How To Make Creepy Halloween Music Soundscapes Effects
Просмотров 857Год назад
This video teaches how to take any song and with just a few tweaks turn it into low growling monster sounds that are perfect for a creepy haunted house. I prefer to take children songs and turn them scary because it's just so fun to hear how drastic of a change reversing and slowing down music can make.
Motorized Skeleton Rotating Rotisserie Spit (Cheap DIY Halloween Prop)
Просмотров 10 тыс.Год назад
This prop has been a favorite of people visiting my home haunt. Using a simple rotating motor and adding in a skeleton you get a pretty awesome effect. Plus the same principles used here can be scaled up to a larger version of this prop with stronger motors or applied to totally different props. Most of what I make I try and do using as much free scrap supplies as possible, so if you're into DI...

Cheap $1 Skull Mask Upgrade
Просмотров 1,3 тыс.Год назад
These Halloween skull masks are only $1 at Five Below and as-is they look pretty meh. But a super fast simple paint job really takes them up a notch to look like much more expensive masks. I used a dry brush and a wet brush technique on these. If you haven't done dry brush or wet brush techniques I'd give it a try and learn a new skill! It's a great way to add detail and depth to anything you c...
Slamming Cabinet Monster Prop (Cheap & Easy DIY Halloween)
Просмотров 1,1 тыс.Год назад
This was one of the first motorized props I ever made and a great way to unnerve people as they walk by. The slamming of the cabinet made a great sound and set them up for other scares in my garage walkthrough haunt. It would be a great first project for anyone wanting to get into working with motors for halloween props. The cam can be made out of wood or whatever you might have laying around. ...

How to Secure Foam Tombstone Halloween Decorations
Просмотров 2,5 тыс.2 года назад
My tombstones kept getting blown around my neighborhood whenever it was windy. Since some of them were a bit too skinny I came up with a way to windproof the gravestones by cutting out a notch in the back and then "glueing" PVC in place using Great Stuff spray foam. It worked fantastic for reenforcing everything. If you're using thicker foam you can probably just drill a hole and insert the PVC...

