fixing stop leak issues just say no to stop leak people.
Have someone push the accelerator while you look at the hose
How did you learn that the hose was collapsing? I mean mine hesitates between 30 and 50 mph. How were you able to see that?
Check the spark plug gap needs to be 28. Don't trust that they are prepared check and recheck. And check the intake there is a hose that goes from the top if intake to turbo check and see if there is a flap in that hole if it is missing need to replace intake
The CAT both
My cruz is doing this, but it is also sucking gas like crazy, I filled it up before work this morning and it used a quarter tank to get home, literally only drove 25 miles, I can smell gas occasionally, what could it be? Its a 2019
@jamielea5801 fuel pressure sensor. Super cheap and super easy to fix. Then change your gas cap and let me know how that works. It will fix the problem unless you have a misfire
How much is the part I’m having the same exact problem
@kayericsmoketv1631 before anything change the fuel pressure sensor
@@louski7927 I just checked the hose is soft asf
@kayericsmoketv1631 i promise save you some cash go with the fuel pressure sensor, maf sensor if that don't work change the hose
@@louski7927so are you saying the hose wasn’t the problem the sensor was?
@quentyncole9530 I'm saying to look into your issue mine was the hose but after fixing the hose you will find other issue. Good luck
Was the hesitation when you got on the car? Like merging into traffic?
@@jasondelo4354 yes
Or trying to pass to best describe initiatives only happened when pushing the accelerating pedal the code i was getting p0420 but the problem was actually the fuel pressure sensor. I never got a code for it I just replaced all the sensors and when I got to the fuel pressure sensor the problem stopped
@@louski7927 wow what a pain in the ass. My kids 2016 Cruz has that issue. Shutters when you get on it and then smoothes out. Went to Autozone for a diagnostic check and no codes came up.
What is the name of the hose intercooler hose?
2014 Chevy Cruze diesel get little bit of boost from the turbo
Great vid dude. I have a 2011, 1.4 turbo. Daily driver. The best thing I like on my Cruz is the windshield wiper pump. As always someone riding on my ass will get pumped. Once I turn it on the asshole behind backs off and and now he is using his wipers. Works every time.😂
Mines a 14 too. Mine has a few issues. It putters bad (hesitation) when i accelerate. So far nobody can figure it out and now it's having a issue where when i try to start it up at times, it acts like the battery is dead but if i turn it a time or two it'll fire right up. Starter is probably going out but i don't know much about cars. Help please if you can. Mine is breaking down all the time. I can't afford to save for a new car because I'm always fixing this one... I can't take it
@bobwhite611 try the fuel pressure sensor.
I'm going to try this and hope it fixes mine. Either way thanks for posting
This helps
Thanks for the video,
I changed out my mass airflow sensor and purge valve and my car still jurking and not giving enough acceleration . I have a appointment to get it checked out with the dealership Wednesday. Any tips ? I mean my car doing the same thing . Hopefully its not too expensive to fix the problem or im screwed! Lol
@@TheSugaryFlamingo keep us posted on what they tell you.
I am having similar issue, the chev Cruz 2016. I change the evap solonoid and changed plugs, engine light is gone but it still jerks just before stoping. Other thing I noticed my antifreeze coolant level slightly lower I had to refill twice in a year.
Is it the Turbo Bypass Valve Membrane Diaphragm you replaced ?
@markkiernan8007 yes...thank you kindly for taking the time to watch the video and helping out
I own one you gotta drive this car like SpongeBob, big toe push slow to the floor
Thank you man
No problem
In your video you say you took the cover off and fhe flap was torn. A intercooler hose doesnt have a flap, its a hose. Im trying to figure our what you reolaced. Can anyone say what he actually replaced. The wasgate a tuatoe is the top piece amd he was saying its below that.
There is a rubber diaphragm under the plastic piece that can tear
I have a Chevy Cruze as well but mine is a 1.8L engine. I had this exact same code 2 years ago. It was 2 things I had to replace: My canister purge solenoid and eventually my MAP sensor. Very easy fixes. I was only able to figure this out when my car started throwing other codes and showed symptoms of rough idling and sometimes stalling out completely. After replacing my MAP sensor, I never saw the code again.
did the map sensor throw the code?
Word? Cuz my 1.8 is doing the same thing rn. I tested everything and it’s good except the EGR valve. It’s failing… causing my car to stall out sometimes after I fill up
that hose should not collapse because it's under positive pressure from the turbo outlet under acceleration it has to be flexible due to engine moving..
The hesitation is the turbo building boost and can be lessened by tightening the wastegate in more to achieve boost sooner
Has anybody found a better material hose for this ?
