США
Добавлен 23 июл 2023
I scour back yards, junk yards and social media in several states and spend time buying, repairing, and selling, at a reasonable price, or trading dead cars.I have been doing this for over 50 years and am good at it.
If you are interested in one of the cars, you can email me at roadhogg1955@gmail.com.

My first car (thanks dad) was a red 1962 Impala SS, 2dr, 283, 2sd, bucket seats, black interior. It's One of several cars I wish I'd kept. ;-) The exuberance of youth starts catching up with you around your mid forties and really become bothersome in your sixties, though that's my opinion, my health has been poor from birth. Yes, their was a pickup bed similar to that, but I can't remember what their called, but it was either a model or an option? Alas, no Corvairs. ;-D
Your car had the best look of all of those 60’s Chevys. Beautiful cars!
I have a 64 Impala SS I got from a junk yard and put over 100k into the thing in 7 years ...Its pretty much like getting now into a new car
Wow! I’ve owned three 64’s and one 63 back in the day. Those were running $150 cars back then.
The punch buggy punched 👊 itself!😂😂😂😂😂😂
Right in the bonnet as the English guys say.
Awesome job. I've heard the Rust-Oleum tractor paint does not even need a clear coat; is Rust-Oleum professional just as good? Can you get away with just a good buff and polish afterward?
Well we found out that the the tractor paint needs more than one coat. We were experimenting basically and once it dried it was very dull. Tried to buff it and went down to previous brown color :(. As far as clear coat goes I’m not sure.
43:32 I looked up some picture for that '67 Buick, to get an idea of how it would look like restored, but couldn't find any. The only Buick that came close was a Buick Wildcat. I really like the style of that one. Feel free to reply with exact year, brand and model of the car at the timestamp. And good luck with the channel!
I’m just guessing on some of that stuff. I leave the correct year and details to you guys. Steve magnate could research the VIN and tell you all about it.
Gas car always run. And if they don't you can buy parts for them. You don't have to charge them or wait in line for a charger. They are simple , robust and you can drive them in the rain.
True.
Your local library probably has a Chilton's or other such book that probably has the trick you need. I used this for years back in my poverty days to keep my old junk going. I lived in Salina Kansas pop 45000, and we had a good library.
I just google everything today.
That vw looks nice, but those brakes are a crazy looking setup, don't know what the engineer was thinking. That's a bummer the hood flew up, hopefully you can use a hammer and dolly to fix it. Today I took the hood, front fenders, and grill off my 54 m38a1 jeep, now it's ready for paint, which will be after i get everything else done mechanically. G-d bless.
Thank you n god bless you too.
Hi I’m Collin from Liverpool in the uk I think the best way to repaire it wood be a new bonnet and where the paint chips of just use wet and dry paper till it levels out then prime it and respay the chipped parts and repaint the new bonnet after priming it Ps great job and great video s to

Right hand drive car your driving.
I had the screen flipped around.
I bet these cars could tell some stories about the drive-in movies....
Oh you know it!
I count 2 for sure, possibly 3 59 impala biscayne. Did you buy them ??
No I have no use for them. I’m too old for rebuilds.
I used to paint with PPG and Dupont, but the stuff got too dang expensive. Here's what I'm doing from now on. I'm using epoxy primer as the basecoat and putting 30 dollar a gallon u-pol clear coat over it. You can get white, black, grey or red epoxy primer and once you clear coat it, nobody will ever know it's primer. Doing it this way, you sand and mask one time, spray the epoxy primer, then put the clear over the wet epoxy, and you got yorself an easy paint job without having to sand the car, then primer, then sand primer, then remask. I used to use 3 stage PPG, where I sanded once, then sprayed epoxy primer, basecoat and clearcoat.
I’m going to look it up. Thank you sir.
@@DEADCARRESCUE You're welcome my friend.
