I always thought the Doug Sanders yip at 18 to win The Open at St Andrews in 1970 was the worst missed putt in Golf. Then Ernie Els comes along at The Masters on the first hole and takes 6 from about 2 feet. That has to be the worst, most feeble, most pathetic display of “putting” I’ve ever seen.

I don't know all the rules of Golf. I mainly know play it where it lies. What's the call when its sitting on someone's backpack while being worn? Like can he just shake it off and where it lies is good? Or does the player need to make another drive with a +1 stroke penalty? Also it reminded me of Happy Gilmore when Shooter's ball landed on Richard Kiel's shoe.

Back in the 50's thru 80's missed short putts on the finishing holes by the leaders was almost a given. It was just a matter of which hole they were going to screw up. But that has all changed today. That's because all these guys know how to putt. One guy made 52 of 52 from inside 10 feet a few weeks ago to win. Actually knowing how to putt is more difficult than people imagine.

Leave the glove on to putt and you deserve to miss

When I miss a short putt it hurts but at least no money is lost and no one is filming.😊
