I read the book 'The Mountain is You' by Brianna Wiest. Master Your Money in 6 Weeks with “I Will Teach You to be Rich” by Ramit Sethi
I think the author tries something different to stand out but i don't think it is working because his fundamental logic is wrong and he is nitpicking research. It is not about not trying to think negative thoughts it is about thinking positively. When you notice you are thinking negatively you switch to positive thinking. And it scientifically works.. I like your videos, good luck!
In my opinion, the content you provide is much more understandable and valuable compared to many RUclipsrs who focus more on catchy thumbnails for the views than on the actual substance of their videos
Thank you so much Abdallah you're always so kind and I appreciate you so much! 😭🥰 I'm glad you're still enjoying the videos and I'll keep improving to make sure that I put out valuable content always! 🥰
Thank you for sharing Very insightful 🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾🙏🏾
thank you so much Edwin! I'm really glad that this was helpful and insightful 🥰
I like the idea of an incremental theory mindset. Stretching and improving. Putting the puzzle together. You’re getting close to 700!
Thank you so much as always Shawnee! 🥰 It really helps to remember that in the face of 'failure' sometimes haha. Pushing on!!! 💪
Thank you for interesting insights... this explains some behavior which i noticed in myself but could not really understand
It was my pleasure! Thank you so much for watching and taking the time to let me know how you felt 🥰 I hope you can better understand yourself now :)
I think evaluating the thoughts,( am I thinking neg.)is the flaw in this tactic.
Hey Marsha! Do you mind explaining what you mean by this so I can better understand? I'm afraid I'm a little bit lost 😅
Hope your channel continues to grow, don’t give up 💪
Thank you so much! I definitely won't give up 🥰

I had to come back to this video just to tell you how amazingly you structured this! You create content with such a perfect blend of relatable firsthand experiences and education to back what you are sharing. Amazing work. <3
Thank you again Kallitayah! It really means a lot to me that you actually took the time to come back, wow! 🥰 I'm really glad you liked the video that much! I'll do my best to keep up the videos and also improve over time. Thank youuuu so much for your comments and support! 🙏
I’m a great procrastinator already, so it’s good to know it has its benefits lol. I actually attended one of the Covey time management seminars back in the 90s and they demonstrated the rocks in a jar theory. It’s very convincing. But in reality, I can only focus on one or two large priorities at once. I have a long list of tasks/goals that I transfer the top ones to my weekly calendar. As I accomplished one I then move another one to my calendar. This allows me tome to have everything written down so I don’t forget, but only worry/focus on one at a time. I have a book suggestion you might like. The Art of Social Excellence: How to make your personal and business relationships thrive by Henrik Fexeus.
Oh wow Shawnee it seems you're already doing a lot of things right! Did you by any chance read Four Thousand Weeks before? Haha the rocks in the jar theory had me convinced too, then I read Oliver's book and I was like "oh waitttt" HAHA. Thank you so much for the book suggestion as well! I have a long list of books in my to-read-list at the moment but I'll add it! 🥰
Thanks for the video. The efficiency trap is so relatable! The faster I complete my tasks, the more work I’m assigned to do
Sometimes it's better NOT to be 100% efficient 😂
As someone who’s been trying to do too much at once and failing/burning out, this was very helpful to me, thanks. Love your videos
Thank you so much as always! 🥰 I'm also always constantly on edge and trying too hard to do too many things. If you need any help/encouragement, feel free to hit me up! 🥰
This is a ‘Morphing Time’ appreciation comment ❤💙🖤💛🩷
Awww thank you!! My editor put that in for me hahaha 😂❤️
What's your other channel?
Hi so sorry I can't reveal that cos it's a faceless channel (unlike this one you're watching right now)!
Thank you for sharing ❤❤❤
Aww thank you so much for watching! I appreciate you! 🥰
By far one of the best videos on productivity and implementation of Carl Newports books! This is really interesting and inspiring!
Aww thank you so much that is insanely high praise and I appreciate it! 🥰 I will probably do more Cal Newport experiment videos in the future!
You get my follow! I think I'm echoing a lot of comments now but that was really informative and you did a great job applying it
Hi Shafik! Thank you so much for the comment and the follow, it really means a lot to me! 🥰 I'm really glad you liked how the book was applied!
This is awesome where did you hired your editors I need one please help.
Hi thank you so much! 🥰 I hired from Linkedin, though it took me a long time to find someone who was good (almost 12 months). Have you tried Upwork and VidChops? Those are the most recommended!
