Rustoleum Garage Epoxy First Time Review
How heavy is it? As a woman I’m worried I won’t be as fast with this if it’s heavier.
It does add substantial weight to it. For just weedeating, I use the smaller echo weedeater. Good power and super lightweight! But this thing is certainly versatile!
Is the compressor 240v ? Because I was thinking what if I used a 110v adapter ? Or would that be bad for the circuit
I don't understand why people don't bedline these things. Wouldn't have to worry about rust then.
Ahahahahha!! Is there a company that knows how to make a salt spreader that does not break like lego on first use?
I had a TP 8x20 24k lbs dump trailer, it was a beast. The ramps were short (and heavy). Is your truck lifted? My 3500 Ram 4x4 didn't have the gooseneck all the way up. They are high in the ass, too. Try loading a skidsteer when the deck is 3' off the ground. It worked though. Great trailers for the money. I'm fixing to buy a new 7x16 16k gooseneck TP.
What was the product you used?
Hey Lex, I was just getting ready to pull the trigger on a 16' 18k gooseneck Texas Pride dump trailer(I mean I was getting ready to call and give the deposit)but after seeing your video it does have me second guessing my choice. I am not a subscriber (sorry)so I don't know if you still have the trailer or not but if you do, would you choose Texas Pride again?
Hello! I do not have the trailer anymore as I sold it to a friend. However he uses it daily and has had no major issues. I never had any big problems with it and it worked well for me, these were all just small things that annoyed me about it! I hope that helps in your decision!
@@lex5.060 Thank you sir! Texas Pride price is hard to beat and I believe it is still my choice.
Personally I'd rather have a painted trailer. I've seen powder coating just flake off if the tiniest amount of rust was present when it was applied and then it continues to spread. It's common for these trailer manufacturers to not get the trailer clean enough before applying powder coating unfortunately. I think paint is going to be easier to touch up and keep looking nice. Thanks for pointing out the latch mechanism. That is a pretty bad design flaw.
Hey brother is the setup still working good? If so how do you drain the water inside the air hose? Im thinking about doing the same 💩 bec times is hard rn.
I understand that! I only painted two cars with it but it worked well for me! I drained it through the desiccant system. I’m sure there was still water in the red hose but it wasn’t enough to effect my paint. Using hard piping with valves at the low points would be better if you wanted to do a lot of cars!
Since this was two years ago I'm interested to hear if the table being near the wood panel wall caused any issues from welding sparks. I have seen Fireproof blankets that possibly could be mounted on the wall behind and hung from a DIY frame on either side to help with this. I'm a 68 yr old beginnerwith that same table and I ran a dedicated 20 amp circuit receptacle just outside my garage because it seemed to easy to inadvertently start a fire inside.. my Garage is also pretty 'Junked up' due to several Family members sharing my home with my wife and I. We had a House Fire in 2012 and lost almost everything so I guess I'm a little skittish concerning Fires . Anyways thanks for the video and your attention.
I completely understand and agree it’s better safe than sorry. I honestly use it very rarely but have had no issues. I think the welding blanket would be a great idea sir!
How many bags of flakes it took
I believe it was two as that’s how many kits I bought but don’t quote me! Ha
Hey Lex, I was recently searching for dump trailers and happened upon your video. It is obvious by the name of your channel and the ring you were wearing that you are in law enforcement I found your video helpful, considering Texas pride trailers were at the top of my list. Now that I have watched your video, I may reconsider my choice. I watched some of your other videos and really enjoyed them. I am a retired police officer who dealt with his demons in all the wrong ways, and recently required a liver transplant. As therapy I started my own channel documenting my life post transplant. I hope you’ll check it out at New liver New life. Be safe out there.
Do it work good for you because I need one made
It worked well when I had the mower. Ended up being more of a mulcher because I didn’t have a way to pull it up other than reaching down. But it served its purpose!
How bout a video of your truck!? Sounds sick - is it a straight pipe delete? How many miles? What issues if any? Thanks
Nice try EPA! Mine is stock. However if it wasn’t I would have use a flopro 4” straight pipe kit. At the time it was sitting around 190,000 miles with a new transmission. I had to replace front and rear main seals but this truck hauled very heavy loads with a dump trailer so I can’t blame it. I’ve since sold it and the new owner has had zero issues. Can’t speak highly enough about these trucks.
@@crisjohnson2943 no EPA here brother. My emissions "fell off" around 20,000 miles no issues since then. Trans still good with 103000 on it. Thanks
why does everyone that does a video mumble.. speak up or get a better mic.
😂they paid their worker cheap wages and they run 700 ips wires at 27v. What do you expect
I ordered my trailer with 3/16 floors
How does CRC spray compare to NOCO NCP2?
I’ll be honest, I haven’t tried the others so I couldn’t tell you. But I thought the CRC did well. Still use it on my golf cart!
?????????????????????????????????
