Is there any way you have a video of how to grease the box?
Finally someone who’s really showing a true test with the batteries! I picked up the 28inch Ego snowblower the other day. Looking forward to this winter
Appreciate it !
Awesome .. can u outline your fees for a job like this ?
We're moving into a new house and it has a huge cedar hedge out front. Initially I was thinking that I would just cut it all down and replace it with a cedar fence instead. But I wonder if I can cut it down to something more reasonable to save it or at least put off the fence for a few years. I think it currently stands about 16-20 feet tall. Is it realistic to think you could cut that down to 6' without killing?
So did you buy the over the head model and just take the muffs off? Or did you get the hardhat version? Or is it the same
Hey I got the hard hat version and popped off the brackets
@@phil.vision thanks. Was hoping the over the head popped off as well
@@illinoisoutdoorsman414 It looks like it does!
Really like how you laid out this video, great commentary, efficient work, and great results. Bonne job les gars!
Merci!
Fantastic video. Very much appreciate the comparison from a real world commercial user. Gardener from Scotland. - Conor
Cheers!
Don't worry about your kness kid. If your knees go bad in your 70's (that's 40 years for you), the procedure will be painless and fast. Medicine is moving quickly. I need a knee replacement. I have two friends who have had it done. They had them replaced in the morning and were walking by late afternoon. No more pain. They both said they wish they had it done earlier. Imagine where medicine will be if you're having knee problems in the future.
Great video, pole saw on xmas list, i want to take feet off the top. In Laurentians.
Equipementsvision.com for the ladder!
Dude curious as to what you charge for something like this? Hahahahahaha I just did the 187ft on two sides of the driveway and they were roughly 25-30 feet tall……for the whopping total of $700….i can’t express enough the very tough lesson I learned
I wish I could post a screenshot of it…..holy smokes it was a big old humble pie situation
Super helpful video Phil! Can’t wait for our Cast units to show up 😎
Awesome!!!
is it possible to shape a mature emerald cedar it’s getting to wide on the bottom
Hi! Thanks for stopping by. You are always limited to what the plant has to offer. In the Quebec climate zone, we can't trim too aggressively or past the green on the side. If the emerald will be bare after pruning, its perhaps best to consider replanting a few units. Cheers!
Hi,are the cast still good? How do they survive after rain? Thanks for your review 👍
Being that we work out in the pouring rain of Washington State I also need to know about water protection as well.
On peut acheter ça ou au Québec Canada
equipementsvision.com
merci! new sub!
Merci bcp!
How much would you charge for doing the same on a 200 foot long hedge? 15 feet wide at the top and about 12 feet high.
Thousands! a 15ft wide reduction is a NIGHTMARE! If it's wider than it's taller, I wouldn't reduce it. For a trim, I'd put a day on it for 3-4 guys, so 3500$ Cad
Thank you so much for answering. I figured that much. That hedge is a monstrosity, indeed. It was planted as a double row of cedars more than 50 years ago by my wife's grandfather and was not kept under control. We purchased the house and I inherited the problem. It takes me days of pain and suffering to keep it at the state it is now. And it was bigger when I first started with it!
Big help just what I was looking for to do my cedars. Thanks!
Bridgenorth Ontario here, just had 320 ft of white cedar hedge planted with the hopes of someday being as bushy as some of the hedges I see in your videos. What kind of cedar were these and how old were they? Mine are 9-10 tall right now, planted about 1 foot 3/4 apart.
can you tell me what the name of that ladder is
Any experience trimmed thuja green giant hedges? Planted some a few years ago and looking for any tips on keeping it manageable!
Just buy a long hedger and a latter, trim as much as you need they will grow back thicker more compact, repeat every few years, they are very resilient.
My guys will act like ur a p*ssy askn 4 a lil bit of help 😂. Every movement definitely adds up. Help save body wear N tear & ovrall makes day shorter. Luv the teamwork 🫱🏾🫲🏻🫡
Rent a scissor lift. Youre welcome
We own one now!
and why gas other whise then diesel ?
alright man ! so next quedtion wath is the size of the box and would you said its to small ??
