Making significant optimizations for indoor scanning is really important. The temperatures in Kuwait reach 45- 60°C, so there's no way I can use it outdoors, but indoor scanning is really interesting to use

very cool. I was interested in the differences between this and the BLK2go, the BLK2go has more accuracy, more range, and works in darker conditions. Main selling point for this one is that the deliverables are instant, no need to process off-site. I think if I had the option and monies, 1 of each sounds like the way to go ;)

Very good job, explaining the whole process. Thank you very much. My only question is about the trusses or rafters for the roof: how would you scan those elements? Would you get into the attic and run another scan? Also, how would you scan the roof in for a two (or 3) story house? Can you do it with a typical scanner, or you need a dron to capture that?

The price is extreme tho. I bought a second hand blk 360, and the software is almost the same as what I paid for the scanner. Meaning my expected cost has doubled. I’m currently looking at ways to just use the raw pointcloud data instead, which I can use in my cad software where I am creating my model

Hey guys im using the gen 2 of blk 360 3D laser scanner and the import over cyclone register 360 blk edition with the Field App 360 is really slow. On task manager 70- 81mbits. Im call with "Scanner2Go" and the default are 500mbits. is the issue public ? im Using the latest version of cyclone 360 register blk edition. i hope any can help. Im Testing the Tablet (Field App 360) with Iperf2 and have an gigabit bandwidth (900mbits) and the drive speed are okay (700mbs on read an 400on write) With usb c gigabit adapter Wlan are the same speed 70mbits

Ok, I really appreciate this tutorial but this is just working with a point cloud as a background. I thought this was going to be a revolutionary way to mesh directly from the scan and put it in revit. By the way I pretty much worked out how to mesh from scan and import the mesh using other processes, but I was hoping to see some advanced techniques...Still a useful tutorial, but this is not creating a revit model from a scan, its using a scan as a background image to model as close as I can to the scan.

What would I do without you, Andy? If i need answers on Leica, this is hands down the best resource. Leica, take that into account.
