ToSeven is updating firmware from time to time. I don't have currently any bike with this motor, so I can't say how big improvement does it make.

Chain ring has reversed thread. You can prevent rotation of the chain ring by holding it with mounted chain.

thank you for the presentation. The brake line manifold, did you have to buy it or it was there when you aquired the tricycle ? regarding the differential, is it branded from the tricycle manufacturer or is it a separate brand. for both these components is it possible to share the brands names
I bought manifold on Aliexpress. I think differential was built by tricycle manufacturer. I sold this bike long time ago, so I'm not able to check it.

You can use Sur-ron only as a motorcycle. This Risun is a hybrid of ebike and motorcycle.

Well, numbers speak for itself. 5000 W in the peak versus 1500 W. And bigger torque.

Ciekawe jak często będzie trzeba wymieniać łańcuch i kasetę? Voltage Sag jest tak ogromny że battery level lata od maksa do minimum.
Hub w tylnym kole pracuje już prawie 2 lata i nie ma żadnych uszkodzeń. Wcześniej miałem single speed'a przez dłuższy czas, ale nie sprawdziło się to w użytkowaniu i wróciłem do kasety z przerzutką. Bateria ma ogniwa Sony VC7. Ciężko powiedzieć, czy ogniwa o większym prądzie rozładowania lepiej się sprawdzają czy nie. Musiałbym zbudować drugą podobną baterie do tego roweru żeby to obiektywnie ocenić.

Curious as to why hall sensor failure would be typical after 1-2 years? I assume that's what you are referring to. Seems like that is solid-state electronics that should only fail if the components or assembly are sub-par. Your channel has great information - thanks for your detailed reviews and hands-on work
I would not call it typical failure. I have 2 other X1 Pro motors, which are older and work fine. Hall sensors are the most fragile component in the stator. It's the most common failure in brushless motors in general, not limited to CYC only.
@@LierskogenEbikes Good to know. I'm looking at a CYC conversion for my fat bike. It will be my first e-bike. Having several CNC machines using hall sensors, some with flood coolant, sensor failure has never been an issue. We are talking thousand of hours run time, in machines built 20-30 years ago. I would guess that putting a BLDC motor down near mud and snow and keeping it affordable is a real test for a 'young market.' I can live with that if there is a way into fixing it rather than scrapping it!

Cześć chciałem się zapytać czy jeździłeś kiedyś na np. tsdz8 aby podać jakąś skale porównawczą tych 2 silników? Chciałem kupić właśnie tsdz8 ale boje sie że będzie wolny to pomyślałem może bafang bbshd jeździłem i jednak to wspomaganie pas jest bez sensu. Czytałem że dm01 ma słabe wspomaganie w porówaniu do tsdz8 masz może jakąś opinię na ten temat? Z góry dziękuje jeśli odpowiesz aż rok od publikacji.
Jak ktoś mówi że DM01 ma słabe wspomaganie to wygaduje brednie. Moc porównywalna z Bafangiem BBSHD i masz torque sensor. Polecam DM01 jak najbardziej, w tym przedziale cenowym nie ma lepszego silnika. TSDZ8 nie testowałem. Parametry ma gorsze niz DM01 wiec nie ma co zawracać sobie nim głowy.
So I have 2023 G510 M620 Bafang motor my torque sensor when pedaling is very stiff and noisy I have over 6,000 miles on it , At 5,000 miles I disassembled and used corn head grease after cleaning all the old grease out of it so do I need to calibrate the new torque sensor ? If so what will I need to do or buy to do so and how much will it cost me ?
Torque sensor comes calibrated out of the factory. If you have UART type controller, you can change settings if you want to. In CANBUS version everything is locked.
Hello, I am in the process of repairing my m620. The gear on the main motor core and the one it drives both stripped. I replaced them and am testing the motor off the bike and when I hit the throttle it just makes a whirring noise but the axle doesn’t spin. Do you have any thoughts on what it could be. I reinstalled per your instructions in the video
Clutch mechanism is not engaged when motor starts to spin. Maybe pawls do not stretch out to bite on the external ring?

