Honeywell Lyric T5 Thermostat Demo and Review
Slow & boring af.
Thank you for the great explanation!
Thaks for this video a big help
Didn't work on 2017 traverse. Can only get 1 tire to honk.
So you are finding that your front right won't work? It may be a dead sensor in that wheel - try skipping that wheel and going to your rears. If you are able to get another successful honk, it will confirm that your front right TPMS is dead.
Thanks
Such a long winded video get to the freaking point
Thank you so much for this. I was genuinely about to sht myself in the bathroom at work and your video saved me as I was literally seconds away from disaster. 🤝🏽 I promise you this is not a Joke comment either. This was a scary situation 😂
This video saved me today in the office bathroom stall 😂. I couldn’t figure out how to remove it and was accidentally making it tighter !
Hahhaa, glad you were able to "get out"!
Mi hermano hay una rueda wue no suena e intentado de todo las de mas si pero hat una que no wue puedo hacer gracias😊
I do believe the instructions for the tool are that it can be used for a Ford and a GM vehicle, but you must toggle to one or the other. Did you find that you had to do that by holding the button and watching for two red flashes for GM and two green flashes for Ford?
My tool can't do that, there are other similar tools that have a GM/Ford switch similar to this one: amzn.to/3BiEsua
Putting the car in diagnostic mode finally worked on a 2019 Equinox. It was instant! I was super frustrated why it would go into TPMS learning mode, but not accept the signal from the EL-50448?? It is the same with the diesel fuel filter reset. The reset check mark shows, but wouldn't reset until I was in diagnostic mode. It doesn't mention this anywhere in the manual.
Every ratchet belt I have had the rivets that hold the Buckle assembly together that allow it to swivel up and down one always falls out. I literally end up using a tool that is made for putting threads into metal so that you can use a screw and putting a screw in the top and the bottom side of the Buckle just to hold it together they are all made like garbage
Interesting - my issue is that the "leather" portion wears out after a few years, but I've never had a problem with a buckle before (aside from getting scratched up). I only wear this style of belts.
Great video !
hows that impala ride? mine is bad over bumps..
Very well at 80k km / 50k miles. I have an LT, but I had test driven a Premier and found it to ride very rough. I'm not sure if that was from the 19" wheels or possibly different suspension tuning. Really happy with the ride on my LT with 18" wheels though
@@rubbercheesereviews I have 80k on mine, switched tires and struts..it corners great..without the sway bar hooked up,got to be something causing it,my friend said to get a buick..
@@rubbercheesereviews I have 18s on my car ..my 04 monte carlo rode better..had 17..more rubber between me and the road.
@@alvendetti4600 Yes, I prefer non-low-profile tires for better ride. My previous cars have all been Cadillacs with full sidewalls, and this definitely doesn't ride the same as them!
@@rubbercheesereviews there has to be something lose, steering shaft maybe, there is a banging in front i can feel it over speed bumps...my friend has 14 buick lacrosse, says its quiet..
That release tip should have come with the belt. I'm not even gonna lie, that gave me a bit of a worry! Thought I was gonna have to cut off a new belt
Quick question why is the tire p is 225🤦🏻♂️
Aside from one tire, pressures shown in the video are 236kPa, roughly 34psi.
Thank you for this video, I couldn’t get the damn thing off. 🙏
do you have any idea why mine is pulsing?
Mine does that when the tip is blocked (would happen if I stored it with the tip on such that the tip is resting in a little puddle). I've also had that happen when I didn't have the faucet fully turned on. See if you have this issue with another tip, and please report back!
236 psi is crazy 😭
That would be crazy! 236kPa is roughly 34psi, which is much less crazy
WHAT IF YOU HAVE A KEY!?!???? I HAVE A 2017 IT USES A KEY PLEASE RESPOND AND HELP lol
I'm not 100% sure (found this suggestion online): try cycling between off and ignition 3-5 times, making sure to 'end' with ignition in 'on' position. Stop when the gauges sweep as shown in the video. Let us know if that works (or doesn't)
@@rubbercheesereviews thank you so much!
Mate you're a legend. bought one and tried all the ways didn't work. was pissed off and thought i bought a faulty device and wanted to get a refund. came across your video by chance and IT WORKED. CHEERS LAD.
Very glad to hear! The tool definitely didn't work the way I thought it would at first!!
Why your tire pressure too high
Pressures around 236kPa which is around 34psi as expected/desired
@@rubbercheesereviews and how do i change it from KPa to Psi ?
@@galaxya2289 If you have this issue on your car, switch units from metric to US. If you are referring to this video, you'll have to use your imagination!
Lifesaver! I'd forgotten how to release and was 'pressing' the latch instead of lifting. Phew! Thank you! 😊
Hahaha, you're welcome!
This work on a 2017 impala ?
Yes, 99.9% sure it will!
Not applicable to the 2015 impala model.
This should work on 2014+ Impalas, I don't think any significant changes were made during the 2014-2020 body style
Have a question does it matter what sensors I get for this one to work ????
You need TPMS sensors compatible with the car; this device is compatible with the same sensors as the car. For my car, apparently AC Delco PN 13540602 is the OEM part number, but there are likely compatible aftermarket units. Try using RockAuto or similar to find compatible sensors.
Put the tool antenna on the tire below the valve stem if you dont wanna waste your time.....thats what they teach the techs
I've tried after receiving many comments like this - it makes no difference with my car and tool. I suspect this tool is either less powerful or slower scanning than professional tools used in shops where that might make a difference.
Hi, will this tool work on Land Rover Evoque 2020, also does any one know how to put Evoque in learning Mode.
