Are you introducing a rooster or a wolf to the hens? Just let him in and let nature take its due course. I've been introducing roosters, and they are all fine after a couple of harmless fights with other roosters or bigger hens. Unnecessary drama.

Hens to pullets, I generally do at least two weeks of "look, don't touch" (side by side runs). I don't have a rooster though.

How many years of experience do you have handling pigs? As an old timer raising pigs & cattle, I’ll warn you that Mangalitsa pigs can be much more aggressive. They are deeply connected to their wild genetics. We raise them but have to selectively cull the ones that are aggressive, break out of any kind of fence and etc. I wish you great success but also beg you to please be cautious around this breed. We have many breeds here and focus on maintaining heritage breeds like the super rare Meishan. We get calls from all over begging us to please come get Mangalitsa off their farms. Their genetics & dispositions vary WIDELY. Best of luck my friend! Hope it all works well for you and the amazing Mangalitsa breed! 🤠✅👍🏻

Thanks! How long will these eggs last like this? I’ve got two bluebird eggs that didn’t hatch in a nest in my nest box. It’s been so fun monitoring the box and watching the ones that did hatch grow. We even witnessed them fledge! I’m going to try and preserve the leftover eggs and maybe even donate them to a nature center for education if I can find one who will take them. I’m going to try this method and hopefully it will be successful!

What a GERAT rooster he was! Now my daughter is giving me Fearless's brother. But I want to make sure I do the intro into the flock correctly. Thanks for this video!

OK I see this was put up about a year ago so I'll look for a update. But by now you have probably seen or heard about electric hog netting. There's no need to hog panel a huge area. Make smaller plots and only move them once the area is cleared sufficiently. This method does a much better job of helping the forest floor. You also need to clear some of the overhead forest to allow more light in and improve air circulation through the trees. Good luck on your adventure. Have a great day 🌤 😀

I used your method with a Capri sun straw instead of the normal straw size..it fit so much better in the small holes and creates a better push. Also if you put a small amount of like tacky glue in the area for the holes..it helps prevents cracking more when making the holes Went to see my Granny last weekend and she gave me 8 goose eggs and duck and chicken eggs!! Going to make my Granny and 7 Aunt's a Easter egg!! It's my first try doing any of this, very excited 😁 will try to remember to post pictures of final egg's!!!

Just got a john deere z375r , I live on a hill side and the tires are t..... savers they will get you hurt on a hill .. I have put a bumper on it because there no where to hook to when you need to pull it back up a hill ... also changed the tires and wheel to a very aggressive tire.. the bumper also puts more weight where it needs it ...the bump also protects the light weight sheet metal ... The engine is a B&S... and is great might be the best part of the mower ...runs good , starts good , with lots of power..

Lol he just strolled on in there like he's always been part of their flock. I just introduced a silkie cockerel to a flock of older much larger hens and he's mortified of them. They roost alright, no fighting in the coop is far as I know, but they'll forage in opposite corners of the yard all day when the hens aren't chasing him around. At night I have to pick him up out of the compost pile and put him in the coop. He is the sweetest chicken I have ever met though, more pet than a rooster. Cuddles and sleeps in your lap, runs out to greet us, doesn't even run away from the kids when they pick him up. Cockerels are funny creatures, their personalities are all over the place.
