Tank Fire Gun Downrange
Allegedly the sound of a tank firing its gun, followed by the round impacting downrange. Maybe it is, maybe it ain't, but it sounds plausible. Turn the volume up at your perl.

Among the first on board in Muskegon (boarding from front of ferry), I got parked all they way at the back. This meant I would be first off in Milwaukee, but the high winds during the crossing meant my bike got slathered with lake water the whole way, leaving crusty deposits on everything.

Van Halen's "Jump", but with enhanced bass: - Low-pass filter the original track to produce a bass-only track - shift those bass frequencies to one octave lower - Amplify those lower bass frequencies a bit - Add back to original track - Enjoy! .

May 2020, Ann Arbor made it easier for residents to keep chickens in their backyard. September 2020, a stray chicken from somewhere nearby made its home in our yard, roosting every night in a tree just outside our kitchen. I came outside yesterday to say hello. She wasn't happy about it.
Toro 60V MAX 22" battery-powered mower: sound comparison vs. 4-hp gasoline 4-stroke engine mower
Просмотров 6964 года назад
I bought a battery-powered lawn mower this spring. I like no longer breathing exhaust while mowing, but the other benefit is how quiet this mower is. Not only is the noisy internal combustion engine gone, but the blade also spins slower. Before scrapping my 18-year-old gasoline-powered mower, I recorded some sound levels and put together this comparison. I always wore earplugs with the old mowe...

Oh I thought this was a silencer (suppressor) for a .22LR, so one could shoot in the garage or basement. I'm pretty sure it would be legal, too, because it's not portable and does not mount to any firearm. Then again....target shooting with Airsoft would be a better way to go.

A horizontal baffle in the cabinet exhaust path would help create a drafting draw and lower the temperature by separating intake and outlet airflows, A PC fan could also force draft, quietly. Well done.

There's very little flow restriction in that serpentine exit baffle. It's about 25 inches tall, so the cross-sectional flow area is quite large, making the air velocity low; it's a gentle breeze coming out of that tall exit slot in the side of the cabinet.

the silencers are not effective, because I used x2, two silencers, one at each mouth entrance and low from 77db to 69 db my rvk200 of 1080m3, some Spanish brand sonoconnect soundproof ducts lowered me to 70.5 db, using 70cm on each side, Well, the silenced duct has a value of 3.80 euros per meter, cheap but the silencer, the silencer duct in my case of 60cm and 200mm is worth 200mm is worth a minimum of 50 euros, for 60cm of silencer, which has 4cm of low absorbent material class, 25kg wool or other low density per kg per m2 and density at a thickness of 40 millimeters 4 cm of wool, the silencers are the biggest expense less performance, now disappointed with the result of the silencers that I buy confident in 20 to 28 Result db I will desistalare them and buy spending more than one for bad information and deception because they are useless, the change is noticeable 4%, a modern conduit of the latest design, it is French it is called phonic trap, I am sure that replacing my s traditional rock wool and aluminum sonoconnect ducts for this phonic fabric with cotton that is just as effective as wool plus the polyethylene layer will have better results than with silencers and the obsolete technology of traditional aluminum soundproof tubes plus rock wool plus aluminum Micro perforated, as I will trust the phonic trap brand, I found a virgin brand phonic trap from France that looks good, in my country Spain Madrid, we only have silencers that do not give good results and obsolete aluminum pipes plus rock wool Simple, thank God I found modern French ducts which I have not used or tested but I trust, my idea is to use my size of 20cm to which I am going to micro-perforate and the outer layer to add rock wool of construction of 40kg and 5cm more thick to add to the tube that thanks to the metal structures does not obstruct, then the 20cm tube has a total of 24 I stick 5cm good rock wool and have go 29cm I will add 1cm of acoustic membrane for low frequencies of 2mm and then a total of 30cm I will put another 31 cm conduit inside unmodified phonic trap, in plan an outer layer that protects, total a tube for a 200 extractor with a conduit of 315, but 115mm of absorbent layers

Several years ago I installed a frequency analyzer app on my phone and took a look at the spectrum for my shop vac operating in open air (outside of the cabinet). Here’s what I captured: prestondrake.smugmug.com/Other/Website-Pics/i-37BthQv/0/O/shop-vac-open-air.jpg The red trace is the peak level since last reset, and the green trace is the current/live reading. A few comments about the spectrum: - There’s a notable peak at 350 Hz (this corresponds to 21,000 RPM on the motor, fairly typical speed for a shop vac impeller). - The 7-bladed main impeller accounts for the peak at 2450 Hz. - The 11-bladed motor cooling fan accounts for the peak at 3850 Hz. - There are some other peaks that appear to be harmonics of the above, and plenty of wind noise, all at higher frequencies. Not much going on below 350 Hz. The brushes and commutator may add some white noise to the mix, but I think the bulk of the noise is due to the above factors. There are vacs out there with brushless DC motors, but their biggest selling point seems to be efficiency: you get more air power for the same electrical input. They don't seem to be marketing them as being particularly quieter than conventional universal motors.

I built one exactly like yours and my original reading was around 80ish decibels and with the vacuum inside I get around 70 decibels. Yours is significantly quieter. Its actually silent. Mine has a pitch noise that just hurts your ears. I have no idea what I did differently because its literally the same thing in every way. Maybe the hinges are a tad bit different but that's it.

So my Fein Shop VAc is 66 dBa to start with, so I'm hoping that my cabinet will reduce down to below 50 dBa....will find out tomorrow. THANKS FOR THE IDEAS. Follow up: my Fein starts at 66dBa and is now in a 36”w x 36”h x 20”d.......very quiet. Cabinet and baffles are lined with a 1/4” heavy felt material. Also with a soft gasket Ed door seal. My only concern is the interior cabinet temperature that raises to 48C (118F). I may have to add a small exhaust venting fan and some inlet air vents. My filters are dead clean due to cyclone dust collector installed before vac.