I don't know why this video popped up in my suggestions, but I'm glad it did. Subscribed 😄
Hey Joey! Haha probably because my channel is new and RUclips is still trying to figure out the audience XD Thank you so much for watching and commenting and subbing! 🥰
"there will never be a time to make perfect decision" thank you so much Liz
Thank YOU so much Abdallah, for always watching my videos! 🥰 I hope the lessons were useful 💕
Well made video 👍🏼
Thank you so much! I'm glad you liked it 🥰
I just got Meditations for Mortals last week! Thank you for this video Liz. It's so helpful and well done 😊
Thank you so much RJ! It means a lot that you watched this and commented too 🥰 Let me know how you find Meditations for Mortals! I got it in September, think it somehow got released in Asia slightly earlier haha XD
@@LizLovesReadingSelfHelp so far I just finished week 1 and am reading it one day at a time as Oliver suggests :D I somehow missed that he'd released a new book until I caught him on Cal Newport's podcast talking about it but it still looks like it wasn't released in Canada until October 8. I love his writing and it's so good so far! I'll keep you posted as I get through it all 😊
@@FindYourFlow That's definitely the way to go! Ah yeah the US and Canada release date is Oct 8, but it somehow got released to the UK and Asia like a month earlier haha so strange. I'm really glad you're enjoying it and I'd love to hear what you think about it when you're done! 🥰
The older you get, the better you understand how life just keeps coming at you. You will never get everything done lol. I like how he says to just pick out the most important tasks and embrace the interruptions. Love the video clip! 😂 Also, I am learning to be less fearful at making decisions because I’ve learned imperfect decisions get me farther than procrastinating. And I tell my daughter to stop wasting time worrying and get on with enjoying life. Very hard lesson to master lol.
Thank you so much for always watching the weekly videos Shawnee, appreciate you! 🥰 HAHA love the video clip too I think I've rewatched it dozens of times over the years hahaha XD And true that! Very simple ideas but hard to implement haha. Hopefully you and your daughter slowly improve at worrying less and doing more! 💕
Maybe it's silly, but I'm still struggling to understand the fourth lesson, even though I've watched that part 3 times XD Can someone maybe with a different perspective enlighten me? The whole "objectively enough" bit, is it determining myself what I consider to be enough in those categories?
Loved the video, btw, and your channel! I hope it prospers after all your hard work :)
Thank you so much for taking the time to let me know which parts are harder to understand so I can take note! The 4 questions on the screen are what I came up with for myself, it's not from Ryan. He said to find enough from inside you, so to answer your question, you should determine for yourself what is considered to be enough - there's no need to take my viewpoints on it. I hope this helps! 🥰
@@wolnix4135 Aww thank you you're so sweet!! I really appreciate you watching it, and 3 times at that hahah 🥰
thak liz keep posting
Thank you so much Salah! It means a lot that you watch my videos and leave comments 🥰

Hi Salah! HAHA I hope that's in a good way XD
@@LizLovesReadingSelfHelpyeah of course😅😄💙💙
@@salahbouja7431 Haha aww thank you! 🥰 But even if it's bad feel free to tell me cos I can always improve my vids! 🥰
This video was super helpful! I haven’t create 3 lectures for public speaking on totally different subjects but knowing I should just focus on one at a time will really help! Thanks for your hard work on this channel
Thank you so much Angie! 🥰 I'm really glad you liked it and YESSS focusing on just one at a time is such a game changer. Simple but underrated. I do that all the time now HAHA. I hope your 3 lectures go well!
@ thanks! I’ll be applying these tips! I rewatched this video a few times
@@angiec8784 Aww thank you!! That really helps the video out in the algorithm, I'm really grateful! 🥰
Great video, Subscribed! How much you pay for editor? where did you find them?
Thank you so much for the comment and sub, it really means a lot to me! 🥰I met my editor on Linkedin, and I pay about $200 per video, because the editor I hired is also a motion designer. I hope this helps and feel free to ask me more questions if you need to!
Nice video Liz. Well done!
Thank you so much! I'm really glad you liked this! 🥰
I love Cal. Good video!
Thank you so much! So glad you liked this! ^^
strategy, casually explain to your boss you are no longer full time… What do you do that allows such an approach?
Hi I'm self-employed, so my boss is me HAHA 😂 I used to be a full-time office worker in the past though, and my boss was willing to let me go part time (3 days a week), so I decided to use the same strategy here. Of course, that comes with a 40% paycut, so it's about trade-offs. I was happy to make the trade I guess haha
Another great book. Perception is everything. And attitude. Thanks for another great review. 500 subscribers! Your channel is starting to take off! So excited for you Liz!
