$89 Char-broil cheap offset smoker/grill review
I have had this smoker/grill for about 2 years now. Im really happy with the performance of this grill with only one exception, the thermostat. I strongly suggest upgrading that as soon ad it goes bad. Otherwise a good buy for the price

AO Smith whole house water filter- 6 Month Review

Finally changed out my old filter. I went from a 20 micron to a 5 micron filter. Both say they last up to 6 months. The 20 micron filter just reached 6 months so i dont believe that the 5 micron filter will last as long, but well see

This is my first attempt at plumbing and I'm pretty happy with the results. This unit was purchased from Lowe's for $65
I had a AO WH water softener. 400T is there a way I can reduce the amount of times back wash is done. Five weeks later I had to fill the tank with salt again. It’s only two people in my hise
what size o-ring does this use?

Good video! Try a spin down sediment valve followed by two larger sediment valves. The spin down valve should be about 40 microns and you can see the collected sediment and flush it out in 30 seconds.
What is that bracket number
I have one of theses filters. After one year it is impossible to keep it from leaking, I changed the rubber O Ring, used vaseline and cleaned the filter threads. The solution was to not just replace the filter but the entire system. I am on my third one, need to buy the filter system by the six pack.
Does the O ring go at the top of the glass filter or up in the white housing. I just took the old filter off and a big O ring fell down, now it doesn't seem to fit right on the glass piece. Any advice would be appreciated.

Just picked this up but going mod mine with an electric hotplate (1000w) i have seen it done on home built smokers not sure if 1000w will be hot enough so may need a 1500w Have temp probes to be able to check heat distribution Once i can get 220-250 constant temp will do temp spread

Yea it only comes with 4 screws for the mount. Makes perfect sense AO Smith. SMH

Just sharkbite fittings and Teflon tape on any threads. It looks like he did what I needed to do, and used a 1" to 3/4" pvc reducer from the in/out ports on top of the filter so as to connect to a 3/4 sharkbite then to 3/4 tube or pipe

Not at first, but as i got closer to the 6 month mark i did notice a bit of a drop. But notjing too bad
i would not buy this filter. mine is a month old and the clear plexiglass cracked and water is spraying out the crack. I've just discovered its been leaking for over a week. This is probably why my water billl went from 75 to 95.

I notice you didnt add a grounding wire, is that not necessary with pex? Just got mine
Homes with pex piping use grounding rods, if you have pex piping grounding the system is not necessary
Did it decrease your water pressure ?
When I first installed the unit I did not notice any drop in water pressure. It's been a little over 3 months now and I have noticed a very slight drop in water pressure. I'm actually still very satisfied with this filter. I will be changing out the filter in a month or so, and I will be installing a pressure gauge so I can better document it's performance.

Im your second subscriber! I bought one too plus I got the mini sediment filter to run it through. You should do a video on paint that can block out emf radiation.

Yes I am. This filter works as advertised and seems to be good quality. This one is just a pre-filter so if you want good drinking water from the tap I would get this pre-filter, the tank filter, and the water softener. The whole system should run under $1000. Hope this was helpful
