Are in these type of videos that i know brazilians are blessed...my family wants even to help me take care of the baby,even my husband mother wants to come from another state just to stay with me 15 days,helping me in my postpartum.Literally,almost ANY people i know here wants to stick close and help in ANYTHING they can,even my mom (who im living with by now cause rent its high and i needed more money for the preparations) its helping me emotionally and making SURE im eating right.To be honest,its a litle invasive sometimes cause they care SO MUCH they want to control sometimes kskskksks its funny and sometimes worrying,but it'll be okay

Rule Nr. 8 - wash your hands when you come in!!!

Before you hug anybody, wash your hands. You'd be surprised how many times I've seen family visit a new baby and NOT wash their hands after going shopping and handling money, going straight into trying to handle baby. Especially the older generations that let baby suck on their finger 🤢 And leave the place looking better than you found it, if you can! If the place already looks great, then leave mom feeling better than before you came. Let her shower, take a nap, give her a foot/hand/neck massage if she's down for that, watch her favorite shows and movies or listen to her music, make her favorite foods, don't bring up topics that will stress her out, etc. If she wants to bond with baby, leave them to bond. If she wants a self care day, sans baby, watch baby for her so she can pamper herself.

I would add one more: dress casually if possible! Don’t wear anything you’re not comfortable getting bodily fluids on. (This rule also has an added bonus of making mom feel more comfortable if she is still in her PJs, wearing dirty clothes, or is in need of a shower.)

I always go to friends home who just had a baby and tske over i watch the older kids send mom for a bath then a nap and i clean cook amd tske care of thr baby and older kids. My daughter had her 1st baby amd she lives with me but ende dup back in the hospital from a infection she got after her c secrion. I kept the baby at home while mom an dad stayed at the hospital then when they got home she had the baby during rhe day and i jad him at night. My 1st time leaving the house without taking mom and baby ir sad an baby they freaked out literally started crying going what do we do if he does rhis or that? I died laughing but told them they got it they are mom and ad and they will figure it out i promise. Not even 2 hours kster rhey was calling me in tears going he want stop crying i fed him i chsnged him i burped him i went back to the house and took over he just wanted to be put to sleep. Im glad i get to be home but im disabled so that sucks. But i had mom dad an baby in my bed sleeping at one point. They was to scared to be by theirsekf at night with him and they was scared rhey wouldnt hear him. They did they got up with him. But it was to funny to watch them go back to being littke kids lookikg so confused on what to do. My daughter goes the hospital is crazy they just let us leave with these tiny humans and we have no clue what to do. I go how do you think we felt she goes mom you alwyas had kids your a pro at this stuff i serar you was born babysitting babies. I died laughing. They are 19 and 20. Plz help new moms out. My daughter got ppd and i had to make her see the doc about it she was scared that they would lock her up an take the baby. Give mom a break let them take a nap clean up the house let the mom take a shower or bath make them food stop an grab thijgs to prep for then to just thriw in the oven to make or crock pot. Takes alot off them

That’s mild compared to what my reaction is and we don’t have anything close to that size spider in the UK! I’d have had an asthma attack, followed by throwing myself out the moving vehicle whilst screaming through breathlessness! I think she handled that well 😂

"And maybe if you're lucky, you'll get to hold the baby" I love how this is said; just because its your close friends or family that had a baby, that doesn't mean you are suddenly entitled to hold the baby, even if you did help out like this woman did by bringing food or doing chores. That is the parents decision whether they want the baby to be held by someone else. You are not entitled to holding the baby. It's not your baby. Respect the parents decision. And absolutely NEVER kiss the baby. This is how herpies is spread. You may have herpies without ever realizing it and you may accidentally pass it onto the baby.
