Honestly, can’t say enough about Mike & this machine. Mike is such a stand up guy & the MP5 has probably been my favorite machine I’ve ever owned. I learned on coils, built coils, loved coils but when rotary’s & cartridges had came out I made the switch. The convenience was probably the biggest thing for me, as far as being able to swap needles on the fly without having 2-4 machines set up. When I switched over to rotary, Bishop Rotary was my go to for the same reasons that I now use Centri. A consistent & high quality machine with no gimmicks, but even with that being said the customer service is second to none. I had tried for years & years on how to properly use a rotary and for some reason I always found myself second guessing my application, heals weren’t always consistent, lining wasn’t the same as it was as with a coil. But at the time what I didn’t understand, was that it wasn’t a coil, so it wasn’t going to react and behave like a coil. I know half the time it was a me thing though. I don’t think it was until the first version of the wand had come out that I had fully grasped the hang of using rotaries. Went from the regular wand to the power wand and that was my daily driver for years now. I still stand by that machine. I love my Bishop. It’s simple. No gimmicks. When you finally figure it out, it really is a great all around machine. I remember Franco & James both telling me that. I came across the Centri Machine one day on instagram right before the release of the MP5 & it peaked my interest. At first I was like no way haha it’s just another gimmick machine. I had tried the ones with “E-Give” and all that other stuff, but I was like this is probably the same. I shot him a follow and I would see Centri post and every time I saw it I was like man, why does this keep calling me. Does it really hit like a coil? After a year I believe I finally pulled the trigger & ordered the MP5. Blew my mind. Was like riding a bike. It lines like a coil. Hits like a coil. Whips like a coil. Liner shades like a coil, Does everything a coil can, But has the same pros & consistency of a rotary. Literally best of both worlds. I haven’t touched another machine since. Blacks heal black & rich, saturates color very easily, lines heal crisp, you can definitely tell there’s less trauma to the skin. You can still get really soft & smooth blends, or you can whip shade to your hearts delight lol. All & all I think this machine is truly an all around machine. Like the review says, it’s not for everybody but you can’t deny that it’s an incredible machine. I’m a tattoo artist. I’ll tattoo anything that walks through that door. This machine would allow me to do so. My only regret is that I didn’t pull the trigger sooner haha. Loved the review. Would love to see one using the machine in action so that people can get a better understanding of what the machine is like. How it behaves. How you can sink your needle in & go when you line. How you can hear & feel that whip when you shade. How you can still touch the slide and gauge how hard that machine is hitting at the voltage you’re running it at. I feel people don’t get a real sense of that until they either see it, hear it, or feel it themselves even when I try to explain it. 🙏🏽 Thanks Mike.
thumb UP... I have long wondered why tattoo machine manufacturers do not create something that is not a cylinder... this machine looks fantastic... for an artist it is very important how the machine is held, I tried to make a grip of the machine from plasticine and I tried to create a shape that would suit me he held it in his hand the best...but I would have to have CNC machines at home to finish it....Thanks for the video .. PS Google Translate
Thank you Adam ! You covered a lot with an open mind and kept it real! I’m sure this will answer a lot interested and curious artist questions. Do you mind if I link this video on my website? That would be awesome. Thanks again for the extensive review! Great work! 🫡
Only con for me is the needle adjustment wheel. Had the same « dislike » for scorpion tattoo machine with their « dial wheel » Looks great tho. Sadly not found in Europe.
Looks cool, but you can’t take the grip off to autoclave it? Can you get to the drive bar and clean it? Not just that cartridge receiver? If that’s not possible seems like a health hazard like all other sealed off machines
You can’t take to grip off either version, the drive bar sticks out a slight bit inside the machine so you can kinda get to it if you put cleaner on a q-tip or something. Centri doesn’t want people to open it to far because the magnets are positioned in a very specific way and people would definitely not be able to put it back the way it’s supposed to be without chipping or braking a magnet. But I agree better access to the drive bar on any machine is always better
Man what a shame. Seems super cool otherwise, but can’t be properly cleaned equals shouldn’t be used to do tattoos, doesn’t matter how it hits or feels. Dangit lol
Every year when I get my recertification for BBP I go over my machines on how I wrap and clean them with madicide and the instructor passes me. It’s not rocket science how to clean a machine how to wrap a machine and how to tattoo without making a modern abstract art on you, your machine and your station. What cracks me up is that all these pens from other manufacturers are completely sealed packed with grease creating a beautiful harbor for pathogens. Where my machine has windows to clean everything… in bbp class they never spray your machine or surfaces, you spray a towel and then clean. So a towel and qtip with madicide can reach anywhere on this machine without breaking it. How is this unacceptable but passes my blood born pathogen instructor? At the end of the day I hear a lot of laziness and that’s something a tattoo artist should not practice.
ALL of those other pens are also unacceptable, I’m not saying they are ok. The problem is the industry and the lack of care. For example, everyone just wrapping their machines with plastic and a barrier and tape and saying it’s ok. The problem comes in when you switch cartridges and the back of the carts are, since they are in your “dirty” work area, contaminated. So all the plastic wrap and baggies and membranes don’t do a damn thing for that, which is why a machine needs to be fully accessible to clean. Passed your BBP test? Great. But that doesn’t mean the risk is zero, it is zero when it can be disassembled and autoclaved, drive bar and grip. Yes you can say caps aren’t sterile gloves aren’t sterile etc, but those didn’t come in contact with multiple people’s skin and open cuts. Maybe I just have a higher cleanliness standard? To each their own, but as professional artists feel we should all be at that level.
There isn’t any spot inside the grip where the cart sits that you can not clean on my machine. Out of 21 years tattooing never had a health case or issue. At the end of the day if you do not test your autoclave you’re not sterilized. Autoclaving is not 100% safe… thats why we have pore test strips. I agree this argument about safety can go on and on. But if you know what you’re doing and not just following the hip crowd you should be just fine.
if you are planning to buy without testing it please dont waste your money for this machine. 1.5mm actual stroklenght and no penetration in larger needles. use light weight coil instead or rotary with give. this machine is totally trash did not mimic the coil.
You must be using very very stiff needle carts if you’re not getting the full 4mm of stroke length. A medium tension membrane needle is recommended. It makes a huge difference on how the machine runs. What machines do you have that you would recommend?
trying mimic coil? should study more about electronics physics science and technology. The magnetic coil machine is a classic machine which uses an alternating electromagnetic current to pass through coils and turn magnets on and off in rapid succession. This pulls a spring loaded armature bar and creates an up and down motion, which results in the armature bar tapping the needles into the skin. while this machine is rotary with magnet pushing against same pole. and no chance to get full potential penetrating the skin. the force and strokelength is less than half when the needle is load even you use softest membrane. if you are tattoo machine collector this can added to your collection. but if you care about your tattoo business your work and your client this machine not recommended.
Yea please show us your skills. Show me your work… because if you can’t tattoo with this machine, it’s going to be very entertaining content. Please send us a link of your professional work. I have over 250 MP5’s out there being used as daily drivers…. And then there is you saying I don’t know what I’m doing. Please show me what’s up? Here is your stage! Mic is yours!
Lace nano is two college kids who stole John Clark’s design. Don’t even give those frauds any attention. Do some homework on lace nano or any other magnetic rotary and you will see it all traces back to John Clark. They are all knock offs of his hard work. Not that these kids these days care but they should.
I had fun with the lace nano.. was literally as light as a biro pen but worked OK with a heavy brass fat grip.. uo to 6ml stroke if my memory serves.. the power supply was limited to their one only though. Was still fun, for a bit, great for stipple shading.. punchy for lines to. I may give your centri MP5 a go to soon 😊✌️
im curious about magnetic drive. the machine looks interesting. only used twice. its really weird machine. applying different techniques trying to get used into it but its not for me. not a coil feel that electromagnetic force downward only and small force pushing up from backspring when the current releases . this pure magnet, upper magnet pushes same pole magnet down. but the big problem is bottom magnet pushes up strongly. the power concentrated in the middle of strokelenght resulting very short stroke and cannot inject needle to skin properly. its strange dude.
ADAM!!!! Thank you for the shout out sir! As always making some great review videos!!!

