Thanks for the series! Where did you guys get the terrain piece that you fit your cardboard building into? The footprint thing with the steps

This was a great series. one question i had looking at the website the only place to get basic infantry is in the starter boxes for each faction. Example for PHR you get 8 bases of immortals, but you can't buy an immortals box that i can see. Would you want more of these or is it basically specialist infantry after the first group. Say for a 1500 pt game.
2 things are kind of keeping me from starting this game now. 1 extreme lack of players in my area. I'm on a couple of discords for stores around my area and i found 2 players that dabble in the drop universe 1 lives over an hour away. and 2 almost all models are resin which i'm not wild about.
i'm actually more looking into drop fleet with the 2.0 release coming soon. Will you be doing anything with the drop fleet game?

Usually, the core starter box will have all the basic infantry, APCs and transports you'll need. The game's usually played at 1750pts, and you're unlikely to want more immortals than that.
The resin can be a bit of a learning curve if you're not used to it, but I find once you get used to it and the prep work it's not that bad. As for getting started, see if you can rope some of your normal gaming group into trying it! The entry cost is really low, especially if you split the two-player starter. That's basically what I did locally - a bunch of us decided to give it a go, and now we're up to around 15 regular players at our club.
And yeah, we will be covering Dropfleet! Sophie has a Resistance and a Shaltari fleet, Dan is taking the Bioficers and I'll have a UCM fleet shortly. Watch this space!

Fantastic series Alex. Very, very well done. I've relight my interest for this game.
I have been looking the building forces to buy and I've run into a problem: how do you get transports for units which have requirements not met by any transport, like the Resistance Atilla or Jackson APC?

      Glad to hear it!
The builder is a bit misleading - units like the Jackson require 2 tank OR 2 wheel transport slots, not AND. So they can fit in a Lifthawk or a Kraken.
      Hope that helps. :)
