@adamdarklord I feel like that’s wrong. A longer stroke is moving faster, the cps doesn’t change on the motor. That’s why a longer stroke hits harder. It has to travel farther distance in the same motor rotation

This machine looks like a desperate and pathetic attempt to compete with the Acus, 2 years behind in innovation. sorry but the thing looks like an overpriced and uglier mast lancer.

Dont know why they made it 1cm longer than the classic Unlimited and put the same motor… I don’t see a big improvement… can’t wait to see you make preview about the new heavy strokes from Acus !!!

I recently just purchased the Nuema Flex 5 3.6 cam, instead of the Acus M1. Can’t say I’m really too happy with my purchase, my battery came scratched, and why did no one mention the noise level and vibration? It’s crazy compared to its competitors. I also discovered a bug with the jumpstart mode/ the battery itself. If you try to start the machine when it is set at 10v, it simply won’t, it gets stuck. Not that you would ever be running 10v, but just saying. Every now and then, the needles don’t run right, they seem to pulsate and a simple turn off and turn back on usually fixes the issue. I’ve used different needles, different brands, wrapped it differently. Can’t figure out what causes that! It does it all needlessly types. For $1219 plus a $59 shipping fee, I’ve still been using my Flux. Being that Adam was the main reason for my decision on the flex 5, thought I would post my “review” here and see what other people have to say! overall not happy with my purchase, anyone else have this issue, should I send my machine back? Also if I had known that a $1200 machine offers NO WARRANTY, I definitely would’ve went with a different company.

You think with all those settings in the menu they would have thought to let you swap the power/pause button positions, should have done an hourly rate timer like the critical can do as well. Coupl simpl things that would have cost them nothing to include. And i totally agree a way to update the firmware is essential. I also wished they had some sort of wireless pedal option available at this point. And yea i hate the grip to :p

Sorry for the late comment but i just came across your video and well i had just purchased the same machine at a convention from a tattoo supplier and i turned on the machine and noticed a rattle sound coming from the motor unfortunately ive heard of other people send their machine back and get their motor replaced back to back and still makes the same rattling noise…i absolutely love this machine and would love to keep using it but unfortunately cannot use it at the moment due to the noise im afraid of using it and make it worse.

Man all these gimmicks. I use coils mostly but the best Cheyenne I tried was og hawk pen. Whips, stipples, packs.

What machine do you think is better between acus m1 and the Nuema 5….

Acus M1 is better! It was created by former Cheyenne engineers and also comes from Berlin.

It’s a $300 savings difference but yes battery changeable

Without watching yet, I bet the new sol nova is a ripoff, still a cash grab and the acus is still the winner.

Now you know my experience was not nice. My first one wouldn't keep my tilt feature on. I like the tilt feature although I find myself using it less and less. But I was constantly in that bad menu to turn the tilt back on. And if I pulled my battery pack off with it on once I reinserted it all I had was a black screen. That menu system sucks. Just sayin. They did replace my machine and the new one doesn't have those problems. I have the 3.5mm version and I almost hate to say that I really like how it tattoos. But I liked the 1st version 3.5mm. Agree that the side button feels like the most obvious way to pause and start the machine and that top button just feels awkward. A USB for firmware updates just seems obvious. They missed an opportunity with that. The grip....come on now. What rocket science engineer do they need to make a new grip? For fuks sake. The 3.5 actually pushes larger liners than I expected. It'll push an 11RS with no problem. I stay on steady mode for most of the time. On sensitive skin R1 has been useful. Battery life is great, I agree. Marketing is totally misleading with that ability to change the stroke length on the fly. You can't. Not without buying the whole bottom motor assembly as you stated. And I'm sure those won't be cheap.

Hey Adam, just watched your tutorial. Very impressed and you spoke ENGLISH!!! lol. I'm not a professional tattooist in a studio, i do my own tattoos and yes, I do find the occasional victim...I mean, willing participant!! I've just started looking for thermal printers and there's a plethora out there, obviously...grrr. But, after finding your review ( and yes, I have Liked and Subscribed 🤪) and your descriptions, comments etc were great to follow. So, I am considering this printer now!! Looking forward to seeing more tattooing reviews,etc. One quick question, what are the best shading needles for Stigma tattooing pens, as I have one and my dad has given me the honor ( silly man, lol ) of doing a tattoo of his Jack Russell, which died very suddenly about 2 weeks ago, and he wants it on his left "Man Boob! 🤣 ......Sorry, two questions, lol. My dad is a wimp and he's going to need to be "numbed up." 😅 I used one a few years ago but the "numbness" didn't stay numb for the approx time given.