I have a Yamaha motor that is powered bij Sparta ION. It's a bit different than the classic Yamaha PW. Can this work for me?
What it is this Sparta ION? This chip works with all Yamaha mid drive motors.
This is a motor that is tuned by the brand Sparta ION. So the wiring is different. I have no idea of the print in the motor the same

Do you know if all bafang torque sensors are the same or is there one for UART and one for CANBUS. Long story but I am trying to change everything over from CANBUS to UART so I can control my settings. I'm locked out of everything on BESST. I have G510 motor with controller (model CR R10M.1000.FC). Thank you!
On ur motor id number if it ends in U it’s Uart FC FOR CANBUS, & there’s green bike video that compares the two differences in plugs

Hard to say. Check on supplier website if they have only one or two versions of this torque sensor. I guess Bafang makes only one version, cheaper and simpler for production.
If you added a screw in the right place, you could just remove it to put grease in it.

Hi. You can get new Hall sensors from www.crystalyte.com. Contact these guys and they will help you. It's quite easy fix, if you are good at soldering.

I would like to ask about the motor i have the same motor and my pedal asistent stopped workin the motor is working the gass (acceleration ) its give me power but the prdal asistent its not working i do not want to use it like this its not so much fun and my battery is not last so longer like whit the PAS . Can you help me with this maybe what do you saggest what can i check what can be the problem? It was a day when started to work again for 10 minutes and then stopped again...
Your torque sensor is broken. You need to install new axle.

this actually looks like a very service/repair friendly design, unusual to find now days in just about any technology..
Motor has modular design. If motor brakes down, you can just simply replace faulty component.

hello. idk if youll see this or not but i got a good deal on a full stealth bomber frame with a dnm shock and volcano forks for really cheap i was wanting to know how easy the install was with the motor
It's not very complicated. You need to drill 2 holes in frame and install rivet nuts to secure the motor in place.
@@LierskogenEbikes man thank you so much i got a deal on the frame with the forks i stated and surron brakes for 300 gbp from a friend and ddint want to take it up without knowing i could use it mid drive.

My advice on connectors, cut off the anderson poles, they are not fit for purpose with the type of currents these motors use, i have 3 bbshd's so similar amp and current range to dm01 and after having my anderson connectors part melt and start giving bad conductivity i cut them off and use xt90 instead.
DM01 is more subtle than BBSHD because of torque sensor. In theory it push 30Amps into motor core, but that's only when you press hard like riding uphill situations or driving on throttle.
Hey- thanks for the excellent teardown and presentation, it's very helpful. Do you know the millimeter offset of the 46t chainring it came with? Toseven sell 36t, 38t, 42t, 46t and 52t 9mm offset chainrings from their store. Would these have the same/less/more offset than the original?
I don't have that kind of details. You need to contact ToSeven directly.
I have a yamaha pw-se motor my battery bms went into protection e and f flashing so do i leave old bms on or do i remove it completely? If your BMS in original battery is kaput, then you need to install a new one. It's impossible to get original one, so you have to go with generic one plus Yamaha BMS dongle. I have separate video about it.

Hey, I wanted to use the Yamaha Battery from my Haibike for my CYC Photon build unfortunately the battery wont give the motor its full power due to not connected communication line. Is there a way to trigger the battery that it will give its full power?
Yamaha battery is designed to give max power up to 600-700 W, since this is the peak power for Yamaha motors. It won't give you higher power due to limitations in battery BMS. Don't bother modifying it, just buy generic battery from Aliexpress that can handle loads up to 1500W.

I finally took 25 teeth ring from the cheapest steel 8 speed shimano casette and just drilled 6 mounting holes for the boss adapter. Or mount ready available single speed ring from Ali.

You need to get display compatible with Bafang controller. I haven't seen the video you are mentioning.

I haven't worked with Bafang motors for more than 2 years. Don't know what is the latest version of this file. You need to check in Windows hardware list, which COM port is selected for the programming USB stick. COM port will show up next to device name after connecting it to the computer.

Metal plates come with DP 7 box. I don't know if this is pure nickel. Box is from Ali..
