Not confident that is how critical hits work. Re-criting a damaged system moves it up the chain to the next undamaged system. That is why hit hit and runs generally keep adding fires. Unless you roll exceedingly high on an opponent you over match, you won't hit the bridge, shields, etc. Its also why rolling a 1 generally means the hit and run fails. (there is no 1 on the critical table). Granted, I am working off rules from initial print, so if multiple efforts to repair one system is the norm... it sort of defeats the purpose of multiple fires as that would then be luck of the draw, as opposed to the exact nature of stacked hit and run attacks.

Probably should have hid behind the ring until start of T3 and just ambushed the whole UCM fleet in one big wave.

One rule we know Alex got wrong - Planetary Rings *affect* line of sight (by negating the effect of spikes), but they don't *block* line of sight. So our detectors could have been putting spikes and telescope tokens on ships all game! Alex has been told off.

Titan chooses to fire on a knight in the background over the titans. Lol. We used to do that in apoc. Now we only fire titans at titans because that is what they would do in war unless they have a real hate for that knight house. I realize you're playing strategy though. That knight must be nasty.

Aegis.. has come back to what it sounds like it should do (protect against CAW and assets) but the ship changes have made it something I’m still not going to take as a UCM admiral except as a freebie on other ships. A group of 2 Jakarta (min group size) is now 80 points (from 100) but provides two extra saves (aegis 1 as newly adjusted), so (depending on scald or reave which could really make a difference and a lot of CAW threats have) let’s be generous and say you will save an extra point of damage that you otherwise might not have. Given that’s more than 3/4 the cost of a Rio, that’s not good maths for cost effectiveness. 8 extra saves (the old Aegis 4) until the Jaks were sniped out, making my opponent take the time and activations to shoot at them, I’d probably have invested in.

One thing with aegis, the rule looks good, but the adjusted values are really low so stuff like jakartas suffer for value versus points

Great Batrep, also interesting to see how that mission plays out. You could do some primarch death matches, I'd be interested to see how Horus or Russ vs. Ferrus would play out (I love how all the top tier duelling primarchs are Ruses: Ho, Leman and Fer). Also got to say, you two always bring a really nice vibe to your games that makes it all the more enjoyable to watch.

Fantastic battle report! I went looking for some 2.0 games Mechanicum in Zone Mortalis, and you didnt disappoint :) I didn't see it addressed in the video, but Mechanicum can't take Abeyants in ZM. ZM doesnt permit anti-grav, which is one of the special rules granted by abeyants. I was gutted when I first discovered no I3 Chainfists for me in ZM.
