I loved it and just watched both seasons in its entirety this past week. However after watching this video, I agree with the negative and positive points. A production can only be so accurate without the contributors, however I thought it was still great entertainment.

Just like Rome, I'm totally fine with this show getting canceled too soon rather than too late. HBO f**** everything up in the long run trying to milk intellectual properties for all their worth. What we got was 17 incredible episodes telling the story of call Jerry Buss, through sheer tyranny of will, created the 1980s Showtime Lakers and created the rivalry with the Celtics that saved the league. Demi Moore and you're going to start having to tell the story of Michael jordan, and then the show just gets murky and loses focus.

The ending went like that because they knew the show was ending. The show was announced cancelled before the last (I think even the second to last) episode and they had to conclude it somehow and the way they did it was so bogus. They had plans to keep going but it’s a shame they didn’t. I hope it gets picked up by someone else soon

This whole channel is subjective

plain and simple it was viewership because of a lack of marketing. The first season was advertised everywhere, but no one even knew the second season came out until it was cancelled. It was a great show and it is starting to get some appreciation

My reading is the show knows what it's doing and this season felt off and somehow disjointed from the first two because carmy is off. It's a fourth wall metaphor for how the bear (the show and the restaurant) has a shiny sleek exterior now but underneath it's all falling apart. The show is "worse now" because Carmy is worse now. Carmy is in more debt that ever, he's headed for a literal mental breakdown, restaurants all over the city are failing but they're just steaming bull-headedly ahead. I don't think this has a happy ending, or at least not in the way we expected. Maybe carmy will realise that his friends, family and community that loved them as the beef are more important than chasing lofty but ultimately hollow and meaningless accolades? Maybe carmy is doomed to follow in mikey's footsteps? I think the tonal shift from season two to three is intentional

I just don't understand why Richie went from understanding, and even saying "you're all I got" to Carmy to hating his guts because of an argument with things that not only Syd also said (and he doesn't hate her gut anymore and respects her) but he also started the beef by calling Carmy "Donna" which considering his whole backstory with his mom and the fact he literally just found out Claire listened to him saying horrible stuff obviously he would spin out of control. Richie even left by saying "I love you" because he knew that argument was so stupid, and yet even after he said sorry Richie just hates him now and acts fully immature I just don't get it

I’m sorry I couldn’t get more than 5 minutes into this video. Your perspective on this show is awful and deliberate …. Additionally the show ended as it did because they needed to use cutting room floor scraps to get it over the line because HBO canned its budget . The strikes and that hbo max rubbish were the result of its demise , otherwise it’s possibly the best thing that’s been on tv in years.

from someone that’s been in the restaurant game and culinary no longer in that industry i see the value in season 3. it may not hit others unless you’ve been in that industry and that’s perhaps why people don’t get it. it’s just one of those things you won’t get unless you’ve been thru it. Much like with depression or self deletion thoughts people can’t get certain moments unless you’ve been in that position.

fire code and suppression is so real and has tanked many many places. running sprinkler lines and fire suppression is mad expensive.

I am an NBA fan , even have a podcast and really loved the show. Sad part is that I expected a spinoff about Larry Bird's Journey, same style, same actor, but what can you do.

I absolutely loved this season even after a rewatch recently. I just love these characters so much I don’t care if we are just hanging out. Now if I wasn’t able to binge this season, I’m not sure it would work out since some episodes are pretty slow. My only complaint is the haunting stuff that kept getting brought up. It just wasn’t that funny to me and got tiring. I still love the Facks and really hope we get to meet the sister sugar hates lol

This show, shows the absurdity or woke morons. It also shows how greedy scummy refugees are with the Somalian family. Dude gets a free house from woke morons, then has the balls to ask for it in writing that it's free, and calls for a 9v battery to be changed. It's absolutely absurd, and this show makes me angry cause there are actually people like that. It just shows how stupid the left ideology is.

I actually played a sports photographer and sports journalist on season two.. towards the last days of shooting we did a photo shoot with two new characters that were supposed to be like a cliffhanger for season three I believe it was going to be Kobe Bryant coming into the Lakers

Reading the comments shows your opinion on the show is not very popular. Like myself, a lot of people seem to like the show. It was a little slow but very entertaining. I’m a huge basketball fan and I learned a lot from the show and the Lakers vs Celtics rivalry. I think HBO killed the project prematurely. They definitely fumbled this one…

This show has all the anxiety of an old Hitchcock film but without all the interesting plot, characters, good actors, craft etc.

Two missing scenes I personally count: The valet scam in Rock & Hard Place & the time skip at the end of Fun & Games. The valet scam for me is C, maybe low B. The time skip is easily S.

To me, the scamming montage in 6/11 is just absolute perfection... The montage that truly made me realize the type of pwrson that Jimmy is and that he was never going to change... The use of the acoustic Tapioca Tundra was perfect to set the melancholy vibe that it gave

I think this is a perfect review, except I would also add that one area I found ironically lacking in the most this season was the FOOD! I remember with seasons 1-2 I would scold myself if I forgot to prepare a meal before putting on an episode because I would instantly be hungry and craving absolutely everything on the screen. Perhaps it's a metaphor for Carmy's emotional state this season, but when I looked at the plates rather than being appetizing I found the overwhelming sensation of restriction, complacency, and shades of "greige"- in what should be visually stunning cuisine! We should be envying these plates served up at high-end establishments and yet each dish this season gave the sensation of wearing a corset, or being on a painstakingly strict diet when all you really want is a juicy cheeseburger. It definitely took a lot of the pizzazz out of the show for me, and especially reminded me a lot of when The Walking Dead first started to drag with hyperfixating on in-group politics over actual zombie action and survival.
