Hey, I have never had a case from OtterBox therefore I can‘t compare. I am not sure why you are asking as you can’t use with QuadLock anyway… I can say however that I am very happy with the QuadLock Case as it isn‘t to thick and chunky but protects it very well and feels very comfortable. It produces towards the display also protecting it when it falls flat onto the screen.

Hey, wie im Video bereits erwähnt kann man natürlich sein Licht auch an dem mitgeliefert Adapter montieren ;) Dann wird es allerdings schwieriger den Gepäckträger so schnell ab und dran zu bekommen, obwohl man dann ja auch zwei Stecker verwenden kann… da finde ich aber ein sauber geführtes Rücklicht zur Sattelstütze schöner. Das ist wohl Geschmacksache :)

@@jeremyw.465 sorry habe nicht erwähnt das ich an mein bike das monkylink System habe da ist der Rücklicht Halter an der sattelstütze integriert mit der Stromversorgung damit wäre der Halter vom Gepäckträger im Weg und würde das Rücklicht verdecken

Prüfe mal ob dein Sattelrohr ausreichend genug über das Oberrohr hinaussteht, sodass du diese dort montieren kannst, denn dann würde sie nicht dein Licht verdecken! Hey, I don‘t know if there even is a name for it. As far as I know there are always the steps in between when using a two by drivetrain. At least with road and gravel groups because on the 2x11 mtb groupset there aren‘t any.

Hey, Die Spikes haben nur auf einer Seite die Aufnahme für ein Innen-Sechskant-Schlüssel. Würde man die Spitze Seite nach oben zeigen lassen wollen könnte man diese nicht fest genug anziehen...

Hey, sry für die späte Antwort... Die Frage ist ob dir das Rad ansonsten gut gefällt und ob die von mir genannten Nachteile auch für dich gegen das Rad sprechen. Ich würde das Rad so nur empfehlen, wenn man keine Änderungen daran vornehmen möchte und nicht groß Upgrade will (Da das daran nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich ist und die Kompatibilität schlecht ist.) Ansonsten fallen mir nur marken ein von denen ich grundsätzlich viel halte und weiß das sie von Fachhändlern geschätzt sind ohne aber genau ins Detail gehen zu können. Zudem sind viele dieser Räder neu etwas über 2000€, gebraucht ist sonst natürlich auch eine Möglichkeit. Diese sind dann zwar natürlich nicht neu aber so wie es der Fahrradbranche momentan geht, sind womöglich höhenwertigere Komponenten Verbaut!. Diese sind z.B. Bombtrack (Modell: Hook bzw. Hook EXT), Kona (ROVE LTD), Salsa (Fargo), Tout Terrain (Vasco GT 28) oder von der Marke Patria (Tribos). Die Modelle sind nur Vorschläge, schau dir gerne alle Bikes dieser Marken an. Wichtig ist m.M.n. hydraulische Scheibenbremsen! Ich hoffe ich kann dir damit immer noch helfen, oder hast du bereits bei dem Angebot zugeschnappt? Cheers!

@@josefarnold2873 Das ist durchaus ein angemessenerer Preis für das Rad. Ich finde es aber auch wichtig zu sagen, dass der Online Markt nach und nach durch die so günstigen Preise die kleinen Fachhändler den Gar ausmacht und viele nach dem Kauf merken: "Oh ich habe das Rad zwar zu einem günstigeren Preis bekommen, ABER ich habe nicht die Vorteile die ich gehabt hätte, hätte ich das Rad bei einem lokalen Händler gekauft" (Ansprechpartner bei Reklamationen oder Fehlern, schneller Termine für Reparaturen, womöglich eine Kostengünstigere oder gar kostenlose Erstinspektion und weiteres mehr! Das ist durchaus was Wert und manche Händler lehnen Reparaturen an Fremdräder sogar ganz ab, was nachvollziehbar ist, da Sie diesen Preiskampf nicht gewinnen können!

Heute ist das GX500 mit versand für 1700€ eingetroffen und gleich den flex40 von Hebi verbaut was doch einiges an nacharbeit am Ständer erforderte. Da in dem Ständer eingestanzte Gewinde waren die mit der Flex entfernt werden mußten, danach stieß der Ständer an die Bremsscheibe was mit biegen beseitigt wurde. Jetzt steht es dauerhaft fest. Der Pletscher Ständer hat an meinen E-Bike nach einigen Kilometern angefanfen des Todes zu Klappern. Meine Freundin grinst auf dem GX500 im Kreis und ist hoch erfreut. Hat aber ausserhalb vom Geschäft noch keine Gravel erfahrung.

