One of my gifts from God is: He gave me good troubleshooting skills. I am able to fix things and find solutions to problems and issues that I face. I post videos here to help others. I don't do fancy editing. Most of my videos are very basic. I just want to get the information posted, so others can see it, with the hope that it helps you too.

I’ve used Methyl Ethyl Keytone (MEK) to fix old broken plastic with great success. If it is the right type of plastic - this is better than glue, and better than epoxy. I love your tutorials & explanations! I wish my Dad could have done this for me, thank goodness for RUclips & you! I love learning all these great tidbits! Also, thank you for your thorough & gentle nature. My Dad wasn't naturally patient & he disliked fixing things or teaching his kids fix-it skills. He started any project with a disorganized mess & soon thereafter there'd be much grouchiness & angry barking of orders like (get me this tool, or that thinga-ma-jig). Usually, us kids/helpers were confused & we didn't understand which tool he wanted nor what the tool's proper names were. Not many things got properly fixed around our house. I've learned so much from skilled men like yourself on how to be my own handywoman!🩷

the bag technique worked for me! thank you! you might want to remake this video and start with the solution and then follow up with the story, i could see that video going viral because it worked well for me but almost gave up because i did not see any solution in the video ... just the stories of what happened to you ... but i jumped ahead after listening for about 5 minutes ... when doing research it can end up taking up far more time that a person has to listen to every video, thanks again for making the video!

Love birds nesting on my property. I do everything I can to encourage it. I park in the garage. Folks should know that removing an active bird nest (once an egg has been laid) is illegal for most species. Exceptions are non native birds like starlings and house sparrows.

How strong is this bond? I have some plastic benches at work where the slats have cracked in half. Would this bond them back together while being strong enough to support people sitting on it?
Hello. For the purposes I use it for it appears to be as strong as the original piece. But I don't think I would trust it for the weight of a person. Plus, if that plastic is old and brittle enough that it cracked once - It's going to crack again in some other place. Rick

I spoke with Speed Queen last Friday. 5/24/24. They sent me an email on a fix. They are telling me it’s a build up of soap on the drain wall. I tried the vinegar with no luck. Their next option was to use fabric softener, which I normally do not do. But I was willing to try anything at this point. My machine is only 1 year old. It’s been going on long enough that my floor linoleum has separated where it was glued together under the washer. I just did not discover it until 3 weeks ago. To my SURPRISE the fabric softener worked. I am still going to run 2 cups of vinegar through my machine with HOT water once a month as the tech said this is just good maintenance for washer. When using the perm press or delicate cycle I am having no issues due to the LOW spin cycle I am sure. Hope this helps some of you!

Thanks so much for the answer direct from the ppl who know. I’ve just noticed this problem. I’ve been seeing a little water on the floor with no idea where it came from until I watched a cycle all the way through. I hadn’t seen the foam with our old garbage washer (that died at five years old) and figured it had something to do with Speed Queen being a commercial washer-strong spin, etc. I’m willing to change my practices for a good, durable machine, so I’ll follow this advice.

I have a pr of barn swallow s invading my front porch. they are chasing my hummingbirds away.. I used 4" wide blue painting tape. I doubled it then cut Into strips . I have 2 swallow so mad now. I thank you for this tip they are not going back to their spot. I'm 68 and love hummingbirds..I have up to 50+ sometimes eating at the same time. those birds will not win thanks again

Where we live, the fire department suggest not to place mulch close to the house as it will be a hazard in case of a fire. It will be like adding fuel to a fire. They suggest to replace it with rocks which is what we will be doing.

Last year the birds built a nest right inside My. Wreath on the front door. Couldn't go in the front door until the birds Got big enough to fly away.😅
My dryer came with a cover over the lin trap but I will never Buy a, Queen washer and dryer again.I've already had them serviced 2 times within 2 and a 1/2 years period had Maytag washing drive for 20 years before.I had a problem with the washer and replace them.

One question comes to mind, how do you spread compost or worm castings etc.? I assume one would have to remove the stones around the plant and then put the compost, and then the stones back on top. Or maybe you use only liquid fertilizer. 🤔

Hi, I have an AC unit under a tree and birds were pooping all over it. I tied blue plastic grocery bags over 3 of the branches and I have not had any poo on there since. I tried a plastic owl first and that helped a little but eventually even after moving the owl around daily it wasn't as effective. I hope this continues. Thanks for the tip.

It looks more like a rock garden with a few islands of plants rather than a garden. I think I'd get rid of the plants entirely and do Zen raking every day.
So basically cut everything.

My problem is with a neighbor i don't know who but i live in a predominantly Hispanic city and they love their birds, specifically the dirtiest birds in my opinion on the planet, yes I'm speaking of pigeons. Every damn day around five pm he lets them loose, they fly over my driveway, two weeks ago i was working on my car, i had a jacket on when al of a sudden, plop, right on my left shoulder, the next day again while doing a brake job on my car, i was sitting on the driveway when once again, plop, right on my pants,, im an animal lover mainly cats but I'd like to get a bb dispenser and no more sky rats, i don't have a garage and my driveway is for only one vehicle, i have my truck parked on the street and overhead are the wires o every description, phone power etc, the perch on the wires and my truck gets it, i can't cover my truck because we have resident parking before we had stickers now the parking authority switched to a lisense plate reader on their car so they need to see the vehicle, i was told that you can't legally cover a vehicle parked on the street anyway.

Hello. I'm sorry they don't have them. If you need just the o-rings, I suggest you take the entire assembly to a hardware store and see if you can match the o-rings one-by-one. Rick

I live in North Idaho and I just moved into a newly constructed home and I've got starlings that have nested in my vents. I am having a guy take care of it for me. I've done some research and when I put the vent overs over the vents that need to open, like the dryer vent I'm going to put shiny curly ribbon on them so they can blow in the wind. I read they don't like shiny things that move around. They also suggested a CD because it's reflective. I really enjoyed your video and I'm curious why the blue bag works. Let's try to find the answer.
