All this why installing a freaking awesome catch can, by a company that has done some some real science and quality testing on high horsepower machines. @MotionRaceworksOfficial this can and kit was just the ticket for my setup, thank you.

      @@GorhamWorks how are you liking that blueprint 540 engine? I'm thinking about getting one. I have a 496 big block in my '68 Impala. It makes around 600 foot pound of torque. Do you think it would be worth the engine swap? Thanks

    • @GorhamWorks
      @GorhamWorks 13 дней назад

      I really am very happy with the engine. Advertised, I think it was suppose to be 670 hp and 660 ftlb. It came 708 hp and 699 ft/lbs. Big win even before unpacked the crate. I think the Impala was around a 4000 lb car, another 100 ft/lbs would be a jump. For the street, Id be hesitant. Especially if it runs good, hooks up, and you drive it a.lot. It is hard to take a good running machine off the road. 600 ft/lbs from 496 to that weight class is a healthy power to weight ratio. But I won't deny torque is a good drug and we only live once. If the driveline and frame can take it, you won't be sad with another 100 ft/lbs. The drawback besides the investment in the parts and installation time. They're same deck height, in theory your accessories should swap over. The 540 moves the 4300 lb truck around like it's got a nuclear reactor under the hood.

      Your truck with that short wheelbase would be very spicy sporty… Careful, I did the front axle and it’s such a difference. I want to do a coil over convert on the rear axle now.
