This is the exact same complaint as "Not every Batman movie needs to tell the childhood part" and I completely agree.
They should do a pre new Vegas game, that takes place in Utah or airazona, when the NCR is barly expanding, and the desert rangers haven’t became united with the NCR, before the legion started forming, after the brotherhood went into hiding and enclave was originally destroyed, they should elaborate more on the raider and waster life style, the story of straglers, feinds, and the great khans! And I’d like to see more gunner lore, Bethesda should also bring back the karma system! And darker story telling, rape, murder, slavery, cannibalism’s, sadomasochism, tribalism, lust and greed, a fall out game based on the 7 deadly sins and how unity starts with one man making a choice to do better or watching the world burn by choosing to be like everyone else, as well as the effects or ghoulifacation imagine a fall out game ending where the player becomes a ghoul doomed to live eternity slowly decaying and going insane, a struggle of (Sew a side) and acceptance, for what is to let go and move on if not acceptance of that witch you can’t control! A game of pain! Before political prosper a game of survival horror in a world where there are no good guys, just people willing to do good things and survive! Like an OG desert rangers just a highway patrol man watching the roads to keep the stragglers safe hoping to help others make a living, or a fiend slowly killing and degrading themselves, numbing the pain and walking through life as if you will die tomorrow! Or the life of a murader taking what’s yours as you see fit and laying waste to those who do not kiss the ground beneath you and know there place as they should! A game of what comes after for the common man, not a story of someone special or significant just a story, that doesn’t matter in the grand scheme of things but flushes out life in the background of the other games!
To a point I can see the brother hood, or at least small factions of it being everywhere, as well as the enclave, the NCR seem better off as border control rather than main land USA, I would believe from Florida- Texas-parts of New Mexico and airazona-Vegas and California! With the bottom half of Mexico Utah and airazona being ran by raiders and legion and realistically a narco raider faction, but all up on the border would be NCR territory, the brother hood and enclave exists before the bombs dropped, and the enclave is US primary faction so I’d imagine they’ed be all over the US and parts of china! Sense in games china is the only communist enemy, witch is some what weird but that’s lore!🤷♂️ and the brother hood would be more like a policing unit or national guard, not a primary faction usually, but still prominent except 76 witch I don’t even consider canon personally! Even though the courier can change the out come of new Vegas, I Still thing Mr house runs Vegas strip for millennia! Even though he always dies in my play throughs!😜
I did the legion ending just to be evil, I even let Cesar die, so that lenius can take over!
I completely agree with the sentiments of the first half of the video. While I found the BoS in FO4 acceptable due to the Institute and the Prydwin, I don’t like them. Despite hating mutants and synths, I 100% think the BoS should be bad. They’re a tech hungry group who really couldn’t care less about humanity as long as the threat to humans isn’t on a huge scale. They care more about the ideologies of their group than others. I think the BoS is highly overused. I think FO3 BoS is dogwater, not to mention that whole game being bad. I can see why it’s popular, as it brings the fallout franchise into a 3D shooter. I like that. However, I’m a young guy but I love the lore of the games. I’ve played all the games except BoS. I think most of modern Bethesda FO games miss the point of Fallout. Which is why I think New Vegas is the best. Even before playing 1 and 2, I thought NV was the best. The Bethesda FO games essentially ignore faction ideas. The BoS should be a small west coast tech cult. There’s no excuse as to why the BoS would have a bigger footprint than the NCR. I would enjoy the games more if they respected their foundations. They need to ditch the Enclave entirely. A cool faction however they’ve now been, “wiped out” twice… come on. They should’ve never expanded on the BoS. They could easily had just made a prominent tech group that wears power armor who seeks to do good and I’d be completely fine with it. Basically Minutemen + BoS, but they won’t. They didn’t need Super Mutants in either FO3 or 4 for the game to be good. At least in 3 they kinda made sense. Honestly they need to go back to their roots, make it difficult, kinda creepy, grungy and gritty. The FO games have lost their edge. I think real world things like genocides and SA are difficult topics but fit perfectly within the FO world. They need to stop making factions so good. Things need to be tough and make the player question their actions. Are we really the good guys? Is this what we should be doing? Those are great themes. Although the original FO games had clear bad guys, which is fine, there are plenty of people the player can get involved with who ride the grey line. What is good and what is bad? FO shouldn’t be a good vs evil kind of game. Honestly I think you should be able to side with the villains, given the fact that you are free to make decisions. While playing FO2 I would think to myself, but is it that bad what the enclave is doing? From their perspective they’re saving the world and wanting to rebuild it. From the opposite you think they’re evil but for them they think they’re good. I love this. Even the institute has that. I actually like the idea of the institute and synths. You also have the option to join them. The good guys seem cringe in games like this because they’re not believable. While I can see the Minutemen and railroad being actually believable I don’t see their gain of power being believable at all. I like there being good people in the games but the factions with power shouldn’t be a good vs bad. That also kind of railroads the player into who they’ll choose. Take NV, either serve yourself and take control, serve Mr house and defy both armies, serve the NCR and spread their control or serve Caesar and enslaved the Mojave. All but the NCR, Caesar and House are self serving. House you stand to gain from, Caesar you gain power, NCR you help “democracy.” While at quick glances you’d say NCR are the good guys. Out of the three choices, yes, compared to actually being good? No. They’re corrupt and really only care about wealthy citizens of the NCR, absolutely uncaring towards non-NCR people. Caesar, is obviously just a bad guy but some of his stuff can be seen as a hard man in hard times. Take slavery and sexism out of the Legions ideology and I think more people would find an argument to say they’re kind of good. House is kind of just a self serving option that’s anti establishment so respectable, so is Yes man but the goal of Yes man is power for yourself. In all of these choices, you’re got a morally grey area. In FO4 you basically have two good guy factions, the misguided heroes and the villains who think they’re doing good things. Most people are obviously going to go with either the BoS, bc they’re good enough and have power armor, or minutemen/railroad. The show is terrible, lore wise.
