I'm an outdoors guy, a veteran, and a patriot. I don't necessarily limit myself to a specific outdoor genre. If I put out a video that seems a little out of place, that's just the way it goes.
Longer Range AR: Stretching the Legs of the LMT
Reaching out past 600 yards with the LMT CQB 16 MRP and a 12 in steel plate. This was a great place to do some shooting at the mid-to-long-range. Ammunition fired was all Hornady factory match, mostly 68 grain BTHP and a little bit of 75 grain BTHP. Shooting longer ranges with a .223 AR15 is a lot of fun and good practice. With good ammo, the ballistics are pretty decent.

Not a bushcraft knife but more of a survival, camp, and field knife. It's a great knife with a lot of versatility.

Bahco Laplander Field Demo

This is the field demo only, without introductory review. I also compare it to the Trailblazer Sawpreme Xtreme 8". This Laplander is an impressive little saw and great piece of kit.

You can do a lot more with this knife than what I show. This is a knife that should be used to fully appreciate it. It's an excellent knife.
Guys I have the same Knife Bravo 1 A2 steel with choil. Strong excellent woodsman tasks Holds it edges & a little harder to sharpen then normal steel Very thick spine I’ve paired it with a Bravo EDC Would I recommend this knife yes only to the keen outdoorsman. Novice save your money buy a mora you’ll be happy I’ve been using mine for about 5/6 years now
Great video and nice knife 👍🏻
Excellent video and a really good demonstration of the capabilities of the knife. I actually ordered the A1 yesterday. I chose the leather sheath option.
Out near the tip the blade is thinner and so goes thru wood easier.
Excellent video young man, best I've seen on the F1,I'm a hunter, camper and knife collector,I love the Scandinavian knives also have a lot of American knives. My go to knife is the Mora Garberg also the Bark River Gunny for field dressing deer,I have very big hands triple x gloves and the handle on the Falkniven knives look to small,I still want to get an F1 any advice on the handle would be much appreciated.Stay safe.
Anyone expirience with fallkniven f1 in 3g steel?
I think Made in japan
Habiendo tanta leña tirada para qué corta un árbol? 🤔
One of the best reviews where the F1 is used for what it's meant to be used for. Also a very relaxing video. Good demonstration of the knife and skills.
Nice video. Why you took the a1 coated and the f1 non coated?
A Wetterling's ax and Bark River Bravo 1! You have good taste in cutting implements. Your fire building was textbook. Nice job!
I could live off a pack of beacon and hot drink mix every day.
Dude awesome fire making/wood prep skills you have there, this is the best video hands down showing the capabilities of this knife. Good job! I will be purchasing this knife and begin to practice these skills here in Florida. Take care!
Say Heah, Fir the longest time,, I was teaming my A-1 with my Mini Pendleton. But recently I got the H-1 because it reminds me if my 3V Skookum Bush Tool. I still will use my Mini Pendleton, But mostly as a add-on and with other set's. WoW New England is bumming me out, LaterZ. ,, .
Say Heah, The Fallkniven A-1 is still one of my Fav. Knives especially in wet and snowy conditions, I really like the strength of the laminated blade, I also just got a Benchmade Arvensis 119 for that kind of use. I teamed mine up with the Bokor Coye Ridgeback a beautiful match, With my A-1 I teamed it with my Cold Steel Mini Pendleton a awesome combination. Yeah, the Fallkniven A-1 is a true time tested knife. Thanx You.
Does it chop worth a crap
A1 or A1 pro? I heard the A1 pro was having issues with the handle. Did they resolve those issues?
They resolved the pro series handle issues basically as soon as they came to attention.
well well well... that sound during shaving tells it all. f1 works "happily" on wood. excellent knife, good video. thx
The Bark River Bravo 1 is so awesome I own 2 of them. It seems to do everything pretty well. I even fillet a fish with it.
i did 1000 yards with my lmt the other day oh i forgot to add mine is the .308 one !
+geezerp1982 Good times!
Beautiful nature!
super video
+Nagy Zoltan Thanks!
Very enjoyable, just had mine delivered today.
fantastic video!
Excellent Video! Have you used the A1 to process any game? I know it's not ideal given the blade length and thickness but just curious if you've tried? I was considering an S1 but I think A1 may be the way to go. From watching the Alone series on the History Channel I'm intrigued by some of the guys bringing what would be considered extremely large knives on the traditional bushcraft spectrum. However they all made it happen with the very large knives regardless, from finer wood work to processing game. Thanks again!