Hey, ich verstehe nicht so ganz deine Aussage mit der passendes Kadenz eines 1x12 Antriebs und dem Gewicht... Zum Eigenaufbau: Das Problem ist ja, dass der Rahmen nicht einzeln erhältlich ist. An sich wäre das super da er ja zudem eine Aufnahme für ein Schaltzug für den Umwerfer bietet und man somit auch einfach einen 2-fach Antrieb anbauen könnte. Ich verstehe dich so, dass man sich für gutes Geld ein anderes Rad aufbauen kann? Dem stimme ich zu!

Hey, I always first attache the Mount for the Ortlieb Fork Pack first and then the SKS Speedrocker mudguard without any problem. The other way around should also be possible, but I recommend to first attache the mounts in order to know where to place the clamps of the mudguard. I also use 3 screws to attache the mounts to my fork and I attache the lower clamp of the Speedrocker below and the upper clamp above the mounts. The only adjustment I have to make is on the left side of the fork I take the C-clips off in order to route the break hose a bit differently otherwise it is a bit in the way of the clamps of the mudguard. @@jeremyw.465I installed both yesterday on my bike. Kind of a problem is that the upper screw of the bracket covers ideal position of the front part of that fender. It hovers 3-4 cm above the tyre. The back part would be ok, as you can shorten the rods with a saw. But not much I can do about the front part. Bit unfortunate but still ok. Thanks for your reply!

Hey @@bekahride That is truly unfortunate... It may be that the tree screw on your fork sit higher up and therefor there isn't enough room for the upper attachment of the Mudguard... @@jeremyw.465Just watched your videos and yeah it's a bit unfortunate but still works with my 40 mm tyres on a Ghost Asket in XL. It's more like 3 cm clearance which still looks acceptable. Btw saw in October SKS will release a XL version of speedrockers for up to 52 mm tyres.

Ryde rims are the tanks of rims. They are nearly undestroyable and the DP19 is probably in production for over 20 years when the company was still called Alesa or Rigida. You probalby can run them tubeless but of course not officially. They are very cost effective and easy to build. I've done over 25.000km on Ryde Sputnik rims (19-622) with no loss and i'm way above 150kg of weight. Tubless is also a fad for many use cases as you must renew the sealant regularly, probably 2-3 times a year. That's a PITA for newbies and the will not do it until the have a puncture and the sealant fails during a ride. It's not user friendly.

Most steel bikes in the past had no routing for dynamo cables. I have bikes from Patria, Utopia, Razea and even a Bakfiets. They all use zip ties for th dynamo cable and not a single one broke. It looks cheap but it works. The pain points for lighning cable are in the back, either when conflicting with seat stays and racks or when routed inside the rear fenders.

Hey, those are the SKS Speedrocker Mudguards, they officially only work for up to 42mm wide tires, but I use them on 45mm ones and they still work great! Cheers!

True but the trailer weighs a lot more than the pannier bags and that’s why it does make a difference ;)

If you go on their website on "Mounts" and then onto "Cycle", you'll find the Out Front Mount and the Pro Version. Click on them and under "1. Select a mount / Pick a mount" choose the you want. I hope that helps ;)

Hey, the clamping as you said yourself is exactly the problem with carbon. Carbon is very weak when it comes to punctual force and easily breaks. That's why you might break it if you clamp it and load it up...

Hey, ich habe eine Innenbeinlänge von 81cm bei 175cm Körpergröße und fahre die 54cm Version, von daher kann dir die 56cm Version durchaus passen. 54cm sollte dir aber auch passen und dann würde ich es abhängig davon machen wie du gerne fährst. Möchtest du Touren machen und ein stabiles Fahrgefühl haben, dann würde ich dir die 56cm Version empfehlen. Möchtest du aber viel auf single Trails fahren und wendiger unterwegs sein, so ist die 54cm Version besser. Am besten kannst du beide abwechselnd fahren und dich dann entscheiden. Sonst kann man aber euch durch das Wechseln des Vorbaus oder Lenkers etwas am Lenkverhalten ändern, jedoch nicht an der Länge des Radstandes... Viel Erfolg!

I can totally understand you, the mudguard is not the most useful, true... The SKS Speedrocker are a good option, they have clearance up to 42mm but I use them on 45mm wide tyres and that also works.
