All that dirt on the acetone can went right in the paint. I knew immediately the color would be almost black. It doesn't take much black to darken any color.

Normally there is a choke cable, adjustable from the dash.

I got my 1974 914 running after sitting for 36 years, believe me all the work is worth it, next project will be the body work. But for now I am just enjoying driving it around.