ITS SO ASS ITS SO ASS ITS SO AAAAAAAASSSSSSSSSSSSSSS
goated video goated thesis even if you do paraphrase hbomb pretty liberally in your caesar part but HEY who really cares because it works for this video and the thesis fits for the videos theme!!! Keep making these videos and I enjoyed watching it
New Vegas fanboys hating on anything that isn't NCR or Legion:
The only reason to play Operation Anchorage more than once is the Gary glitch where you can get the sick looking balclava combat armour with infinite durability in the normal game
Money went to the heads of Bethesda. They had a good thing going and now? Their side project aka starfield was Dumpster fire and has firmly destroyed any hope people had for Bethesda as a studio
As much as I hate Maximus (and the show). A lot of his shenanigans can be explained by him having the idiot savant perk. Also I hate how people keep referring to Thaddius as a ghoul when clearly that wasteland doctor gave him some FEV.
32:37 it’s actually unfortunate how many people don’t understand this chalkboard. NV isn’t decanonized, if you pay attention to the NCR in NV they’re dealing with mass famine throughout California and obviously in the Mojave where their resources are even further stretched, while trying to prepare for the second battle of the Hoover Dam . The chalkboard implies that looking back they’re able to see the famines and downfall of their capitol started in 2277. The show DID swap the locations of Shady Sands and the Boneyard, which is unforgivable imo due to how important those locations are to early fallout lore, but by no means does the show decaconize NV yet, season 2 heavily implies it’ll show us a cannon ending for NV that will more than likely bring up real issues with the lore they could change.
You guys are just loathsome, even Tim Cain liked it, the guy who wrote this shit. Im a fan of F1 and F2, New Vegas is alright, and i still liked the show, it doesn't need to be 100% like the game, you can just play the damn game for that.
No one would have said a word if the events took place somewhere else, be it the Midwest, East or any other region for that matter. They just butchered hundreds of years of lore just for the sake of it, because hey, THIS IS A FALLOUT GAME AND IT IS SUPPOSED TO TAKE PLACE IN RUINS !! As for Tim Cain, any author would be greatly pleased to see their work on a wide screen, which is often a blinding feeling that doesn’t really allow to view the adaptation objectively (or maybe he just decided to state he liked it just on public).
It's insane how much hate this game gets, i had a blast playing it all
(2:02) the castlevania netflix also deserve a mention. It's the only I would say actually rivals arcane.
I agree with mosst of your video but much of the Fallout TV show critique had me wanting to click off. That has to be some of the most grating critique I've heard and as someone whose fav game is FNV, I finally see why some fans say they don't like us.
Love that this clown’s channel died lmao, bro tried to make right-wing slop content.
when new vegas 2
If Microsoft Brings back Chris Avellone, Josh Sawyer, and John Gonzalez and the rest of the team that made FNV to make another Fallout game. It’s the only way we will ever get another amazing Fallout game and never let Bethesda make another Fallout game.

Yes, you definitely do not understand why people liked this show.
Just give me something like New Vegas and im good. The other Fallouts except 2 blow ass

the show isn't canon either because it makes no sense
its way too goofy like it feels like a parody and feels generic
Since when has Bethesda cared about the Fallout lore?
that outro was a chef’s kiss 🤌🏾
If they ever do a remaster of fallout 3, I feel like they could at least add more factions to the game and make it slightly different
another baller video
I disagree that the Brotherhood is evil in FO4. And I wouldn't say that the Legion is purely evil either. The Legion is what the NCR deserves for becoming degenerate.
