Canada to be true outperforms all the countries around the world, because it is such a big country with such a diverse population from all over the world and a truly multicultural society built on a very high degree of tolerance and inclusion of all races. There is no such a perfect place in the world. But Canada truly deserves the title NUMBER ONE. It is not a homogeneous society like Finland , European or Asian countries. Yet Canada has built a very tolerant and inclusive society that other advanced countries around the world have failed. I think Canada has a lot to teach the whole world about a diverse society , tolerance and inclusion not only on a piece of papers but in everyday life. Big congratulations to Canada for being a model to the world and the best country in the world in many areas.

Lovely idea but I would love to see the raw data. How do you measure "Tolerance and Inclusion?" How do you quantify "Freedom to make life choices?" And above all, what makes you think social entrepreneurship will solve the problems created or exacerbated by the dynamics of global capitalism?

All of us who live in New Zealand know what a great place it is .Nowhere is perfect. We even have a conservative lead govt. Mind you we have universal health care our police do not carry guns ,no death penalty ...The govt have just raised the minimum wage to 14.25 an hour Good weather stunning views ,where could be better.
What a stupid video. Yes, money is not everything in life, but GDP measures money and governments work with money. Money is something else and happiness is something else. You may live in the jungle, without money at all, and be happy. GDP measures the power of a country and the financial power of their citizens. It's not "so what" when someone with a high GDP can buy much more things with his salary when someone with a low GDP can buy only food.

I've been aware of the need to broaden our way to measure well-being, happiness etc but did not know the history of GDP - so this has helped underscore the need to move beyond simple economic measures. It's a short, entertaining clip which should do well in promoting your cause. Good Luck