Actually this happened with me in my bike when i had it after the piston change..i tried everything to fix it But a year later i found out the timing was off slightly It had a good compression but due to the timing it stuttered when i give it more gas I mean i dont know about your fuel injection cruze and turbo But my single cylinder pulsar had this problem......it was like it sturred badly when i give it full gas Hope this helps
The Chevy Cruze diesel running like shit and turbo not stools
Good video whatever bro 👍
I’m having the same problem but no engine light on. I push the foot on the gas pedal and the car doesn’t take off right away.
Did this happen after the engine had warmed up, or all the time?
Dude lost all credibility points with a blunt. 😂
@ENZautomotive sorry medical Marijuana patient .
Do you have to remove the plastic shielding under the car to remove the passenger fog light cover?
I didn't but it is recommended.
@@louski7927 so I can just pry out the fog cover? Wasn't sure if there's a screw holding the passenger side cover in or not. Thanks for the response.
@xolDante look under the bumper their is a flap that is made for the air box you can remove that and put your hands in there comfortably
@@louski7927 cool. Thanks man 👍
dumbass videos never actually show the NOISE so we can’t tell if it’s the same problem
I will try this my car been in the shop for 2 months trying to get rid of this code. I replaced the Cat the O2 the Turbo and still there.
It could be also just be a air leak check all hoses to the intake manifold under it and there are a few sensors down there you might want to replace
@@louski7927will it also make your car hesitate while driving
Thanks for this video. I really needed this. I am driving my mother-in-law 's. Chevy Cruze. Same hesitation. No engine light. The hesitation is very noticeable between 35 to 50 mph. The hose is very soft and I am going to be replacing it thanks to your video. This was really stomping me. I was checking everything. I ordered the hose from RockAuto. Should be installing it soon... Did you remove your bumper or did you do it from the top by feeling for the bottom clip? Thanks again!
Did it fix yours?
???? Fixed????
Does your car run better ?
Yes this also fixed my problem. I also had pregnition which took away from the performance as well, so I had 2 problems instead of just a soft hose.So once you replace this hose, if you still notice just a little more hesitation, do a Lucas fuel system cleaner. And use quality top tier gasoline to prevent from carbon buildup. Once the the cleaner does its work on the injectors and combustion chamber which takes at least a half a tank, that's when I noticed everything was returning back to normal .The carbon robs performance. of course, once I replaced the hose acceleration was strong and brisk but it was not perfect like I knew it was before. I wanted it fully restored back to top performance and I'm happy to report that all is well. I purchased a big bottle of Lucas so I used half a bottle and still have half left. I filled up with 93 octane on the 1st cleaning. On the second cleaning I went back to 87. 93 stops most of the pre-ignition. And I believe it helped clean the engine faster. So the timing would not be retarded thus cutting power. Hence cutting RPM...
@@natashalopez7765 Yes this fix my problem but I also had to do a fuel treatment, I posted a big reply that you can read through. Just visit the comments
how many miles did your car have on it at the time
130,000
Diverter
Part # for the hose?
Lower intercooler hose
Think I could know what the hose is called or where you ordered yours?
What is it
Electr. Gas pedal O sensor pressure the combustible
Was it throwing white smoke from the exhaust as well?
No smoke
If you have smoke you might have blowback.
I’m over here like MF get to the point! haha thanks for the video man
I’ve had a few of these with a bad lifter causing one of the valves to not open. Because it has 2 intake and 2 exhaust valves per cylinder the engine runs fine at lower speeds and lower load on the engine but at higher loads/speeds that cylinder isn’t getting enough airflow with only one valve.
Did it hesitate to accelerate or take off when you were at a complete stop?
Take off and sometimes during driving
Did you find out what the name of that peace was
It's the turbo waste gate.
Mine is saying stabilize trac
If it comes on and off replace the ground terminal cable for your battery
I had that same message popping up randomly. As crazy as it sounds it was the intake manifold, there's a valve that goes bad inside the manifold which also causes to damage another valve located on the engine valve cover itself.
He is talking about the turbo vacuum actuator
Cruze and Sonic are JUNK cars
Was there any smoke from muffler or any hesitation when driving?
No smoke but lazy taking off and massive hesitation when pressing the gas pedal
my car jerks at idle but is fine while i’m driving any tips?
Mines a 1.8 and does this sort of bucking every few seconds when idling, sometimes soft sometimes rough but goes away as soon as I start driving.
Hello my friend. I have a 2912 Chevy Cruze. When I start the car and hit the gas pedal, it doesn't want to accelerate. Was that the same problem you had? Please respond. I am desperate
No but it sounds like your turbo is done
Nice work bro. I've got a 2l diesel doing the same thing. I'll take a look.
