Northern Emerald Tree Boa Collection | First Video

Hey guys, my name is Ethan! This is my first video on youtube!! Today I am adding my Northern emerald tee boas into their new PVC enclosures. I hope you enjoy the video, be sure to like and subscribe! Thanks for watching!
I’m not planning to handle my tree snake, whether it’s an ETB or GTP, but I’m wondering which species you feel is generally more docile. For the moments of necessary interaction, like cleaning, I’d prefer the one with a calmer temperament. Which would you recommend? How would you compare GTP vs. ETB? I have strong preference for NETB overall- wondering what your thoughts are seeing your familiarity with the species. Thanks for your great videos … amazing enclosures
❤
Thank you for the comment
Bro I went there just now
How was it?
What track were you walking when you saw the Tuatara. I’m going to be there in February and like you hope to see these cool critters!
Hi Paul, I wish I could tell you but its been over a year and I have simply forgot however the guides are extremely knowledgeable and I would really just express to them how much you want to see them and they will point you in the right direction. Also some guides are more knowledgeable than others so don’t be afraid to ask around. I saw my Tuatara’s in the last 10 minutes before the ferry was leaving back to the mainland all because I asked one more guide if they had any spots! Good luck! Let me know if you see one :)
Where can I get one of those enclosures for my emerald ?
It depends where you are located, US or Canada. If you are in Canada there are some PVC companies that build them but they are fairly expensive when purchased brand new (400-700 CAD) I recommend searching around on facebook marketplace, craigslist or kijij you can normally score them for 200-300 CAD. These ones are 3ftx2ftx2ft. If I were to do it again I would prefer to keep my adult emeralds in 4ft long cages (4x2x2) just to give them a little more horizontal room. Cheers.

Best zoo in Downtown Houston
Thanks for the comment
i love zoo beautiful
The best!
The two things that turned me off: "The tail is 1/3 or 2/3 of the body length" - *check* before you make a video, and "hunting for birds and other mammals."
Thanks for the comment

:)
57 Lbs ! He was a big boy
He sure was!
great
Thank you
another great upload!
Thanks for the visit
awesome vid mate, but please don't pick up any of our mammals and monotremes as they have very delicate systems and pick them up incorrectly ca cause damage, but they can also suffer from capture myopathy which is basically when your scare the animal to death. Im glad you had a great time in aus and im not trying to hate but just trying to inform you about our native wildlife ✌
Super informative thank you for the comment, definitely will remember for the future if I ever get to make it back! Cheers.

Yes they have both alligators and saltwater crocodiles. I showed off their big and very famous salty Elvis towards the end of the video.
Thanks bro this is awesome.
Glad you like it
It's a shit fucking zoo New Zealand sucks for everything
Visited it for the first Time ever in February 2024 ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
So awesome!
I’ve went there before 😭😭😭
Thats awesome
Are you on the central coast in this video? It's funny, I regularly have people tell me an area is full of eastern browns and majority of time it's been misidentified and is either a marsh snake or whip snake. I have came across about 5 eastern Brown snakes out hiking and every single one of them was chilled, they behaved exactly like every other snake I've came across. Give them space and respect them, they'll want nothing to do with you and even let you take some cool pics👍
I was just North of Sydney for the majority of this video! I was fully hoping to see one but it just wasn’t in the cards this time around!
@@ECO-logy ye the central coast is where the reptile park is just north of Sydney, where was the place you found the red belly? Im from that area lol
Where abouts on the Central Coast was this?
I think I got it wrong in the video. This was around the Blue Mountain NP and Katoomba
@@ECO-logy at the beginning of the video when you spotted the red bellied black snake, where abouts where you? That wasn't Katoomba or the blue mountains.
i go to auckland zoo loads bcuz i live in nz my fav exhibit is the otter exhibit, cuz they CUTE
Otters are awesome
@@ECO-logyI agree
I’ve been too the zoo ever since I was a in nz child their animals were not many their and they used to not have a vet centre and they didn’t have those climbing towers I never seen the new animals that they had I saw the flamingo once but they got taken away a year later.
Thanks for the comment
I remember the Polar Bear too in the 1970s...there were also some normal bears and lions, I think where the Sumatran tiger enclosure is now. Then once the lions went, they had a couple of Hyenas. I remember the ape enclosure being just a cage and they looked so sad being locked in there. At least with the newer enclosures they have a little more freedom to move around using the overheard ropes. Even though I now live in Otago, I grew up in Auckland and still enjoy visiting the zoo when I'm back up there.
Thanks for sharing this awesome info!
I went to that zoo with my cousins! tho I don’t live in Auckland I live in Christchurch
Thanks for the comment
I was here yesterday, oh my gosh

Hey guys, I just posted a NEW ZOO TOUR video to the channel! Make sure to go check it out and let me know in the comment section which zoo you think is better!! Thanks for watching :)
yoo, I live in new zealand! who knows we'll maybe see each other in the zoo or aquarium one day?
I wish my friend! I was visiting New Zealand on a work trip from Canada. I just had to stop by and see the zoo, maybe if I get to come back one day.
Great video dude keep them up
Thank you my friend! Appreciate the comment :)
What are you using as bait to trap these guys?
We use a variety of smelly baits that are great for increasing our chances of catching turtles.
Thank you for showcasing our zoo, they have come a long way! For example, when my dad was growing up (60s/70s) there used to be polar bears but because of their enclosure they would always walk backs and forwards (exactly the same walk and everything), the elephants used to be in that cafe near the tortoise, and when I was a kid (2000s/10s) I remember the tigers were in a deep pit near the red pandas. So they've definitely done a lot to improve the zoo over the passed decade or so!
Wow! You shared some real Auckland Zoo History! Thank you for the comment
what the difference between the last stinkpot vs the other ones?
Thats a great question! We are not too sure whats going on and thats part of the reason why I am here, to better understand why some turtles in the population are exhibiting cases of extreme growth in both body size and more importantly head size! Some turtles like the one in the video are huge with massive heads and others are completely normal and we need to figure out why!
Awesome job
Iv been there yooo
Hell yeah!
this video is so wholesome, congrats on the publication!
Thank you my friend :)
That was fun lived up the road from there when I was young now live in South Island haven’t been there for forty years it has really changed thanks again for that.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for watching.
