We're Sarah and Bryan Carroll, and we help you to become Adventure Ready! We share outdoor adventures, gear reviews, and fitness tips so you are ready for your own adventures.
Unlike most channels who use a piece of gear once then do a video on it, we actually consistently use our gear BEFORE giving our review. We don't want our opinions on gear to be influenced by 'how much money we can make' or 'what brands we can appease'. If the gear is awesome, we will say it, and if it isn't, we say so!
We're located in Washington State, and our favorite outdoor activities are: Hiking, Backpacking, Snowboarding, Packrafting, and Rock Climbing. We're not trying to be the best at any specific activity but we enjoy them all the same!

Backpacking to a Secret Lake No One's Talking About | George Lake
To cool down from the heat, we backpacked to George Lake. Now if you look up George Lake, most of the trail reports are for a different George Lake located near Gobbler's Knob.
This George Lake is located near a different Knob peak, which the peak gets really busy. However there is a back entrance to this lake where you'll likely not see a single person the entire time.
Over the weekend, we saw only 1 person at the lake and he kept to himself. This was probably the quietest alpine lake we've been to in years!

Solo Hiking Bean Peak to Devil's Head to Beverly Turnpike Loop
Просмотров 827 часов назад
There's a lot of good hikes in the Teanaways, and with all the trails around you can turn one hike into a loop. I decided to hike to Bean Peak and then continue on to Devil's Head, and then come back down the Beverly Turnpike Trail. This loop is about 10 miles in length with roughly 4000' of total elevation gain, so you get a decent workout in with this hike! The views are stunning as well from...
Mountain Biking at Paradise Lake for the First Time
Просмотров 51День назад
As I continue to get used to riding a mountain bike, I went over to Paradise Lake to test out their mountain bike trails. I was actually surprised that the trails were a little more technical than I expected! These trails have tons of roots, but what I didn't realize is that there are dedicated mountain bike trails further back. Those trails have some bridges and jumps built onto them and look ...
This Rafting Program is Literally Saving Lives and Improving Mental Health

My buddy Ranger Scott is one of the instructors for the Warrior Adventure Quest and needed some extra hands for a rafting trip along the Wenatchee River. Who could turn down a free rafting trip?! This was the final training run before Warrior Adventure Quest started doing trips with soldiers and the public. They have a really neat program which we talk about in the beginning of the video. If yo...

Hiking Around the New Rockslide Near Copper Lake | Alpine Lakes Wilderness
Просмотров 14128 дней назад
Copper Lake is one of my favorite lakes on the west side of the Alpine Lakes Wilderness. With recent rains, there was a huge rockslide that impacted Trout Lake and the outflow. This may be the earliest in the season I've ever been to Copper Lake, and it was very pretty and quiet. I prefer it right now compared to later in the summer time with all the crowds! GEAR USED IN THIS VIDEO: New Outdoor...

