The Pixel 5a was everything the 4a was, but it had a huge battery, larger screen (for those of us who like that,) additional camera (16MP UW,) 5G support, and a better SoC. Also the last Qualcomm SoC when Tensor was having problems, the last physical fingerprint reader when the optical ones were having problems, and the last Pixel with a headphone jack. If 4a deserved S, 5a doesn't deserve C.

I think they are aware of making ohones that doesnt appeal that much. Because thats what happened to LG. LG wanted to be different as possible from others but ended up failing. Its kinda risky to make completely different designed phone since people just find it weird and its not gonna appeal that much to people. For example when IPhone 11 came up with a brand new design people found it weird. So its hard for samsung to change design.

i proudly still use my s10, 2nd one btw, and i remember when s20 came out i was so disappointed with how bland and underwhelming it looked. Probably my next phone will be a sony, solely for the headphone jack socket.

I was lucky user of green S10 and it looked amazing. My fav phone ever. I hope they will come back to innovative design once again.

The removal of the headphone jack was cos of space to make a bigger battery and make the screen borders smaller

The S24 ultra is literally the best phone that you can buy. Still beats Apple, not by much tho. But if you add up everything else that you may want aside of the phone than sure, Apple would be better in case of ecosystem. If i wouldnt want to puke anytime i touch something with IOS maybe id have an iphone too. Samsung is becoming boring and their only luck is that the other android phones are still behind them both with software, features and polishment.

I fully agree with the watch design argument. I bought a watch 4 classic just because it had a rotating bezel. its extremely useful since its an actual feedback thing and gives it a nice unique but yet simple look. I wont be buying any other samsung watch after this one cause there is no point.

Smasnug began copying Apple as far physical designs as far back as the S6 with the aluminum rails, antennas line and speak holes.

My previous phone was the Pixel 7 Pro and the battery was absolutely horrible. Currently owning the Pixel 9 and the battery is so much better , even though it's smaller.

After the s21 i now went with the pixel 9 pro xl and for me ill never go back
