On mango trees, sooty mold grows on top of the leaves and hampers photosynthesizing, thus harming the plant. As you say, easy to remove but very time consuming to wipe down 100's, if not 1000's of leaves. Can you describe what the ounce of prevention is to obviate the need for the pound of cure? Thank you.

There is an app you can install on you phone that will measure foot candles of light. I don’t know how accurate it is.

It’s so funny, the modern double pane windows with UV treatment, I have a bay window, west facing, savage sun..and the phals I have love it..something about the window gives them what they need without burning.
