I remember my first level instructor showing me this many years ago; and now I’m happy to get to share it with you! If I was in a place to start a collection of electrical things, I’d look for one of these to put in it. I don’t know for sure, but I’d bet it still works… #dimmer #powerstat #luxtrol

Continuing to clean and organize, I found these Pushmatic panels and had to share. I’ve never seen them in this good of shape. Granted, they aren’t installed, and I don’t know when they were removed, but I’m still impressed. #pushmatic #ite #electrician
Two Really Old Electric Panels You Probably Don’t Want in Your Home (031)
Просмотров 671Год назад
I found these two old panels in the back of one of the classrooms at school, and had to get a closer look. The first one is a FPE panel. These were really popular panels for a long time so they’re fairly common; but you should know what you’re dealing with. FPE had several law suits filed against them, and even eventually lost their UL listing. If you have one at home you should probably replac...

Surely there are other videos here showing this process in a more confident way than I’ve just done. But I like to show you my learning how to do it; just like you’ll learn when you do the job. Hopefully you gained some insight from this video, and you can confidently tackle your own vehicle repairs. Cheers! #f150 #powersteering

I have the same unit with the same issue. I would like to repair it and keep all the functions but a little above my skill set.
Can I pull just the smaller folding section of the seat with the black side bracket?
There's a video on here where you have to trim at the bottom of the Mag to get the over molded plastic out of there when you have trouble feeding the 8th round.
Just my humble opinion ….. if Glock could have made the pistol hold one more and work to THEIR reliability standards, I believe we’d see a 7+1 Glock 43. Once you change the stacking angle in the Glock single stack magazine, I think the reliability goes down a notch. I also agree with you on the Critical defense ammo. Thanks for the test.
Mine has a little pressure
0:55 how do you knew that the regulator was the problem?
Very helpful video. The proper Torx size is T10 and not T15. A 17mm open wrench can be used instead of the Allen wrench to remove the back piece. I found it easier as the rubber hose won't interfere.
Did you end up having any trans or axel issues after a while of them being on
Congratulations on actually slowing down and showing the order of the parts, my kit didn't have a diagram and the part that goes in the front (the nub faces into and connects to the brass, to regulate when turning the pressure knob on the front). You are the only one that clearly demonstrated this out of 4 videos... Kudos & Thanks🙂
So does this make it the same size as the 43x grip or shorter?
nice
My C2002 does not have the hex screw/plug in the back of the regulator
Same here. Apparently they wanted to make it more difficult for diy repairs.
You could've figured out the MOVs were toast since the protection light was off, and you could've saved the original switch if you had desoldered the contacts from the circuit board.
Ty
I mean what the heck... did you create a new channel or was I unsubscribed? What happened to your old channel? Regardless, great rio see you starting to get back into videos again. I know life does what life does... And great advice on learning to take care of your stuff. I try and do that as much as I can, but sometimes get complacent. Great to see you brother!
Oh, yeah. Those will buff right out.
I always use the ace bandage type wrap in camouflage color
My old PC 6 gallon 150 psi pancake compressor was purchased in 2008, can't find the model or type # anywhere and was almost ready to replace the manifold assembly. Mine leaks air constantly now around the pressure knob and only stops when I turn it all the up, after watching this I will take it apart and inspect the valve assembly and order the repair kit. Thanks
400w metal halide is better since the light is quite close to sunlight! Every time I turn it on I always catch huge moths!
Hi there mister do this can operate under 240V?
Nope!
Received my Mag Guts +2 for my 43 in early in '23. Completely reliable with 8 rounds in the mag...+1 in the chamber. Money well spent. Appreciate that it's only slightly longer than the OEM 6-round mag; gives me a slightly better grip length and still disappears IWB.
I also came from a line of collectors and im one of them
Hahaha; the roots grow deep!
It's normal for that compressor get warm?
Absolutely. If it’s been running for a while, mine is too hot to touch
Great, I wish they’d make the same for the 42. The extension being no longer than glocks pinky extension while holding 8 is impressive. Thanks for the review.
It's considerably shorter than the factory pinky extension.
To much yapping in the beginning and not enough getting to the point.
Glad you stuck through the yapping to get some value from the rest
thanks for taking the time to make this video 🤙🏽
I certainly appreciated your efforts to produce this tutorial !! Patrick.P
I hope it was helpful!
Maybe set up some kind of a solar power back up
Yes I agree. I see all the people around here putting up solar on their houses; I wonder how many have battery banks attached, and how many just got talked into “saving money on their energy bills”