I wan’t snow to
Car looks just like mine I have it’s twin
Thanks for posting this. That latch for the tarp could easily be fixed with a cheap magnet from Harbor Freight.
That’s a good idea!
WHY , don't YOU TAKE IT BACK to your Dealer and Make them fix the Mfger ScrewUP ????
Most people never make the effort to try it, you are one more step closer to perfection! Nice job!
Thank you kindly!
My setup involves me running a hose out of girlfriends ass, about 1/2 inch diameter setup, with high pressure methane hose. I get plenty of air, runs about 1 hour. I give her beans 🫘 and then she can run for about 2 hours give or take. Looking to upgrade my setup soon due to odor.
That’s the brand of you water filter system
cool video
Thank you!
Quick easy setup. Nice. I made mine with 1/2 copper Used flexible line between compressor and wall mounted copper pipe with ball valve drains at bottom to bleed water out. Not sure how your bleeding water out? Maybe take it down to drain it out?
Have u had any problems after this video
No issues. I’ve only painted one other mustang but it came out just fine! Not a professional setup by any means but it saved me a $8,000 minimum paint job! Haha
Pretty smart
Thank you! Every once in a while I have a good idea. It’s rare but still happens! Haha
Went to purchase a trailer in Houston, dealer said mechanics would laugh if you bought a Texas Pride, said parts they use are inferior have to do more repairs than others
Haha good to know!
having your air hose zip tied to the wall mimicking a copper air cooler/water separator is really doing nothing for you. You could have it coiled up on the ground and it would do the same thing it is doing on the wall. The hose material has poor heat transfer so its not dissipating the heat anywhere near like a copper manifold setup. Not to mention there is no ball valve drains at the low points to get rid of moisture.
I appreciate the input! I did it to save space and not look like a heap of line laying on the floor. Haha. If I had hard piping I would have done that, it worked well for the two cars I did. Not professional by any means!
Chinese instructions are usually just a picture with the words good luck written in mandarin. 😆
So the zig zag hose set up, is supposed to help cool the air before the desiccant oil separator. Thanks cool set up.
Just the length of hose helps. I zig zag’d it just to save wall space!
This is a great video. I am setting myself with the same air compressor you have so what you are sharing is exactly what I need. i will be painting my car in June in my garage. Thank you for posting!
Good luck! It’s a lot of work for sure. Just make sure the air is dry when it gets to the gun!
@@lex5.060 Quick question, you got your tubing/air line from Tractor Supply. What type of tubing is it? or what brand? Thank you
@@josequevedo8439half in' hose with 3/8 fittings
You're awesome
Thanks, you are too!
You need drains in the drops to remove the water or a pre or after cooler a hose with drops does nothing to remove water inside it
I have the desiccant system after the red hose to assist. If it were hard piped I would definitely have drains where you mentioned. Just my cheap setup!
Can you just add a valve to the hose at the end near the bottom and then continue with the regulator and filter? Would that work to drain out of line?
What size are the walls?
10’ ceilings.
Look's great! How's it holding up?
Thanks! Just the same as the day it was painted. I sold it but I get pictures from time to time!
Did you go over it with the gloss clear ?
Sure didn’t! Haha, probably should have looking back. It’s held up pretty well after a couple years however.
Very cool.
Bought chapin 2 years ago . Used one year and spinner froze up. I cleaned up after each day use. Bought smaller one and shoots salt out left side only and have to shake as with the bigger on. looking else where. i would use cheaper smaller spreader except i have larger areas. even the larger salt dogg bed salters quitter working alot. had many issues . I think its the salt damage to parts.
I’d say you hit the nail on the head there! It’s tough on equipment.
I bought my 8’ Super Duty Straight Blade Boss plow new in 2014 . In 2020 I traded it in for a Boss 8’2” V Blade DXT. Dealer gave me $2500.00 trade in for it. Love the Boss Plows !
That’s awesome! Those V Blades are a whole new level. Great for places that actually get snow!!
I'm a chevy guy
I’m sorry.
👍👍👍🌹🌹🌹
I think you’re supposed to run the wire up around them two shiny things in the upper right before you it goes out to the gun, I believe.
Appreciate the tip!
Does it matter if I run the flexzilla tubing first and then the red stuff? I like the way it looks better that way! Great video and help!👍
I wouldn’t think it matters! Just keep the desiccant system between them. Thank you very much!
You think 10.0CFM is good enough for most jobs? I love flexilla
Me as well! And it seems to work well for me! Painted two cars now and it’s been good.
'great tip, i never thought of using air hoses instead of the black pipes i use to have on my 60 gal compressor, and this set up you have is a lot less expensive than the black pipes i had, and like you said as long as it works thats all that matters great tip again.
Thank you very much! Good luck!
Copper piping is the only way to go for setting up an air drying system for painting cars. A set up like this is complete crap.
How did your air compressor do did it run a lot while painting
It did. But it kept enough pressure that I never had to stop and wait!
@@lex5.060 thanks