We don’t have enough kilometres to justify dies. The box is 10 feet long and it is just the right size. If you are only a tree removal company, maybe you should consider something bigger. fast forward four years and we do a lot of pruning and don’t do a lot of removals so it’s perfect.
awesome video. great efficiency. How could I reduce the height of cedar hedges if I don't have a ladder that's tall enough to reach the tops? Is there a way or am I pooched? Thanks
Excellent review, I've been struggling to find the part number for the tip protector. For some reason Husqvarna don't list this part for the 520iHT4, but I have fitted Part No 581 48 35 01 without any issues. Hope this helps.
Wat would be the cost of a setup like this one?
Was 88 k cad about in 2020
I have a issue with mine brand new use twice and motor is fine however the blades seem to makeing a noise like a clicking noise and like there lose however all nuts and bolts are tight
ugh, that's no fun. Im getting 2 engines changed as we speak....
when you make that flat wall appearance, how do yo know how much to trim off so you don't go to gar back and make the tree bare?
I usually " stay within the green " on the sides. I know where to go by experience. If you cut in the wood, you'll scrap the hedge sides.
how high is that ladder? and what trimmer and how far does it extend?
16' Hasegawa! Husqvarna 520 iht4 and 3 m reach about?
Thanks for the video. Same issue with the 'intermittant power surge'. Its a bit frustrating as I took it into the dealer, but of course they had no problem when running it and therefore no real solution. So glad you aired this issue for all to see.
I think it's in the wiring harness! pinched wire or something,
great video and nice work. how much does a job like this cost on average and also, could you recommend someone in vancouver area? thanks in advance.
Hi, sorry don't know anyone there off the top of my head! This was 600$, 4 years ago. Should have been 900$ then. I'd be 1200$ today. Prices didn't double. I just didn't charge enough.
why no one's being honest about the play in the adjustment axle ? in any position mine has like 1,5-2 cm play at the blade edge, this is huge, in straight position, it looks like it's on the -1 decline position...... I can see the same problem on any video of it (520ihe3), this plays a lot... the steel adjustment ring not only plays itself, but it also slowly eating the painted zamac in it's slot. I'll have to disassemble it and find a way to fix this. Makes me want to get back to gas trimmer. At the beginning it was just like a 0,5cm play, I'm not abusing it, not even use it so much, but still the play grows larger with time. unacceptable.
Have you ever experienced cable-damage where it exits the earmuff?
On the tuff talk M, yes but not on the CAST. It’s a better build
Good job, safety first. Still using my 10 year old stihl gas trimmer, I’ll go electric eventually but the initial costs for the batteries needed…
Wow
Nice truck, just remember the stuff in the side boxes on the dump portion will shift then dumping the chips.
Yes it does! we have dividers in there to limit the sliding around! Cheers!
❤
Well if it works up there it'll work here in the states thank you for the review
A few years later, still love their clothing!
This design is a decade old. The new 525iHE3 &4 are now out with a Totaly new design style. Ask your dealer for a demo and do a comparison vid pls.
I have done that already! Cheers!
I have a 520ihe3 bought in 2022 and I have the same problem. Fluctuations in the motor Speed even in winter. My dealer said he has changed the motor but the problem remains
Have you tried the Milwaukee M18 telescoping shears yet? I have the M12 hand shears and poo pooed them at first but I really like them for cutting Leyland or Crypto limbs. Or cutting down limbs to put in my Square Barrel.
Hey, no, I have not tried them yet! I am really picky about my hedge trimmers so they have to be lighter and as functional of what I currently have. I’ll have to look into that.
For the audio, look at a DJI mic 2. One receiver and 2 mics. Can also use multiple receivers and more mics and then sync in post processing
Hey, that makes a lot of sense, I will look into that! Thanks for your feedback
Nice! ✂️🇬🇧

A week of chipping in that little box? How do you get these jobs? That's 3 hours at most for me.
This video was taken 4 years go. We are a pruning and preservation focussed company, don't do too much removal. When we do, we fill it up too quick. After 4 years, I still love all the storage on it!
Thank goodness a video was posted
