Domestic life can become boring for some women.
Blimey, I used to watch the Open University programs as a kid in the 1970's, now, as an electronics engineer, it was fascinating to see this old program on TV electronics, I wish I could find the rest of the OU T321 TV series. Thanks for putting it online Paul
What's with the 48 star flag patches on their uniforms? We haven't had a 48 star flag since Alaska gained statehood in 1959.
Such a tight band, top class musicians led by an absolute genius. So glad that I grew up listening to this.
Bill funny as ever
The funny thing is that the astronauts reach Mars in such a short time, as if they were on their way to the nearest supermarket.
Where is the second expedition, er, the second expedition according to the novel.
Ian is the best representant of the postpunk wave with this spasticus kind of jumpy style and humour, I love it verry verry much !
TONIGHT ... no signal = is enough! Don't "F" with Mars!!

Watch Threads, it will really put the shits up you.
Although we appreciate the great music and songs. The heart of the band was Roger Hodgson and I will always watch and listen to his music his talents and the genius lyrics!
I couldn't agree more, since Hodgson left the band it's been nothing more than a cover band playing its own songs, its soul having left its body since long.
But you can definitely tell not so super tramp without the one that made it work sorry yall ❤
best live performance I have seen from the Blockheads-gold!
It is excellent but check out the later Hammersmith Odeon concert. Norman What-Roy had transformed into a real bass monster by then, and of course the irrepressible Wilko Johnson had joined the band by then. 🤘✌
Thank God I found this, loved this as a kid and had the tune and vague, slightly incorrect memory of the first two lines of the theme tune going round in my head on and off for 42 years 😊

There was a TVS tape like this shown around 2 or 3 in the morning on April 1st one year. Back then all TV was meant to be off air. I only caught it as my dad and myself both fell asleep watching the television and woke up to a mix of outtakes, including teenaged girls telling filthy jokes and soft core porn. I wonder if it was a repurposed Christmas tape.
And This Band were one of Them
OMG
They didn’t even make this like the book because in the book the men met all different kinds of martians who tricked them with their telepathic abilities. It seems like they just cut big portions out of the book.. smh(first expedition)
So all the sudden, Mars has a blue sky… OK… oh, and air… … OK
Very good!
Great show, funny over the top comic style and innocent fun.
No matter we are in life we got to have money💋💋💋💋
Great band, great frontman and outstanding music.
Even whithout Roger Hodgson they are good.

Thanks for uploading this treasure great quality!! Oi o i
I recall watching this broadcast in a TV room at Lancaster University early on the evening of Saturday 3 February 1979 (apparently the performance was recorded the previous December). It still sounds as good.

Playin' Roger songs ..
And Rick songs....but all Supertramp songs.
@@lavallee1963 I know I know. Love Rick's tunes too.
This in my opinion the best group of all time - better than Pink Floyd, the Rolling Stones, the Beatles, all the heavy rock groups :), and I think the Paris concert was them playing at their peak.