Nice
Love it. Simple, Yet very effective.
Thank you ….this is a great new addition for my graveyard this year. Beast part is I have everything on hand. Love it❤❤❤😊👍🏾
Absolutely making this...I have all the supplies including the wood and motor...this is on my weekend project list.😂Thank you...Great video.
Thank you, I have an idea that Im so excited to try ✨
Will this auto power on and auto play when power is applied to it? That way a timer can automate it? If not do you know of any small cheap projectors that could do that?
As far as I know not when power is applied to it. It powers on into a standby mode. But it can auto play after the power button is pushed. Someone asked this exact same question in a haunted group I’m a member of on Facebook a month or so ago.
interested to see how you set up an fm transmitter
Thanks for this! It really helped me in looking for a projector. One question. If you add videos like something for Christmas, does it also play that video on a loop?
I believe it plays any videos in that specific folder in a loop. I think you can loop single videos too. I usually put any videos I want to use in the root of the SD cars or USB drive is using and clear any other files off the drive or make a folder called “not used” for any videos I don’t want played and that has worked well for me on most projectors or video players like the Neumi 4K lite (my fav cheap video player/looper)
Great idea! Great how-to! Will definitely have to try this in my 2024 Haunt. --LJ
Fun... and the perfect project to use my old rotisserie motor for!
Great tutorial. It was short, but still covered everything.
What size bottles did you use?
Definitely going to give this one a try. Thank you for sharing ❤
Cleaver.. You need a Disney style poem on the headstone. Something like "HERE LIES BEA REATHING. SHE'S NOT QUITE DEAD, SO PLEASE STOP YOUR GRIEVING"
I just moved into my own house and found this a great idea. I will try this for next year as it is too close right now.
This is so clever!
Nice review! Great side-by-side comparisons. The combo of a good quality basic projector PLUS a great quality memory stick has me sold on this fairly inexpensive combo. The fact that it could also be used for Christmas and other holidays + parties and movie nights is an added bonus.
MUCHAS GRACIAS
Hello! We have a RUclips channel and would like to know if we could use some of your content from this video. Of course we'll give you a good credit for that which would give you hundreds even thousands of views bringing you more subscribers. Please let me know if that is OK? Thank you!
How do you make the headstone
These are quite a few tutorials out there but I should probably make one for my channel as well. I prefer to use the 2” thick pink insulation foam from Home Depot and then I cut it with a hot knife tool I bought on Amazon. For engraving the names on them you can use the hot knife, a dremel tool, or get fancy and use a laser cutter or CNC router. Then a heat gun to add texture, base coat of black paint (avoid spray paint as it tends to eat/melt the foam) and then another layer of gray paint, texturing paints, glue floral moss, or whatever other details you want and you’re done! Oh and don’t forget to drill a hole in the bottom, then insert PVC in the hole so you can put rebar in the ground and slide your tombstone onto that. I have a video about that part here on my channel. Hope that helps!
thank you@@digitaldecorstore7268
this is really cool. could you use big zip ties to attach the bottles to the pvc? i love this idea, i am going to try it out. thank you
For sure! As long as they don’t slip. I’ve seen people use duct tape as well and that seems to work pretty good.
What size pvc did you use?
I believe it is 1/2” PVC. That’s what most of these motors come with for the attachment. It’s also what I use for most props since it’s fairly cheap and also is the exact size to fit inside of pool noodles for other types of props.
How did you power it?
The motors come with a plug that has a power switch on it so I just used that.
@@digitaldecorstore7268 do you think it will lift a pallet if I use a couple motors? To make it look like it's breathing?
You would need a WAY stronger motor like a wiper motor or something else with high torque. These little synchronous motors are for very light weight projects.
GREAT!
Thanks! This video must have hit some recommendations in the algorithm or must be a tik tok about breathing grave props because I’ve been getting a lot more views here.
What a great tutorial and prop! So easy, yet memorable.
Glad you liked it!
Nice build. I would put the motor in a plastic take out container and run the wires out from there to protect the motor. seal the opening with silicone.
I found the black plastic covered it up really well and haven’t had any issues with rain or snow. But without the black plastic would for sure need some sort of waterproofing.
In the notes it says to press keys to change the look. None of the keys work for me. On a Mac. Ideas?
They've changed some things in Character animator and by default it puts you in "Starter" mode. In the top right corner of the window you will see the word "STARTER" in all caps. Click the icon next to that and it will have a dropdown that says "Which mode you you like to use?" With a button to "Stay in starter" and one that should be blue and says "Use Pro" Switch over to Pro and that should give you all the keyboard triggers (along with a lot of other controls). I'm not sure why Adobe chose to disable the keyboard triggers in starter mode, but apparently that's what they did. Let me know if this fixes the issue and if not I'll be happy to keep helping until we come up with a solution for you.
I regret that I have but one like to give this video
I do not know why RUclips decided to wait until now to show me this channel, but at least I've seen and subbed now
Glad you found it and subbed! Just a small channel trying to do some fun projects for cheap. I have probably 20 more videos I recorded over a year ago but haven’t been able to edit and post them. Got diagnosed with a pretty nasty stage 4 stomach cancer September of last year and just now am finally feeling like I might be able to get them edited. So hopefully I can deliver some new videos soon!
@@digitaldecorstore7268 I am sorry to hear your health woes, I'll think good thoughts in your direction and look forward to more wonderful videos. Above everything else, feel better.
Absolutely fantastic.
So freaking cool.
Thank you!!
You're welcome!
How do you get power to the motor? Sorry. We're very new to this! ha
Great question! The motors come with a power cable that you can easily attach. Has an on/off switch built in. The trick with doing it inside the cabinet is that you need to have an outlet in your cabinet (like often is the case in a kitchen above a microwave) OR make a hole so you can get a power cable out of the cabinet. Since these were garage cabinets I just drilled a hole in the back corner that I could drop the power cable down through. Hope that helps!
Hello what do you use for the red and Green light in the end of the vidéo ? They do a straight light that i’m searching. If you have link it would be great.
I bought mine on ebay by looking up “green line laser module” or “red line laser module”. The green color works best. They were around $40 each. Not all lasers are equal though. I bought one that was supposedly rated the same power as my others and it is probably 10% as bright. www.ebay.com/itm/404212630299?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=ejfbbmnlq4i&sssrc=4429486&ssuid=&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY That area of my haunt was actually pretty cool but didn’t show up on camera well at all! It was a laser swamp on the ground with spider webs all over the walls and ceiling and wrapped up bodies hanging as well as a few other animated props mixed in with scare actors. In the video it was so over filled with fog you couldn’t see anything on camera. Tried to do an outdoor laser swamp and it kind of worked but any breeze made it difficult. Best to do indoor and then figure out the balance on how much fog should be in the room. Hope that helps!
THANKS for sharing. I can't wait to make this !!!
Have fun!
No longer available...
Yeah they often change their inventory. Sometimes they will replace things with similar products that look different but basically have the same functionality. I actually later saw these exact speakers rebranded at a different store selling for like $25-$30.
Here’s a similar product that looks like it does the same thing plus is somewhat water resistant. www.fivebelow.com/products/blaster-bluetooth-ipx4-splashproof-speaker_2
There’s also this one that looks like the extract product I have in this video but in a different shape: www.fivebelow.com/products/top-handle-on-the-go-portable-speaker-w-bluetooth-fm-radio-mic-led-lights
Love it!? Gotta try
You should!
I LOVE THIS SO MUCH i saw your video a week ago and i decided to make this and ITS SO COOL
How’d it turn out?
How far into the tombstone do you recommend?
I usually do 8 inches sometimes more depending on how large the tombstone is.
I LOVE THIS! I am looking for a arm slasher style swing but 😳😍 Adding today!
Do you have a tutorial for raising an arm in a slasher style swing? I have 3 extra 5rpm motors I'd like to try something new to add to my set up.
Love it!!
Looks Great for the $ for Halloween. Thanks.
Can you show the joints? I’m not understanding how they work
Great job. This is exactly what I wanted to make. I have several of these motors so I’ll add mine to our raised garden bed graves. I can sort of dig it into the dirt a bit so it’s more flush. Way cool and cheap.
Sir your a genius!
this is great. can you use a battery to power this?
The specific motor I’m using in the video runs on AC power so you’d have to do some power conversion to get it to run on DC batter power. Probably be better off trying to find an equivalent DC motor instead so you don’t have to do any power converting.
What lengths are the PVC for the arms control sticks? I notice there is significant flex in in the pipe.
I think the total length of the arms is about 6ft including the forearm section. I'm using a lighter weight PVC rather than the thick stuff so it's not as heavy to fly around, but you're right it does tend to bend/flex. I actually prefer the flex because it makes the movement more smooth and gives it a bit more of a bouncy floating effect vs completely rigid control sticks.
LOVE this!! Thank you for sharing it!! If you need padding for neck strap, you could get one of those seat belt covers that velcro around the seat belt so it isn't cutting into your neck while you are driving.
great idea!
Dude, this is way freakin cool. WAY! Nicely done! Like shannondh83 said, "I did not know I needed a ghost puppet, but now I do."
Haha I totally relate. That’s how I felt when I saw the one that inspired this build. It’s also surprisingly simple to build but has such a great effect.