I've found several porta cable pancake air compressors with a do not use after certain date what the recommended life span of these compressors
I don’t know what it is. And if I was going to speculate on what that expiration date is all about out, I’d guess it’s about the tank’s ability to stay sealed. I think about refillable propane tanks for barbecuing; they have an expiration date, beyond which you can’t get them refilled. All speculation though
so which one is brighter? did you use a lux meter to measure them?
I’ve never measured them. To the naked eye, I think it’s very hard to tell the difference in brightness. I do perceive that the led corncob is more harsh to look at, though
In europe we only need an ignitor and an inductor for MH lamps😂
That’s neat
I replaced over 200 500 watt halogen bulbs in hanging pendant fixtures 35ft from the floor, with 20 degree LEDs from GE, dropped to 12 watts each. Had to combine the circuits from 4 fixtures each, 50 circuits, to just 4 circuits because the old dimmer packs wouldn't load up and dim properly, flickering, because of the low amp draw and no resistive load.
It’s pretty awesome how much more efficient these LEDs are!
As short as that is for a plus 2 if they made a plus 3 it would be perfect for getting your pinky finger fully on there
And then you’ve got a 10-shot!
So i guess that if it is exposed to weather it will get RUSTY?
That whole contraption? Absolutely. I don’t think my rid would last a week outside…
We like to get jinky
Shyeah boy!
I have just subscribed to you
Thank you!
But gluten is where all the flavor is at LOL Good luck on your journey
It is pretty delicious lol
Hey Nick! Looks like pretty good salsa.
Hey Marc! Yeah it was good; definitely gets a recommendation
The problem with mine is the little motor, I think, it makes a weird noise like it does not has the power need it to operate. Any thoughts on that?
That’s possible. Maybe the compressor piston is starting to wear out…? I don’t know what the lifespan on these compressors is, but they’re all getting pretty old at this point
In 30+ years of being in the electrical and stage lighting industrys I have seen and worked with many powerstat or luxitro peoducts. From about the 1950's in to at least the 1970's they were commonly used as a reliable means of dimming high wattage incandescent and transformer operated lighting loads. Some were motorized and and multi section (phase) and commonly used to dim an entire sub panel of auditorium lights as in a movie theater. The technical name for the powerstat is a variable autotransformer. It varies voltage by principles similar to those of a standard transformer but provides no electrical isolation from line (primary) to load (secondary) side. Now if you really want an old school lighting control experience find and restore one of those auditorium behemoths I spoke of earlier. You will be vary supeised at what was being done without solid state electronics.
Hi. Thank you very much for the video. Can you tell me which kit works on the C2002 type 3 please? Ive been researching but i wasnt able to find one that states that model number
I’m sorry but I do not know. I’m willing to bet the part numbers have changed, though; so maybe try with that?
A mercury vapour lamp is a very poor quality (CRI) light source, and the green colour you see in the camera is correct. However, our eyes adjust their internal white balance to match the light source, so you wouldn’t normally notice it.
Metal halide (MH) and pure mercury lamps are different. MH lamps can have CRI 80+ which is considered as good, better ones have CRI 90+. It depends of make and model. Some may have quite specific spectrum (like grow lamps) and thus poor CRI. As a side note (seeing the lamp standing vertical), I remember MH lamps may have specified working orientation and it is good idea to follow that. Even in the demo unit like this.
Correction: not all mercury vapor is green, coated bulbs are a thing, which they produce a pure white light. Also no, only the camera finds it green.
The ballast isn't a transformer, it's an inductor, to interact with the AC, to limit current. As such it doesn't have an "output voltage", the drop across it is dependent on its value, the frequency of the supply, and the resistance of the arc in the tube.
Friends, where can I get all that piece?
eBay, or perhaps amazon
@@TheSickestNick okay
I was just thinking painters tape when it cut to you using it, lol.
Lol
My HPS doesn't take a capacitor for some reason
That’s odd… but I’ll be honest, I haven’t worked a ton on high pressure sodiums so maybe that’s actually normal??
@@TheSickestNick I think the higher wattage HPS like my 150w fixture requires a capacitor to regulate the voltage
you should sell this to me!
Sorry man, I’ve gifted it to a friend
I put a THOR 5 on mine and your video helped. Merry Christmas
Nice! Happy Christmas
Tuned in but need to know how to take the panel apart too fyi.
Not gonna lie, taking that plastic off was a hassle. I took out all the fasteners at the bottom and behind the handle; then I muscled and wiggled it to get the retainer clips off the metal frame. I don’t have a good way to tell you to do it. Sorry!
You made it unbelievably dangerous !!!! LMAO😂
lol we live on the edge!
You can get a bourbon neoprene sleeve and it comes with 3 different thickness of foam risers for 20 bucks and you can change it to any other rifle/shotgun, if you do not want to spend more money...
I’m intrigued. What do you mean by bourbon sleeve?