Sounds like you have diabetes, you should get tested, if your not taking care of it, it will kill you, i have had diabetes 21 years, i found out when i was a roofer in florida, you toes go numb, your legs feel fatigued, that's diabetes, and it sucks, i was in fantastic shape when i had a hear stroke and was running 700 blood sugar😐
I’m not diabetic I know but I have skinny bird legs like my brothers and my mom. I’m a retired trucker who’s sit on his ass 28 years. Didn’t walk a whole lot either. Just let the truck work mostly.
Goats destroy cars its Arkansas not California so dont drive up the price
$700 for any car was pretty cheap for some. Others not worth digging out if they were free.
Hi, youtube suggested your channel, so i decided to see what treasures are at the classic bone yard. I partially restored a 66 impala ss convertible back in 07, but i got hurt, and was off work for almost a year, and i had bill's to pay. I had a lot of time and money in that car. I have progressive MS, and muscle wasting on my entire left side. My dr. said i needed to be as active as i can to keep the wheelchair away. I bought a 1954 m38a1 jeep willys, and it's never been titled, the original owner bought it from a governot auction in the 80's, and drove it on his summer property in Northern Michigan. He didn't tear out the 24 volt parts or wiring, but did paint the exterior and awful dark burgundy. I will be sanding it down, and painting it the original olive drab. My grandpa let us drive an old 67 mule around the farm, and he had an old army jeep for awhile to. I have always wanted a wwll jeep, because both my grandpa's fought in the war, but up north there's a lot of rust. I got a sweet deal on this 54, and it has the f engine, so i drove about 80 miles, and had it brought home on a flatbed back in the first week of April. Thankfully it only sat a couple year's without running. I put two batteries in yesterday, and all the light's and gauges work, and it turned over and cranked evenly. I rebuilt the carb, but could have tried it, because it was really clean inside. Supposedly this jeep has 37,000 original miles. The brake shoes, drums, wheel cylinders, and master cylinder are all original. I was really surprised, because the radiator is original, with no patches or rust. The gas tank had a thin spot, and leaked after i filled it with water and degreaser, so thankfully i found a new one pretty cheap , and just as heavy as the original. It was cheaper to buy a tank than to go through the process of patching, and sealing the thin metal inside the tank. The seats have the original cushions and covers in good shape, think the mileage might be accurate. The man who owned it passed away, and his daughter sold it to me, i think she sold it cheap because she didn't know much about it, and it had been sitting outside over the winter uncovered, and i think it scared people from coming to see it. The guy who brought it to my house wished he'd have known it was for sale, because he would have bought it. He looked it over, and said i got a good deal, he wants me to send him picture's when it's done, and said he would buy it i decided to sell it. I don't plan on selling it, already have a lot of time and money in it, and I'd probably never find one this nice, at a price i could afford. My dad and grandpa taught me how to fix thing's, and build stuff as a kid, even though i'm a girl, because my brother is a lot younger than me, so i became the helper pretty young. Back in the 70's and 80's, cheap child labor was common lol. I learned a lot, and have fixed stuff all my life, and its saved me a lot of money. Sorry i rambled, but most of my family have passed away, and i don't have anyone to share my enthusiasm for restoring this old jeep. G-d bless.
Well it sounds like you know a lot about mechanicals and such. Sorry to hear about your health problems , I’m 68 and this you tube channel keeps me from laying around in the house all day. I wish I could put a video out every week but right now it’s going to have to be every other week. I just don’t have the energy at 68 years old. Keep doing as much as you can and tinkering with your toys lol. Thank you for watching and subscribing to my channel. Keep in touch and comment any time you like. I’m looking for more old car junkyards around me to video so stay tuned.
If only my family was this enthusiastic about burnouts
I taught my children and most of my grandchildren how to drive out on these gravel roads here in rural Arkansas. This one , We call her AG is 17 now and loves driving any junk vehicle I drag in. This truck was just a dirty old beater that was the perfect tool for teaching her.
Looking for a one ton 4x4 international truck
I can’t help you on that.
Guaranteed it won't be her last burnout! 👍👍
You’re right about that.
Making old granddad proud
Yeah she did. She raced one round at our local track when she was 14.
