The Utena slander is what always gets me. One of the most critically acclaimed and influential shows in the last 30 years with hundreds of thousands (if not millions if we throw in all the youtubers who talk about it) of words worth of literature written on it explaining WHY it's a masterpiece. And Lily didn't get it on the first watch and therefore assumed it was bad, but one of the earliest things everybody learns about Utena is that NOBODY understands it on a first watch. That's part of the fun: unpacking the contents and piecing together the puzzle. Side note, I know she said it as a one-off joke, but if Utena was in Kingdom Hearts I would absolutely lose my shit in sheer joy.

Lily saying Mindful Education is one of the worst episodes when I'd argue it's one of the best is so strange to me. It acknowledges both Steven and Connie's trauma and strengthens their bond. It's very strange that Lily often claims certain characters never get any actual development and then complain when Steven Universe has episodes that focus on the development. I feel like what Lily wanted was a sci-fi fantasy about fighting and eventually killing the Diamonds and that's not what Steven Universe ever was. It was a kid's show that was primarily about peace, love, and dealing with your emotions.

Also, I wanna point something out about the KP/Lily call: KP SAYS SHE DIDN'T FEEL COMFORTABLE ABOUT THE ALLEGATIONS MADE ABOUT LILY. She not once say she felt uncomfortable around *her*. She still trusted Lily up to that point, believing her & in giving her the benefit of the doubt as best as possible (perhaps, to give Lily the chance to finally be fucking honest for once in her life). And as she (KP) was trying to explain herself, Lily decided to cut her off and shortly after lambasted KP on Tumblr (saw that when it all went down, and that was before KP dropped her video on Lily). I had seen comments on KP's og video, from Lily Stan specifically saying Lily had every right, even tho they completely ignored what KP was trying to say. Honestly, I couldn't understand why, given KP has been transparent about everything in regards to the falling out where Lily hasn't. But rehearing that specific clip again - yeah, no. Lily is still in the wrong for that.

Just wanted to say congratulations on this video getting to 40,000 views within 3 weeks. It's really well done and I enjoy your SU response videos in general, especially the one discussing Bismuth where you point out that the theme is about punitive versus restorative justice, not "fighting always makes you as bad as the oppressor" (which unfortunately both people who agree with Lily AND people who disagree with her/like that theme think SU is about, missing both the main topic in the show and also removing all nuance from an actual real world conversation). I know you said this would be your last video on Lily, but if you make more videos on SU in general in the future, I'll definitely keep a look out

I havent watched EmpLemon since he had a meltdown over idubbbz banning a guy who kept making sexist comments about women, his wife, and collabing with Sam Hyde. But I have to say, I was impressed by EmpLemon's other videos for the research and perspective he gave, so it's disappointing to see that his main argument for why Nintendo fans are bootlickers is because some RUclips videos didn't have a lot of dislikes and some Nintendo fans were annoying under his tweets. No forums? No (trending) tweets? No Reddit comments? Not even Tumblr posts? There are a million ways Nintendo fans can congregate and discuss things, treating RUclips dislikes and tweets responding to *only him* as the only factors for determining the wider Nintendo fanbase opinion is ridiculous. It does not take a lot of work to look for what Nintendo fans are saying and what they think. Refusing to look past his tweet replies and RUclips just reads as childishly spiteful and closeminded.

what I would do to fix this movie and make it better is it needs to be longer like 2 hours and 20 minutes so the stories can be longer and better especially Max’s story and Donald’s story. Here’s I would fix Max’s story, I would change the plot a little bit have Roxanne in it instead of that other girl and call it Max’s winter wonderland. Now if the original voice actor who voiced Roxanne didn’t want to voice her again then I would ask the creators of the movie to hire Tara Strong to voice Roxanne.

I'll never let it slide that I fell for her initial video and even left a favorable comment, before coming to my senses and deleting it, realizing she was completely off the mark. People like Lily are obstinate to a fault. She "knows" she's right, even if reality itself would beg to differ. If the choice between Heaven and Hell came down to Lily admitting she's wrong, then you'd best believe she'll walk backwards into Hell. There's really nothing that can be done for her, because she doesn't want good faith. She doesn't want help. She doesn't want to understand. She's in her own fantasy world. I swear to you she's almost a Persona 5 villain. I don’t understand the “controversial” aspect of Steven universe unless it’s someone who’s i don’t know homophobic or something. My basic analysis Steven universe: dealing with ptsd, growing from past experiences, family drama, and being the beacon for everyone’s mental health. The movie; deals with the same formula and self discover Future: is about the beacons mental health (Steven’s) and how carrying so much isn’t healthy and it’s okay to rely on others even if you think you have to be the one to fix all the problems. Death in these stories would I feel defeat the purpose of the messages told in the series. And it’s not like gems actually die, considering what happened with Jasper in future. Overall Steven universe is essentially therapy the series in its own way. The only true loss dealt with is rose as that is a big part of everyone’s mental health in the show. It may have had war, but it wasn’t actually about war. That’s what I’m saying, it’s about family, relationships and mental health. Getting mad about redemption? Bruh that’s the whole point, to show any can change if they choose it. Steven universe is a masterpiece (not without its faults but none that I really care about) I rambled but I’d love to hear yalls thoughts on the true meaning of Steven universe
