Guitar, drums, piano and bass performed by me, Andrew Downing. All music written, produced and recorded by me unless noted otherwise. While the listener/viewer will find a wide variety of musical genres on my channel, I feel most authentic as an instrumentalist, blues guitarist. Drums were my first love and the instrument I have performed live in concert most. Since retiring early from my realistic quest for the National Hockey League, (two major shoulder surgeries and concussion problems), music and art has been my passion and often therapy. These days I teach around 30 private music lessons per week and this professional career is the driving force, source of creative energy behind my music channel on RUclips. I write music during lessons quietly as much as possible. Thanks! This material is not my wheel house and represents years of trial and error. Not easy to prepare full band arrangements from scratch that sound really good…and perform all the instruments/engineering. A team of artists is preferred!!

What did you record this on?
Hello! I use Presonus studio 1- version 4. Audio box i2- On this album collection I used a pretty extensive collection of acoustic and electric guitars. Most of which I no longer own. I use them and then trade for something else. I don’t have the budget of a rockstar:). I have a 1976 Gibson Les Paul Standard that will always stay however

Just a little ant chasing the sugar:). I do enjoy pushing myself to the limit. If I wasn’t teaching 30 music students a week I don’t think I would still be doing this. To enjoy teaching and to be a good teacher I need to learn and grow personally and it’s impossible not to think about music or songwriting while teaching week after week