Tengo uno de ese modelo. Solo le apretaba y no funcionaba asi. Hasta que vi tu video y ke deje apretado el boton. Este video me ayudó. Malibu 2015 I have one of that model. Glad to hear, I didn't realize at first that it had to be held either!

Hello I have a 2018 acadia and I replaced the Tpms sensor on the rear driver side wheel and the tool still will not read it but it will read the other 3 sensors Not sure what else to do I tried releasing air I tried driving for about 20 minutes like the instruction manual says..any ideas?
It is possible that if it is aftermarket, the sensor may need to be initiated to 'talk' with GM parts. If this is the case, you may need to use a "professional" scan tool to initialize the sensor. I'm not 100% sure on this though since I haven't ever replaced a TPMS sensor before. My summers are my OEM wheels; my winters are mounted on used OEM wheels that I bought (from another Impala).
No luck on 2015 equinox. Waited a min and tried on all 4 tires never beeped. But got beep and went into learn mode😊
Last one scared you lol
It did! Easy to stop paying attention, then the horn really gets you, especially when working in a garage!
Here 2024 mine still works. Just did it on a 2019 Escalade.
😂 wore one everyday for years. Woke up today and forgot how to release it. So here I am 😂
What size drill bit did you used ? My brand new cooler is having the same exact problem 😡
I used the smallest bit that the pin would fit through. I did some test drills into a piece of wood or cardboard just to ensure the pin would fit.
Does that green light flash all the time or only when near the tire? I just bought on and bought a battery and no light comes on.
Should flash whenever the button is pressed. Check your battery, or maybe you got a faulty unit?
Thank you so much for the detailed video!MALIBU 2016!
How to hold the bar that holds wheels to cooler
Turbo nozzle is for cleaning pavements and patios the side of your house etc.
You don’t need a hook on the top and bottom to rap the hose like you would do a vacuum cleaner. The hose isn’t as flexible as a cord anyway so all you have to do is loop it around and it’ll sit on it
Thanks for the tutorial. It worked on my chevy trax 2019. I used the EL-50448 model
You're welcome, glad to hear it worked on your Trax!
I tried the tool and I hear the light honk for the first two tires but starting on the third it does not honk and because of that I’m not able to finish the relearn and now all four tires show no psi before 3 showed. What do you think I’m doing wrong?
You may be doing nothing wrong. I'd try again a couple of times, and move the tool around a bit at the third tire. If still no luck, the battery in that sensor may be too flat to work and the sensor will need to be replaced. This system doesn't allow programming unless all four tires are programmed together.
@@rubbercheesereviews thanks for the info I appreciate the response I’ll keep trying 😃
I know this is old device and video but I was to buy one however, I'm shocked about the poor reviews out there. Nobody talks about the data usage info. This is vital to every device like that.
I have a separate video of the portal, including viewing the data collected by the thermostat if that is what you are referring to - ruclips.net/video/dGt-3tpN5NI/видео.html

I was thinking of calling the ambulance, thank you for this video, you saved me hahahaha
hahaha, you're welcome, glad you avoided the ambulance hahaha
I just purchased the SPYDER PRO 2700 psi unit and I must say, it's a nice little unit. It is replacing my Karcher K5 which was a total failure. It was my fourth Karcher home unit over the years and they all were complete crap that failed quickly. The SPYDER PRO 2700 however is a really nice little unit which houses all the included accessories (Spray Tips, Foam Cannon, Hoses, etc) directly on the side of the unit. The stainless steel wand is very nice. The foam cannon is OK and performs great, but I upgraded mine to the best one on the market today, The Griot's Garage BOSS Foam Cannon. You can also upgrade your spray gun to the a short "stubby" gun for the unit. McKillian's is the best deal on-line (Amazon) right now in my opinion for the stubby spray gun. It's a really nice spray gun for a reasonable $60 price and going with the short or "stubby" gun makes the unit much easier to use, especially when vehicle detailing. Stainless steel swivel fittings, and it's a solid commercial style, heavy duty spray gun. McKillians also make a fantastic stainless steel quick connection kit with all the fittings you need for around $30 which is a really good deal for connectors and fittings of this quality. McKillian's make very stout, solid, well made accessories for your SPYDER PRO 2700 or other SPYDER pressure washer. I use my SPYDER PRO 2700 PSI unit primarily for vehicle detailing which is why I added the extra accessories from McKilian's which made my whole unit just as good as the higher end units for about 1/2 the price. I think anyone who purchases the SPYDER PRO 2700 unit will be very happy with their purchase. It's the upper end unit on the SPYDER range of pressure washers but I did my research pretty extensively and it's well worth the extra couple of dollars to purchase the SPYDER "PRO" units. The PRO units are the nicer pressure washers in the SPYDER range. If you decide to add on the high end commercial grade accessories from McKillian's, you will be very happy indeed and it should give you many years of great service if you are only using this unit once or twice a week on average such as car washing, etc. One recommendation I would highly recommend is that you run a cleaner and protector through your pressure washer once per year. This is a product available on-line for between $9 and $15 per can. It's a cleaning solution and seal conditioner which protects your unit from premature wearing out. It's well worth the price once a year to protect your investment.
you can do exactly the same thing with out this tool! just to deflate your tire until the horn beep! exactly the same result.
I think it may depend on model year. My first tool was defective so I tried the 'deflate trick' but didn't have success, so I ordered the tool used in the video
you saved my life good sir
Not very foaming
I just tried to relearn the tires after rotations. And for some reason when I get to the rear right tire it will not detect it and it times out on me the whole process. It’s crazy insane why this companies got to make that so difficult.
