are asking if I can instance a duplicate of a cube that hasn't been instanced in the past? If that is your question then yes, it is possible. The first cube will not be touched, but the 2nd and 3rd cube will be instances of one another, so editing either of the instance will edit it's partner as well. Let me know if you had something else in mind!
nice tutorial jeep it up .. i guess the music you need to change my friend going too fast for the video ..but overall great channel
Thank you, friend! I will pay more attention to the music I use next time!
Hey everyone, just wanted to tell you guys that BlenderMarket is having its Spring sale!! Pick up cool addons like Boxcutter and Botaniq premium for discounted prices!!
Which assets do you use ?
I made most of the assets myself actually! The rest of them were from addons or kitbashed.
Me who dont know how to use uv watching this
Maybe I’ll make a video on it 👀
how are you not at least 10 000 subs already, amazing video...
That means a lot, thank you! We’ll get there eventually 💪
Nice video. If I can make a suggestion, thumbnail is good, but it would be better if the two models used (cube and statue) were brighter colors that pop and can be distinguished from the background. You'll get noticed more. Nice video though. Well done :)
Thanks for the appreciation, JUBI! I will look into the thumbnail for the next video to make it brighter!!
Great selections! I agree with all of them!
Thanks! What's your favorite addon?

In which part of the video is that? If you can pinpoint the exact part, I could help a lot more!
There's no video at the top right (2:20).
Sorry about that! Just added it!
Short: add geometry, add light - done.
Love your vids man
Thank you for the support!!
How do you only have 346 subs???
We're working to keep moving up!
Every day I am learning more about the technical aspects of Blender and how to model effectively, but I struggle with conceptualization. Did you use a reference for this, or did you do it spontaneously? Everything looks so nice and cohesive.
For this one, I had planned it beforehand, and I used some reference images for things like the hammer, sign, and barrel!
Why do you switch to object mode to scale the tongue at 15:10? Love your videos, just a small tip: Sometimes your mic seems to swallow the audio for a couple of seconds, but that is few and far between. Really great content.
Switching to object mode lets you preserve the location of the origin relative to the object you are moving. This way, I keep it in the center of the volume!
Awesome tutorials man, I like how you take your time for everything. And you have a very pleasant voice. Looking forward to more.
thanks for the tutorial can you share your camera settings ? is it Fish Eye?
@@blendersarelikevegans Tell me the Part of the camera settings .. use your kind heart
Hey! It’s not a fisheye. I used a regular perspective camera. However, you could definitely use a fisheye lens for a more distorted look as well!
Just found your channel today, really interested to see what you continue to produce! Subbed!
No reason to put others down! I'm still learning Blender as I go. I just want to share what I've learned :). Isn't that the best part about RUclips?
@ZEJ ? You’re unhappy because the guy isn’t ‘top tier’? Be more courteous to others, I like what I see so far and look forward to seeing his future work.
@@mseptirymen Don’t let such folk put you off (and I’m sure you won’t), I’ve been using Blender on and off for a while and you’re at a higher level than me! All the best for the future, sir.