Thanks for making these awesome machines!
Feel free to link or post it anywhere you would like 🙌
I dig the way you make your videos bro...🤘
Thanks man!
I appreciate you 🔥

Yeah that wheel is the biggest thing for me too, I’m sure if you messed him he would ship one to you
Im a coil guy so i liked it i just wish it was round not gonna get the tactical version
It’s very surprisingly comfortable in the hand. But yeah I’m just so much more used to a round machine also 🔥
Reminds me of Aron Cain machines. the way it looks
What machine would you say is better for lining between this and the new numea 5. ??? Both seem to imitate a coil????
Neuma 5
@@adamdarklord ok cool I'm gonna get 1
Hey you should review other magnetic rotary machines like qluna and Johnson irons
It’s definitely something I’ll have to check out!
It sounds so good 😮
🙌
I want an MP5 so bad!!
Scoop one up!
Nice vape
lol 💀
It’s like if Tesla made tattoo machines. Looks fun to use though
Literally… posted that seconds before the truck slid on screen 🤦♂️
lol right 🧲 ⚡️
This is like the scorpion from inkmachines .. the scorpion actually uses magnets in the machine and the cartridges
I’ve seen that!
I’ve had yet to try out anything from inkmachines but everything that I have seen from them looks pretty dope 🔥
Bro what kinda white ink do I use
I use World Famous White House, it goes right in 🔥

Literally the only machine in the last 10 years that I just couldn't use. Must be like you said. This was designed for Mike. Not for me.
It definitely has a specific shape and feel to it that’s unique!
