Sequoia National Park USA
Sequoia National Park is an American national park in the southern Sierra Nevada, California.
The park was established on September 25, 1890, to protect forested mountainous terrain.
The highest peak of the park is Mount Whitney 4,421 m above sea level.
The park is south of, and contiguous with, Kings Canyon National Park
both parks are administered by the National Park Service together as the Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks.
UNESCO designated the areas as Sequoia-Kings Canyon Biosphere Reserve in 1976.
In April 2022, the weather was still very cool, and there was even snow on the ground in the park.
The enormous size of the Sequoia trees was impressive.

Château de Fleckenstein is known since 1165 and is build on a sandstone. Only ruins remain from this until 1720 family owned castle. It has a very clever water transport system due to several cisterns. This excursion was this first one after the first lock down due to Covid restrictions. It was a very summery hot day.

This birdpark is home to a high number of exotic birds like Parrots, Cocatoos, Rainbow lorikeets and more.
