hi Jerry, thank you very much for your responsiveness. I looked in the control menu but there is no Ch1 & Ch2. The only thing that seems to me to correspond would be memory inc and Dec. When I press the "A" pedal I can only change the loop once from 5 to 4 then from 4 to 5 for example. . On the other hand when I press "B" nothing happens..!!? I don't understand in short, Since you don't have an RC500 I'll list everything that's in the control menu. CTL1 FUNC.: looper FX, Tr1 FX, Tr2 FX, cur TRFX, FX inc, FX Dec, Rhythm P/S, play and stop, memory INC and DEC, Extent INC and DEC. and the same obviously in CTL2 FUNC. Hi Jerry, I could use your help if you would like...I would like to know how to configure my RC500 looper and the FS-7 pedal to use the FS-7 only to switch between loops. what are the settings in the RC500 control menu? Memory inc or dec... and of course the setting of the FS-7? Thanks in advance. Musically, Bruno.

I'll make myself familiar with the root notes of the chords in a song in and I play these with my thumb most of the time and then pluck the rest of the chord with my 4 other fingers. Like: bass note root / chords pluck. Tick, tock, tick, tock. Then I'll search for the Key of the song by noodling around in Min Maj scale. When I now the Key, I make myself familiar with the chords in that Key and I look for stuff I can play around with that would be interesting to the song. Does this make sense? Best way for me to learn guitar is playing along with the songs I really love, deconstructing them by ear and writing it down theory-wise. You have amazing skills, because you've worked hard at it and you just love music I'm sure. That's what I've been doing since taking guitar REALLY seriously and it pays off. Learning Womack & Womack - Teardrops at the moment and adding some interesting basslines and rhytmic chops in between the chords. Will be recording it probably in an hour. Your video helped though, because of the I ii iii IV V vi vii numerals stuff that you explained. Didn't even know the Capital letters were major and the small ones minor. Not sure why D sharp is half diminished though, or what that means. Anyway, if you've been reading this you're crazy! thanks! Cheers, Brussels, Belgium

NOPE - The most important thing is knowing the notes on the fretboard - EVERYTHING else falls easily into place when you know that, chords, scales, modes, arpeggios etc. Maybe for songwriters, the 7 chords could be the most important.

It's embarrassing how long I've been messing with guitars and still haven't wrapped my head around this basic stuff. In E, I knew that the E,A,B were Major, I didn't realize until you said that the F#, G#, C#, D#, were minor?