Thank you so much Shawnee! It really means a lot that you're always watching my vids weekly! 🥰 Aww you noticed! That's cos one of my videos kind of popped off a little (slow productivity experiment), not sure how long it'll last though 😂
Why you always read Ryan holiday books 😂 I can't believe this man created all this amazing books
Hi Abdallah! HAHAH you caught me! 😂 Cos my OCD likes me to binge read all the books by the same author, I'm weird that way HAHA. I'm giving Ryan Holiday a break for the next few weeks though, a brand new book will be out next week ;)
It's really great content in this ocean. You showed practical, mathematical, and economical aspects. Thanks ❤
Thank you so much for the feedback! I'm really happy you liked this 🥰 I'll do my best to show more practical/math/economical aspects in future videos like these!
Great video! Very relatable and you’re helping me rethink the way I approach my work - I could be doing it so much more efficiently!! Thank you.
Hey Vanessa! thank you so much for taking the time to let me know, I appreciate it! 🥰 Let me know how your new approach to work goes!
You are giving out quality content. I have no doubt, this channel will grow big. Keep at it.
Hey Chris thank you so much for the kind words! Your encouragement really means a lot! 🥰 I'll definitely do my best to keep at it 🥰
Awesome video. Would love to know how you found such an awesome editor. I would also love to make videos but the time investment is the biggest problem. Editing takes forever and I just can’t manage it atm
Thank you so much Grace! I'm really glad you liked the video 🥰 I found my editor on Linkedin! But honestly it takes a really long time to sieve through the applicants, and finding a REALLY good one is like 1 in 300 (at least that was what happened for me). I also wasted a year of time before finding a good one. Honestly I'd just go for Vidchops. Same price range, but with a lot less hassle. It was recommended to me by a few of my RUclips friends. I hope this helps!
Excellent content and an extremely underated channel. Where can i find your second channel? Thanks
Hi Ash! Thank you so much for the kind words and I'm really glad you like the channel! 🥰 As for the second channel, so sorry I can't divulge that because it's a faceless one 😅
Thank you Liz!!! Great review
Thank you so much!! I'm really glad you liked this! 🥰
I was looking for an explanation of the 6 week program and this one is excellent! Interesting and well done🌟
Thank you so much Rose! I'm really glad that it was clear enough. I tried to break the 6 week program down as best as I could 🥰
As always I appreciate your sharing. Sucks when people take advantage of your kindness but at least we can learn from our past mistakes… keep it up Liz!
Thank you so much! Yeahhh it really sucked but the book helped for sure 🥰
What Job? love that schedule
Hi Leah! I'm self-employed, so it was easy for me to change my schedule around. I used to be a full-time office worker though, and I negotiated a 3-day work week with my boss, by taking a 40% paycut!
Hope you achieve all your goals thanks for the video
Thank you so much Abdallah! I'm glad you enjoyed this! 🥰
I like your systematic and thorough walkthrough
Aww thank you so much as always! 🥰 I'm really glad you liked this as well, and I appreciate your constant support!

Thanks really enjoy your channel. Have you ever heard of The Upward Spiral by Alex Korb? You might like it.
Thank you so much for the kind words! 🥰 I've not heard about The Upward Spiral, but thank you for the suggestion! I do have a looooong book list at the moment but I'll add it there and see how it goes 🥰
I LOVE the analysis of how you came to your current schedule. Task switching is EXHAUSTIVE. As a mom and having to tackle the correspondence between my kids school for some of their special needs, it leaves me drained and unable to focus on the needs of my small business. They're both important but and getting it to the point where the latter is truly thriving has been a challenge. I do remember that Cal Newport said his podcast to another mom that struggled with returning to work that for working mom's slow productivity would be more useful that just the habits if Deep Work because of how women's minds change to accommodate the needs of children. Not that I'm implying or suggesting you have or will have kids. Just acknowledging that when you have two things of importance in your life (you need to work to support yourself [/& family] WHILE supporting the needs of a new endeavor [/children]), requires a different framework. The adjustment of how we perceive, allocate, audit, adjust for and use time, being the key. For something that can feel complex and overwhelming, you did a beautiful job describing and explaining an actionable lesson in the book. Thank you. And I wish you much success in the future. ^-^
Hi Jahayra! Thank you so much for such a thoughtful and lovely comment, I really appreciate it! 🥰 Thank you so much for sharing about your life experience as well! I can't imagine how difficult it must be to care for your children AND run a small business. I really respect you. I hope that things will work out and hopefully you will feel a little less exhausted as things are more settled as time goes by. Let me know how it goes! 🥰