+Christian Cork Thanks! I have not used the knife on game, and I agree that it wouldn't be ideal. I have used it to clean a lot of trout though, and it was about like you would expect. Got the job done but not ideal. I'll admit I'm a Fallkniven fan. I've got the F1 as well and I've got an S1 arriving in about a week. Take care!
Thanks for the reply bro! Can we expect an S1 review here in the near future? I'm also considering an S1 for backpacking and extended trips, I love my A1 but the S1 is nearly half the weight.
I'd like to get an S1 too, but I hear the handle is quite small around the same size as the F1's. I may have to fork over the money for a custom handled S1 in order to get something that fits my hands.
Great knife !
Sold!
I like my F1 too. Tough and adaptable to any job at hand. What brand ferro rod are you using in this vid? It seems to be a good one. Ah yes, lovely lovely Spam. Cubed up with cubed potatoes and Velveta cheese, wrapped all up in foil and toss on the coals for about 20 minutes, flip it and give another 20, unwrap and eat it all up.
f1 un couteau pur ... et dur!
Do you think you would like it more with the thumb ramp grinded off?
ótima faca, eu também tenho uma.
Yes, I stand corrected, Swedish.
Yup, one of my favorites, and I have others I luv as well, but what seperated this knife from many other rubber handle knives, I like the tang design, it contours the handle shape, instead of being a stick tang, it is a tough knife, no wonder the Swiss Army uses it, great review, keep up the great work, by the way, I also have the Northern Lights Njord, it's a similar size, just a little fancier.
Swedish*:) :P
Oops Swidish Army
Swedish
Good video =) !
Very good video. I like spam also!
Im pretty tired while watching this and that crackling fire is making me even more sleepy :) thanks for the upload
It was all good until you pulled out that bacon, We now know you could not have been more than 3-4 days out in the winter to be carting bacon without it going off LOL. Ok seriously I've taken frozen bacon out during winter for several days below 10C and it lasts like in your fridge for a long time.
Would it scrape shavings with the back of the knife? Maybe just dust?
A-bit off topic, but darn, a sansaw is the best way to fell or buck usable wood. That goes for notching too :)
Survival Bacon
Great video man! just one question: wich saw are you using on that small tree? greetings!
Hey mate, it's a Bahco Laplander folding saw.
This wood looks a bit 'punky' but its a great axe none the less. I have a few Wetterlings axes and they are my favourite brand. I find they really hold an edge, have excellent quality and yet are very reasonably priced. No doubt that the Swedes make the worlds best axes. For day hiking, outdoor fishing and hunting I reckon this one is unsurpassed.
That knife really did a great job. Great work and good video. Sub'd ;)-
Love your videos. I have the bravo1 and F1. Which one is your go to today? Seems like my F1 feathers better and strikes my ferro rod so much better?
I have just bought the Bravo 1, tried using it to light the fire rod with the back of the blade section....not work and chipped the steel a little. so no go on that part though it does work if you use the ramp part though im going to keep the Esee firesteel (flint version) strapped to the back of the sheath. I have also bought the bravo micro and that does indeed spark well on the fire rod :)
tenho um também.
I just wanna give you a big thumbs up for this video. I'm not interested in buying the F1 or any other of Fällknivens knives, but i sure did wanna see it in action and your video covered everything! Great video, you should make more like this
Why not to buy an F1?
Sem Yazem they are too expensive
Victor Lindgren I've learned the hard way that going cheap doesn't always save you money in the long run. I suppose if you're just doing a few trips a year and/or are just getting started, a Mora is fine. However, for what you actually get, the F1 is not expensive. Maybe it's out of your price range at the moment, but It actually seems to be a great value.
Yeah I guess you are right. Same thing applies to the "scary sharp" sharpening method using wet and dry-papers, they are cheap but you constantly need new papers, which is expensive in the long run compared to buying a nice waterstone. Thank you for your reply!
you doing very accurate use of knife, very nice :)
Good review! I've had mine for years now. If I were to get a new one I would really appreciate if the A1 came with a thermarun handle and 3G laminate steel like in some of their more recent knives. As I'm no longer in the army I'd be prepared to pay more for a thermarun/3G steel version, since army use abuses the knife much more than my regular outdoors use.
I find 3G to be more chippy I wouldn't like it in my A1
Great Video!...I own a A1 also,and I think it's a great survival knife!...Salutations from Spain!...
I have the f1 3G, best 4 inch blade IMHO, might be a good companion for this knife... Or maybe an ESEE 5