@@DEADCARRESCUEditto...can't do that with a EV. VOLT..... The line. Continues
The point is what? To get a new set of tires?
It’s a junk truck I bought for parts. It was for the FUN!
BAHAHAHAHAHAA BAHAHAHAHAHAA GRANDDAD TAUGHT HER WELL
I enjoy seeing their faces. ;)
I wonder why, the transmission quit working???
That transmission is fine. The red one had the issue.
Impressive grandpa nice burnt out. Do it again. 😅

Yep
Stop doing that or I'll send Greta to your house
Well done
She done good didn’t she Fred. Lol
what was the mixing ratio for the paint ????
Not sure, I’m a grinder guy not a paint guy lol
Wish I was there 😊 thats raising them right, she loved it I bet❤
You will see that truck again soon on my RUclips channel.
Better gas mileage 😜? Because now there's less friction between the tires and the road. 🤣
For sure! And she will remember that burnout forever. :)
@@DEADCARRESCUE wow that was a quick reply.
Awesome ! But at least now he can afford a new set of tires 😂😂 ! Loved the video . Greetings from south east Alabama USA ☮️❤️
It was a $800 truck I bought a few days ago and we had a blast doing burnouts.
@@DEADCARRESCUE cool this kind of thing is what keeps us young. I’m 66 years old now but still love going fast in my 1993 Miata with the top down . Hope all is well with your family and friends ☮️❤️
I drive my wife crazy racing young guys from stop lights in my Ram lol. I’m going tomorrow to buy two rear tires as a matter of fact. The front tires still look new for some reason. ;)
@@DEADCARRESCUE thanks for the reply. I am 66 years old now and drive a 1993 Miata automatic . My legs are too long shift in a Miata. I have a 02 ram work truck but I have never tried a burn out on it 😂 . I just bought a 91 Miata that is a rescue from under some oak trees for 5 years. These little cars don’t have much horsepower but they are so light they are a blast to drive ! Keep the videos coming . I will share as much as I can to promote your channel . hope all is well with your family and friends . Roll tide ! ☮️❤️

I had a 4 door with a 289 in it. It was my favorite car. The paint was the same color as yours. It was beautiful. Seems a shame that someone let this one go to hell.
I sold it to a guy who’s going to pretty it up.
goodness me if i am on C,E,T you must get up with the birds
It’s from being a truck driver all those years I guess. In order to sleep all night I have to take sleeping pills before I go to bed. It’s a curse.
i used to think like that also butt saves you alot of money on home alarm systems i found out i drove alot thank goodness i had hundreds of sleeper bay hours under me before i ever started driving
as kept thinking theres got to be a better way so i went into taxi limo so i got lucky worked for the same family over 20 years that was nice so nice
have a great day pal headed to a mega compost pile to dig dig filter fluff and spread out weeeeeeee
Okay you got me! Hilarious thumbnail. Reversing the video, that's clever.
I’m always looking for something weird to do like that. Always thinking lol
@@DEADCARRESCUE keep it up man. I'm going to check to make sure I'm subscribed to your channel and if I'm not I'm going to subscribe now. But I like doing similar things. The creative stuff. It'll bring in a great number of reviews for my channel. I've was pulling a dent side Ford out of a marshy yard actually and I showed the other guy how I wanted it filmed. What I ended up with it looked like a Ford truck until the very end and you realize it's a pick up bed trailer. Had many many compliments on the creativity. And all I was trying to do was show that nice shiny truck spoke Tire how far it was in the ground. How easy are difficult it would be to pull it out. And my super duty just walked right out with it. It loses something but pictures worth a thousand words. I found something that's working and I'll share it with you. Abandoned gas ⛽ stations. The first three or four I put did not get any traction. But ever since then they've been right up there with my best video view numbers. And occasionally I'll go look at one in the dark and I got this brawn 6000 lumens spotlight. People eat that up too. It just kind of fun being a little creative here and there. The spotlight is rechargeable it's very handy very bright and it is about $50 at harbor freight. Have a great day