Trying Mountain Biking for the First Time in 20 Years
Просмотров 53Месяц назад
After 20 years, I am back on a mountain bike and trying to ride some single track. I'm used to walking uphill but I'm sure trying to ride a bike uphill will be tougher than I expect. There's quite a few trailheads that will be more accessible via mountain biking, so I'm excited to have that as another means to get out further for our trips. WE'RE BACK! Stevens Pass Opening Day 2023
Me about to reduce the speed on this video 😅😅😅 🫠
😂😂
You need to dump the tent and get a free-standing ..nemos are lightweight
Nemos can't stand the weight of snow or high winds. Lots of areas we camp have winds that'll tear up the Nemo.
Great shots of the scrambles on Bean! So nice to have a better idea of what im signing up for so thanks for sharing!
There was one scramble section I did that I realized afterwards I could've gone around, but once on top of Bean there's really no more scramble sections if you are going to Devil's Head!
@@SummitForWellness good to know! Thanks again!
Outstanding scenery man, this looks amazing!
Thanks, it was a fun one to do!
Is it easily tearable
Nope, they are really durable. The weak point is if there's wood facing upstream and you run into it, but haven't had that issue yet
@@SummitForWellness very cool! One more question, do you think I could fish inside it
@@stone8306 definitely, they have different models as well so you can figure out what will work the best for fishing, but if you want an open deck model they have that, the one I have you can unzip the deck so it is open, or you can have it like I do for whitewater. If you plan on fishing in flatwater only then the have some lighter models so you don't have to carry as much weight. Just gotta be careful with that hook!
I could definitely use a good set of JOGGER pants now that its warming up out here!
Jogger! Can I wear them mountain biking? :)
I have!
Jogger! Looks great!
Great Video! 💜
JOGGER - Thanks I was thinking of getting a pair of these - but wondering about the real breathability - so looked for a review
I'll be drawing the winners on Wednesday so hold off because you could win!
Most Doctors only know what their were taught from the Government , and the G want you Dead.
These JOGGER pants will be perfect for sunny Southern California in the fall and spring. I just can’t handle pants here during the summer… Will use your link to order a pair.
I was in Joshua Tree last June, the heat and sun intensity was brutal! I don't think anything helps in those conditions except going early in the morning or late at night...
I have a pair of the skyline jogger on order. Will use on the Colorado Trail as part of the OV Challenge.
That's awesome! Are you planning on doing the entire Colorado Trail or a section of it?
@@SummitForWellness just doing Denver to Breckenridge.
For joining the livestream and interacting, I'll send you a pair as well for your upcoming trip! Send me an email at info@summitforwellness.com and I'll get those shipped out to you!
@@SummitForWellness many thanks, just sent you my contact info
Such a beautiful scenery man, great upload!
Thanks, I love that area, it's one of my favorite areas to play in!
Jogger 🏃 I want something exactly like this for warm weather to keep the UV off my skin. My Prana synthetic hiking pants are pretty warm and weigh 15 oz., more than twice what these weigh! Looking forward to trying these.
Those are some heavy pants! I thought 11oz was heavy and sweaty. You'll probably feel much more comfortable in something lighter during the hot season.
@@SummitForWellness the weight is worth it for many use cases as they have proven an extremely durable product. They are 7 years old and still going strong. Buying durable products is a very good thing both environmentally and financially! The lack of durability in the ultralight movement is concerning. Most backpackers care about (or certainly should) our environment yet we are buying products that don’t last as long so it requires us to more frequently replace them. Running shoes vs hiking boots comes to mind as a prime example. Replacing the less durable gear more frequently requires more extracting of resources from the natural world, energy consumption, and carbon emission, thus harming what we all love. My ideal gear is not the absolute lightest BUT something that is a nice balance of light weight yet durable. We should also press manufacturers to follow the Patagonia model of closing the circle requesting their gear back for repair services and ultimately end of life recycling ♻️.
JOGGER pants seem like a nice compromise between shorts and heavier tech pants. I have found some tech pants way too restrictive in the knee. Bet these pants would also be good for casual cycling. Several years ago, I wore baggy knickers while climbing. They had many advantages. No knee restriction. Easy to use with crampons. Warm when needed, but with the knees unbuckled and socks rolled down, they had lots of ventilation. But the wool fabric was far heavier than needed. Would really like to see a Jogger version in a similar cut.
With a slightly baggier/larger version like what I wore, I was wondering if it would be problematic while biking. I should try that later this week and see.
Nice report, thanks for the info!
It's a beautiful area! Wait a few weeks and Big Heart Lake will be easy to get to, but the crowds will get worse. Or go now and hopefully the crowds are minimal. It's a tough choice!
@@SummitForWellness for sure! Everything up there is a little borderline right now.
JOGGER - thank you for the review. They look perfect for hot weather hikes.
The vents on the sides definitely help to reduce heat a bit!
Jogger! I’ve been interested in these ever since I noticed them on some of the OV youtube videos during testing.
Awesome review on this JOGGER. I'm totally with you with the rear pocket. Just get rid of it already!
And add zippers to the front pockets!
New subscriber to the channel!! Great video!! JOGGER
Thanks and welcome to the party!
@@SummitForWellnessyou’re welcome and we are glad to be here!!
Nice “JOGGER”! Would love to use on my 100 miles challenge!
That would be the perfect way to top off the 100 miles challenge!
@nicolemalinowski5960 you won one of the pairs of pants on our giveaway! Please send me an email at info@summitforwellness.com and if you could take a screenshot of your RUclips profile so I can verify it is you, then I will send you your pants! Congrats!
Great Video! Thanks Im headed to the CT shortly will have to try these, have Fabletics but they aren't "AIRY" lol
Yes if you need ventilation the Fabletics won't provide much!
JOGGER I’ve been eyeballing these pants for the Centennial Trail in July
The giveaway is perfect timing for you to potentially win these for your hike! May the odds be ever in your favor!
I was pretty much sold on these just by what Tayson said about them. This vid confirms my first thoughts. They are priced about 10% below the MSRP right now for a limited time. The only caveat is durability. No free lunch people!
Definitely no free lunch! I will gladly take a hit on durability for something that I can actually hike for hours in and not die from overheating (I run hot already). After I wrapped up this video I had to bushwhack through some slide alders for a 1/4 mile and I was curious how they would handle that. I didn't get any snags on the pants at all, so they may be even more durable than I imagined.
Who doesn't want a free pair of pants!? 😊🙌
Also I just noticed the launch price from Outdoor Vitals is $9 cheaper than the intended price, so they are an even better deal right now! You can check them out here summitforwellness.com/skyline-trail-joggers
GIVEAWAY DETAILS! I decided to do 2 separate giveaways, so now you have double the chance to win! Giveaway 1: type a comment on this video and have the word "JOGGER" in the comment somewhere. Giveaway 2: Go to this url and register kingsumo.com/g/ruslss/ov-trail-joggers there are many other ways to accumulate more entries to give yourself a higher chance to win! I will randomly draw winners on June 26 (time tbd) via a livestream on RUclips. The winner for the comment must be on the livestream to win. Giveaway #2 does not have to be present during the livestream to win!
Where was this at? Tolt?
No actually it's Moss Lake. Pretty neat and quiet area over there!
Wow new to me....gunna have to check it out!!
Wow, stunning up there with the snow! I love this mountain but when i was up there the bugs were insane so this looks much more enjoyable.
If you went in July then bugs are usually terrible! After that it should be much better. The views are amazing up there!
@@SummitForWellness yeah I know but I was hoping with no water and a little wind there would be less of them. Wishful thinking I know. The weird part is they didn't bother us the entire way up, they were only at the top.
Heather Lakes, Snow Lakes, and Red Mountains, things Washington doesn't need any more of 😂 Glad the rope was there for the log bridge, that would be sketchy with the snow. I wonder if that is normal or if someone put that there temporarily.
I'm pretty sure the rope is there all the time, I saw it in trip reports a few months before this!
Thanks for the great views and the mountains were nice too....
😂😂
I have been using a grounding mat for 6 months, it seems to help me sleep better. Can this be used in conjunction with PEMF?
Nice video, did you see any fish at the lake?
No, we never saw any fish at Cyclone. I bet the other lakes around there have some fish though, cyclone with all the glacial silt was hard to see in!

Awesome 👏
Very nice! beautiful.

You should be able to!
For lyme and co infection and mold toxicity what is available in the market now?
I am very sick and believe in nature and healing but unfortunately they are very expensive i wish they could be more and cheaper and sick people could afford these amazing products to save the lives
The box isn't flattering for its price
😂😂 It's a very boring and basic box that's for sure!