>pinnacle of game adaption movie Naaah that was Mortal Kombat from 1995. Nothing tops that movie.
fallout 5 : bos evil , ncr amazing , super mutants stupid, vault tec evil, enclave evil and no quests
the main group of fallout 76 is the responders
The Mutants Fallout 4 aren't a big issue tbh. The institute experiment with FEV on people they abduct from the surface and the dump them out when they're done. It's perfectly fine. There is a missed opportunity to have some "smart" mutants in Good Neighbor and having ralling Good Neighbor to take on the institute alongside the Minutemen. Doubles down on the Civillians vs underground organisation.
Truth be told, I can see a future Fallout where the NCR spreading from the west and Brotherhood spreading from the east meeting in the middle and clashing.
I’m surprised I wasn’t notified about this video, but I was notified about your Fallout reviews? It’s just odd.
Thanks for your opinion. I felt most of Infinite was a retread of what you had in the first two Bioshocks. You can’t really top what the first Bioshock accomplished in terms of plot, and so the other two Bioshocks do the same theme of becoming the “Big Daddy”, but Bioshock Infinite was an attempt at creating the Anti Rapture, but the gameplay was streamlined compared to the previous Bioshocks significantly, to the point where I really didn’t feel like playing the game again. However, I would recommend the original System Shock for those who like Bioshock. It’s not for everyone
I think you just need to lighten up mate 😊
video deserves more praise
please more fallout videos you speak for so many of us
I mean, be careful what you wish for. Fallout frontier attempted to make the "better" mothership zeta like space experience and we all know how that ended up lmao
Damn speak up dawg
Think we all agree that the DLCs seem to put more work into these DLCs story they have a deeper meaning as Fallout 3 had some nice DLCs that gave more to lore and story even if wasn't related the game (besides Broken Steel) Borderlands did a similar thing in 1 and 2 otherwise Fallout NV and 2 have mini DLCs for extra stuff to use in NV Gun Runners gave us more nice toys to play with which can help people if want some weapons to challenge the Dsathclaw hoards while Borderlands 2 Headhunter DLCs gave some side stuff to do in new maps and small details
The other thing is even though these characters and events have such a pervasive affect on the base game, not playing them doesn’t ruin the base game. too many dlcs now are basically the end of the game which you have to pay extra for
My ideal Fallout game would be a game where I can do anything
damn, a channel of professional new vegas dick riding, i thought we were over that when schizo elijah stopped posting

4:50 I simply must ask a source be cited for the claim we “know” the Chinese dropped the first nuke. From my understanding it was never answered definitively prior to the show who hit the button first, as the point was ultimately that the answer didn’t matter as the message of fallout is that we should’ve never gotten to the point where the threat of nukes was even an idea.
Fallout 2, when you meet the Enclave President, Dick Richardson close to the end of the game, he gives an account about how the Chinese launched the nukes rather than be conquered by American troops
@ I think an argument could be made for his account being unreliable. The enclave had spent a century to that point in deep seclusion, convinced that they would re-establish America, the greatest country to ever exist. It would make sense for them to believe the Chinese launched first as America being to blame for the end of the world would seriously fuck with their ideals. Granted, as the Enclave is pretty the only organization who existed pre-war and who would have actual records however sparse of the time, they still have some credibility. Which is to say, personally I don’t buy it but they are the only ones left to answer the question.
@@Br0Dud3 At first, it would seem that way, but in the opening of Fallout 4 it states on the News that there is a massing of American Troops in Japan and Taiwan to fully Invade China. That actually goes with what Dick Richardson said about “We were about to win”. They were about to win. The USA literally amassed a full invasion force to March in and land on the shores of mainland China. This is Bethesda Lore from Fallout 4. but what happened in Fallout 4 is that the game started with you literally there, living in the last hours before everything got nuked, a literal firsthand experience of what was going on in 2077. Now you can pick and choose whether or not to include Bethesda Canon, but that would make a literal video of all the details shown in Fallout games that China fired first. I do feel that what the Enclave did give was a glorified narrative similar to what we would see about movies about the American Revolution in earlier days.
Yeah the only way to enjoy this is if you turn your brain off and didn't care about fallout lore, then it's a decent enough show. Otherwise the show's writing is trash and even more inconsistent then Bethseda's own fallout. They couldn't even stick to their own lore and were so eager to destroy everything better writers of old Obsidian and interplay wrote. Might have been better if Fallout hired fanfiction writers, there are a lot of them that really care about fallout lore, unlike the writers of this show and Bethseda.
If Fallout show is the "pinnacle of movie adaptations" Then... movie adaptations have seriously hit the rock bottom if THATS what is considered a "pinnacle" these days. I mean, Fallout is okay i suppose. Clearly lore breaks are all over the place, but it's enjoyable enough if you shutdown your brain i suppose, but that doesn't make it a "pinnacle" it makes it tolerable at best. And if tolerable at best is considered "pinnacle" then dear god we're fucked.
If you didn’t balance Gary just right into the pod with you, you’ve started all wrong
Wasn’t the way you played these DLCs “inconsistent?”
